Glad you've got the growth mindset. However... Unwire the inner-critic... don't be skeptical. A few years ago, 5 lawyers told me I'd never get full custody of my eldest, "pay child support and be grateful for the visitation time". Well, my wife said call another lawyer while my daughter gathered evidence of unfit parenting by her mom, 6 months later, the new lawyer got the win, plus a no-contact order. I used to be skeptical, my wife beat it out of me. She's special, I was seeing 3 other women w…

Let me elaborate. My 17 year old is via a short fling with a crazy blonde chick, she was childless but pretty toxic. Even as a single dad myself, I did not date single moms. I met my now wife 16 years ago, she was childless. We welcomed 2 kids together and when my eldest was 15, I got full custody. My 3 kids live with me. If my wife and I were to ever not work out, I still wouldn't date single moms. There are plenty 30-40 years olds out there that are childless, however, you'll have to elevate y…

Don't do it. Many others gave very valid reasons as to why. A single mom will always have her kids as her top priority, kids will not respect you because you're not their dad. If you wind up long term or married with her, she can one day decide to take HER kids and bail. I'm middle-aged, have 3 kids (aged 17, 10, and 6) and if I were to become single, I'd have plenty of childless options, no reason to ever date a single mom. I've never dated single moms, a few random hookups but never took one s…

Similar resume as mine. Married 11 years, I have 3 kids (2 - I share with my wife). California, we have a manageable mortgage, no car notes, we have $1.4mm non-real estate assets. I work, she stays at home, both are degreed and capable of earning high incomes. If I get divorced, the contested route would drain our collective resources, so our plan is we'd got to a mediator and hire a shared attorney. At 10 or more years, you're facing lifetime spousal support. I'd recommend you sell the family h…

this is also true, though we have to take a deeper look at who are these happily married wives that didn't go to college. Bulk of the wives that do not have degrees fit into one of these categories: immigrant/minority, devout to certain religions (where they marry young and have many kids such as orthodox judaism, muslim, mormon, Catholics, etc...), or older generations. When you properly dissect the groups and control for age/generation, religion, non-immigrant, etc you find that these differen…

The sad truth is that although the stat you mention is true, risk of divorce is still very high for women who do not out earn their husbands. Divorce is up across the board. Also, I have read that the stats are also a bit misconstrued, some times women that want to get divorced will get back into the workforce or pour more effort into her career with the goal of marriage dissolution, marital problems take years to marinate into a divorce, so it is hard to prove the causation relationship between…

Gentlemen... this is why you don't get married these days. If you do get married, marry up. Marry a women from a higher tax bracket with more assets than you. That's what I did, and a divorce would hurt her financially as much as it'll hurt me. 16 years together an counting.

You work for her father, for now. How long have you worked there? Also, working for her Dad means your days there might be numbered. You definitely do not want to deliberately resign nor "get yourself fired". In the event you are fired, laid-off or terminated, document everything... for the purposes of suing your employer and asking for a modification. Hostile work environment... retaliation for divorcing his daughter, etc... the possibilities are real and probably likely given that your boss/FI…

It all comes down to who you marry. If she is loyal, traditional, agreeable, and allows you your place as head of the household, then certainly it will be worth it. If she is dominant, argumentative, a liar, or a cheat, then she can destroy your life. I am a middle-aged American, living in Southern California, I've been with my wife for nearly 16 years. She's helped raise my teenager from a prior relationship, and our two children we share. She's fit/healthy, a great cook, keeps herself up, come…

GET A LAWYER. Based on what you shared, and the fact that you are male, you've got everything to lose by not retaining a lawyer. Fight for 50% custody, you need to be there for your daughter as she enters adulthood. Your wife will pay you child support, spousal and you'll sell and split all assets, including house, cars, etc. If you don't get a lawyer, she'll find a way to screw you. I am not a lawyer, don't care too much for that profession but I would never represent myself in court, especiall…

Boundaries, self-control, confidence... This chick is a 4, I wouldn't take her to cheesecake factory, maybe pizza and beer at my place on a Tuesday, but no where nice. She's not hot, she's not pleasant, and she's recording herself talking? no f-ing way.

