The idea that men aren’t drawn to female secondary sex characteristics (i.e., breasts, curvaceous hips, butts, thighs) is utterly ridiculous.

Haha! That website is like Fox News or CNN, but instead of being tailored for conservatives or lefties it’s for really horrible women.

OP, just stop going there. Please. It’s a horrible place filled with horrible people. The women who frequent that sub do not represent the vast, vast (99.99999999%) majority of women and the things they say do not represent reality. Again, please don’t go to that sub. You’re 14. You haven’t lived long enough to be able to put their utter nonsense into perspective.

You seem really sincere and I appreciate your effort, but please know this: What you describe in your post is not a woman problem. It’s a feminist problem. You are no more guilty by dint of your biological sex than I am. Again, I appreciate the effort, but it doesn’t sound to me like you have anything to apologize for.

Holy shit. I can’t count the number of times that a woman has violated my established boundaries in an effort to maintain an unwanted connection with me and get her insatiable emotional needs met. I guess if all of these women have had this same kind of experience with men, then it’s fair enough for them to talk about it. However, framing this behavior as a male trait, and ignoring the fact that women routinely do the same thing, paints a supremely inaccurate picture that quickly devolves into i…

From what you said, it really seems like your wife is trying to drive a wedge between you and your family and break you down mentally and emotionally. She’s probably doing this intentionally because she wants to control you and it sounds like she’s succeeding. I’m not a big reddit guy, but I’m throwing my two cents in because your description of your relationship is deeply concerning and I’m worried about you. Have you thought about getting a therapist and hashing this situation out? It might be…

Domestic violence is a huge issue for women. The problem is that it’s also a huge issue for men and the one sided feminist narrative seems, in my opinion, to be hindering our ability to effectively address this serious HUMAN issue.
/r/MensRights15/10/20 12:15 PM

As long as feminism perpetuates myths such as the “gendered nature” of domestic violence, it will need to be critiqued. As long as feminist ideology wields the power to influence public policy and direct the spending of millions of dollars in public funding, it will be our duty to critique it. I’m open to some feminist ideas, but they get a lot of things wrong and are far too often unwilling to be self reflective.

Do you really think that men are killing themselves with terrifying regularity because they need to have a good cry? You seem more than willing to recognize that men are miserable. Are you equally willing to recognize that men have legitimate reasons for their emotional turmoil? Do you think that it might be more practical to solve those problems rather than endlessly remind men that they don’t emote properly? Feminism didn’t create the majority of men’s problems, but it sure as hell makes solvi…

Men should be ashamed of...”not being emotionally available”. Because everyone knows that nothing will crack a man open emotionally like an all consuming sense of SHAME. All of western culture: “Everything bad that has ever happened is your fault and you’re probably a rapist” Also western culture: “Be more emotionally open”. Men: “........” Also, I think this article is a parody. It’s just too....stupid.

Just a couple of notes: Women are a whopping 4% more likely to live in poverty than men in Australia, according to the source the author cited in the article. Though I didn’t read the the entire 94 page document, these kinds of stats usually represent the number of people living below the poverty line who are receiving government assistance. Homeless men, who comprise the majority of the homeless, are not typically counted in these stats because many of them do not receive benefits. How do you t…

So in this research women were shown to be slightly better leaders than men in the areas that were examined. Thats great. I have no doubt that some women make great leaders. However, those women are not great leaders because of their genitals. They are great leaders because of their character and their capacities. Which is, of course, why people should be selected for leadership positions (and all other positions) based on who they are and not what they have in their britches. I would wager that…

If you are a man, then the only way you can be less of a man is to fail to be what you are. Masculinity is not a set of predetermined traits that you succeed or fail to embody. Just be what you are and be the best, most authentic version of yourself that you can be.