A lot of solid advice. Don't overthink it. Go to lunch, be honest when asked but definitely stay away from negative aspects of your divorce/ex. Feel free to discuss your children, where your mind and life is at, and above all, get her to talk about herself. 2 purposes, 1st you want to identify any red flags, 2nd is you want to be seen as a good listener. You'll want to disclose that you can't have any more kids, a dealbreaker for most childless 31 year olds you'll meet. My wife asked me to get s…

Not specifically addressed in the article I shared, but here is one where the stats are compared, by gender: "Studies have found that children that from single-mother households are 5 times more likely to commit suicide than children from both unbroken households and single-father households, 9 times more likely to drop out of high school, 10 times more likely to abuse chemical substances, 14 times more likely to commit rape, 20 times more likely to end up in prison and 32 times more likely to r…

the article is almost entirely focused on the age of the onset of puberty. Also, mostly cites wealthier western society, to look at truly cross cultural differences, it would involve stats from diverse cultures not just among wealthy western ones.

she goes to great lengths to cherry pick her 'data', a lot of small sample surveys on subjective matters, such as "children show more attachment" type babble. check this out with cold hard facts and stats on fatherlessness: https://thefatherlessgeneration.wordpress.com/statistics/

It doesn't matter what we think... what matters are the facts. Single father households produce children with similar outcomes as 2 parent households. It is the single mother households that produce the children that are likeliest to wind up in prison. Here are some of the stats on fatherlessness: https://thefatherlessgeneration.wordpress.com/statistics/

yes. most all cultures prefer their daughters are married before they start having children. The breakdown of the family unit is where things deviate.

yes, there is a high chance of this. My daughter's mom was abusing her and she'd supervise all calls, and would even text me from my daughter's phone pretending it was her. My daughter shared what was going on with my wife and I, so we told her to gather evidence. When we had enough evidence, we went to CPS, hired a lawyer, and won full custody, she has a no contact order and a Protection Order agains her mom.

Great observation. I agree, advice shouldn't revolve around women. MGTOW, RedPill, etc... are stand ins for conversations we used to have with our fathers, elders, mentors, peers in safe spaces for men. Many of us no longer have these safe spaces. My father gave me great advice on life and not just about women. He taught me how to work, wake up early, fish, shoot a gun, not boast, and get things done. Saturdays were our time when my brothers and I would hang with my Dad while my Mom stayed home …

I was a Chad from 19 to 25. I had some longer term relationships but in-between relationships, I slept with 100+ ladies. A couple gf's I cheated on, others I didn't. I wasn't misogynistic, though I did become addicted to sex. Most of my friends had a tough time attracting gals, I did not. Why? my height (6'3"), looks, charm, and was athletic back then. My perception of ladies did change though. They mostly all wanted the guy they couldn't have, the guy the others girls were gunning for. At 25, I…

I'd recommend you elevate your game (assuming you haven't yet done so). Do the following: Workout 5 times a week, learn to cook healthy meals/no more junk food, invest in a nice wardrobe, outperform and out-earn the competition, pickup some healthy habits like reading/meditation. Read: how to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie plus other empowering books you find helpful. Once you reach a critical high value, set up some strict criteria such as: single moms, low body counts, no th…

I recommend you go MGTOW. I was a Chad and if I didn't meet my wife, I would have gone MGTOW. It is just too risky. I've paid child support (for my eldest kid that was born to a messed up lady after a short fling, then fought in court for full custody and my wife and I have been helping my eldest heal from having had a messed up childhood) and to say the chips are stacked against us in court is an understatement. My wife is very traditional, works out daily, sets me up with my work outs, she's u…

My Dad has been married to my Mom for well over 40 years. When I told my Dad I wanted to marry my wife, in private, he asked "are you sure? Is this the person for you? Marriage is a lifelong commitment and it is a very difficult one." I answered in the affirmative. My wife and I have been together for 15.5 years, she is the full-time stepmom to my 16 year old (I have full custody) and we share two children. We've made this marriage work. This is my first and only marriage, same goes for my wife.…