Recipe for a feminist think piece: -Find a ubiquitous social phenomenon that is somewhat less than positive. -Regardless of the reality, present the phenomenon in question as if it is a uniquely male behavior. -Ignore the other side of the story. -There is no other side of the story. -Anyone who would suggest that there is another side to the story is probably a dangerous lunatic. -Scream toxic masculinity at the problem. -Quote other feminists who are screaming toxic masculinity and ignoring th…

Ah, yes. MEL magazine: the "men's magazine" written for adolescent girls. Wonderful publication. I'm sure your article will present the MRM in a balanced and thoughtful manner. Hmmm, the article seems to presume that these couples are divorcing because men are unable to tolerate having high earning partners. That seems odd to me. Funny they didn’t comment on which party tends to initiate divorce. I don’t know about this demographic in particular but, at least in the US, women initiate divorce about 70% of the time. “Toxic masculinity” isn’t the primary cause of any of those things. Domestic violence, male suicide, and sexual assault are complex, multi-factorial problems. Our culture’s hysterical need to blame these serious issues on the bogey man of “toxic masculinity” will ensure that they persist. Reality is far more complicated than the nonsense you picked up r/feminism. Im not trying to be a jerk, but you don’t know what you’re talking about.
/r/MensRights17/07/19 03:55 AM

The term toxic masculinity, and the feminist penchant for screaming it at anything and everything that displeases them, is destructive because it obfuscates the more salient causes of serious societal problems like domestic violence, male suicide, and sexual assault. It is a confounding factor that does little to advance the conversation and ultimately subverts progress towards the resolution of serious human problems. Them are my thoughts y’all.

Funny, somehow I doubt the credibility of a study sponsored by axe body spray. Especially since the findings fit so nicely with the company’s attempt to rebrand itself as an uber progressive, feminist entity. Dubious at best I think. I’m guessing this has already been said, but I’m going to reiterate. There is nothing wrong with a woman having a preference for large penises. If you don’t accept Jesus Christ as you’re god and personal savior, then you are a heathen and you will burn for an eternity in the fires of hell. Feminism is a religion. I’m a nurse. The data on that is pretty sketchy and, in any case, STIs And UTIs can usually be avoided using simple primary preventive methods. I think that to assert that this is the result of male privilege backfiring on men is an egregious collapse of complexity. I think that we ascribe women a moral virtue that is not necessarily warranted in a lot of cases. This is not a result of sexism against women, its the result of a distinct and pervasive preference for women and a prioritization of female needs and wellbeing. To use SJW slang, it's privilege. Female privilege.
/r/MensRights01/03/19 02:16 PM

That’s a good question. It seems to me that, in this case, the line between infantilization and privilege is a little blurry. However, there is a line. Infantilization implies an abdication of responsibility. When women are CONVICTED of crimes and still get lesser sentences there is no abdication of responsibility. We are holding them accountable for their actions, just to a lesser extent. This is privilege, not infantilization.

I’m sure this person really believes that. The problem with her line of thinking is that it takes demonstrable instances of male disadvantage and makes them issues of female oppression. This takes the focus off of men and allows our culture to continue to ignore men’s issues. If we allow feminists to keep getting away with making these benevolent sexism arguments, then men will never make any progress. Reality is more complex than patriarchy. We need to start calling that shit.

I’m really sorry that you are being treated like this. Your teacher’s behavior is totally inappropriate. If this woman is creating a class environment that consistently makes you feel singled out and uncomfortable, then she needs to be taken to task for it. The dynamic you describe would be utterly unacceptable if the genders were reversed and I think that anyone with a functioning nervous system and an ounce of conscience would find it unacceptable as it is. You’re a talented writer. Maybe you …

Is it really women you’re concerned about? You seem to have strong feelings on the topic. You sure it isn’t you who prefers mutilated penises? If you do that’s great. Just say that. You’re a person. You can have an opinion. However, (you may want to sit down for this one, princess) your preference does not justify the on-going, unnecessary surgical mutilation of boys. It just doesn’t. Sorry dude.