Yes. Agreed. I was a Chad (1990's - 2000's). I got off to a slower start, I was average as a kid/teen, then from age 16 to 20 grew to 6'3", athletic build, started making okay $ in college, so dressed better. I got to a point where it became very easy to meet and hookup with many, many women. Most of my friends were not as fortunate, they struggled even getting a date. Hitting the genetic lottery helped, but at 25, while casually sleeping with 3 hot ladies (one at a time), I met an amazing gal, …

nice words, pretty spot on too. Avoid problems by avoiding 304's...
/r/Divorce_Men07/09/23 03:30 PM

that about sums up why those with a 304 phase should be avoided, they will always have that lingering doubt in the back of their minds... can't trust you, can't trust themselves to be faithful, truth is the 304 phase is one of the most selfish things one can do. The risk of a divorce is sky high.
/r/Divorce_Men06/09/23 07:29 PM

Humans are creatures of habit... avoid any gals that had a 304 phase, quite often, their ability to pair-bond is compromised, what may have led them to the 304 phase could be one of the following: daddy issues, abandonment, depression, addictive personality type, narcism, etc... Plenty of fish in the sea... and a few whales too. some fish are crazy too.

Please learn from this... do not date single moms, ever. Only exceptions are widows. Single mom's will only further complicate your life, plus are at a higher risk of divorce. Meet childless women that are mentally healthy, young, and fit. Also, she moved out, that's a good development, run to retain a good divorce attorney and get the process of untangling yourself started. Best of luck!

I'm a married, middled aged father of 3 that hasn't dated in nearly 16 years. However, here is my dating criteria from my younger years: Childless No Tattoos Must come from a 2 parent home No drugs, tobacco or excessive alcohol College educated with a good career Can't be promiscuous Project feminine energy A believer in Christ Attractive and in good physical shape Confident Using this criteria, I met my now wife. We celebrated 11 years of marriage this May.

I've got a 9 year old son, and two girls 16 and 5. My son and I have a special bond, he's into video games, basketball (plays in a league) and roblox. I'm into hiking, fishing, hunting, etc... He'll go fishing any chance we get, usually just the two of us. We pack a lunch, leave before sunrise and listen to music while we fish from the shore. We also go shoot hoops at the park, often the two us, sometimes his big sister tags along. You have to carve out time, might be too young to hunt (this gen…

It really depends on whom you marry. I married up, when we met she made twice my salary. We're both college educated but she had gone to grad school and had a better job. We'd alternate when it came to paying for dinners/dates. I proposed with a cubic zirconia, we split the cost of the wedding and honeymoon. I moved into the home she bought. Our income is now the same but she has a higher net worth. She cooks, cleans the house, does all the laundry. I take out the trash, clean the patio, keep up…

YES. I was a Chad, and it was not worth it. Bodycount is well over 100, half of them were not even single. Various forms of involved: longterm others, engaged, married, separated, etc...even a couple lesbians. I met my wife when I was 25, so I didn't have that long of a run as a Chad, but now middle aged, I regret my Chad years. I hear its gotten worse with the advent of tinder and the netflix and chill.

A few years ago, I had a nice chat with my 86 year old uncle, he went Monk and stayed that way. He had a couple kids that he didn't raise with floozies from bars, but otherwise, he was a lifelong bachelor. Confided in me that he's real lonely in his old age, feels he should have settled, if anything to have some company at home in his old age. Says it aint all its cracked up to be when you get past 75. Speaking of which, I ought to pay him a visit, he lives 90 miles away from me. My Dad's been w…

No. Alpha does not equal RP, I should have been clearer on my response. "Chads" are the true "Alphas". True Alpha's are not online discussing these matters; they are too busy banging 80% of the ladies out there (80-20 rule). RP are whiney beta males that have been burned by a lady and blame society rather than looking inward.

easy, if he gets angry when you disclose you're a feminist, bingo, you've got a red pill in front of you. A real RP would never bother dating a feminist, he'll probably weed himself out. Lastly, vast majority of men are not red pill. Majority of men you'll meet will be beta males.

sad but true. #1 is genetics #2 is social skills #3 socioeconomics. I am 6'3", athletic, middled aged now, but had what the supposed "good genes", straight teeth, full head of hair, olive skin, attractive, even when I was in college, and had no money, in fact I room-mated for years, I always had company. It is because Hypergamy is the law of the land. Not that I agree with it, but I understand how it works. I was a former "Chad", I'm 6'3", weigh 202 lbs (used to weigh 190 lbs when I was young) and was attractive in my youth (before the grey hair and wrinkles took over, financially successful and carried interesting conversations, etc...