You bunch of misogynists. This post is just a strong empowered wammen stating the fact that her aesthetic preferences are more important than her son’s bodily autonomy. She’s a big beautiful woman and she’s stunning and brave. Stunning and brave I tell you!

I have always been a lefty. I guess I don’t really know what to call myself anymore. It’s trite to say, but contemporary left wing politics have left me in the dust and I’m only 37. I would absolutely vote for Bernie. Kirsten Gillibrand on the other hand....no way. No. Fucking. Way. I care about people. My whole life revolves around doing what I can to make the world a tiny bit less shitty. Thats why I’m interested in men’s rights. I’m not a crazy alt-right white supremacist. Men’s rights activi…

Man, you must have been livid. I respect you for being able to sit through that. I don’t know if I could have. I assume that you are in mental health. I’m a nurse and I am hoping to become a psychiatric DNP. I want to focus on the mental health of boys and men specifically. As I’m sure you know, the APA’s new guidelines for working with men and boys have a ton of faults. I’ve read all 36 pages on several occasions and by the end I have invariably felt deflated and terrified. I’m really afraid th…

People who take on potentially dangerous jobs don’t do it because they want to. They do it because they have to in order to provide for their families. People who are awash in unearned privilege don’t have to choose to put their lives in jeopardy. That’s the point MRA’s are making when they bring up this topic.

I get it. I understand what you’re saying. I really do. I don’t mean to be rude and I don’t think that you’re a jerk. However, the fact of the matter is that those kind of benevolent sexism arguments undermine legitimate examples of male disadvantage and make them issues of female oppression. It has to stop. Men have challenges. Women have challenges. Our struggles are certainly interrelated, but fixing one side is not going to magically fix the other. Feminists have to start allowing men to cal…

Those are bullshit rationalizations designed to center women in conversations about men’s issues. If we keep allowing feminists to utilize this tactic, we will continue to be ignored. Men matter and the problems that both men and women face are more complex than patriarchy. Get off the ideology and start thinking for yourself.

Be a nurse. I’m a nurse. Get an ASN and let your first employer pay for your bachelors. You’ll have almost no debt and you’ll make $65k right out of school, possibly more depending on where you live. It’ll set you free man. You’ll be able to go anywhere you want and pretty much be guaranteed a job. You will date women. You may like some of them and you won’t like others. The main thing is not to base your worth on what women, or anyone else for that matter, think of you. Do you, brother.

I think that eating disorders and body dysmorphia are a way bigger issue in men than we know. This problem is only going to get worse as the objectification of men becomes progressively more widespread in advertising and media. Something to keep an eye out for. I also think that men are often shamed by the women in their lives for expressing emotional pain and vulnerability. Brene Brown writes about this issue in some depth in her book "Daring Greatly". It seems like, as a therapist, it might be…

Haha! I’m sorry, this is awesome. “You’re a misogynist” if you think that mutilating the genitals of male infants is wrong. When someone has the power to ruin your entire life- to literally rob you of your ability to provide yourself with food, clothes, and shelter- over a misunderstanding or an off- hand comment they lands wrong, your gonna stay away from that person. Women have a power problem, not an oppression problem.

I don’t understand this post. General anesthesia is not typically used during circumcision. General anesthesia is fucking dangerous. Also, if this lady is a licensed “medical professional” in the US (and I hope she is if she is running around cutting off pieces of infants and administering general anesthesia) then this is a blatant HIPPA violation. Is she an MD? She’s treading on thin ice posting stuff like this on Twitter.

She didn’t fuck up your life forever. I’m going to guess that you’re young and that, MGTOW or no, you’ll likely find yourself in a sexual relationship with another woman at some point. Like it or not, feelings and some modicum of heartache are going to be a facet of your existence. You’re going to have to learn to deal with negative emotional states. Comes in handy in life in general. The bad news is that there is no advice that anyone can give you that is going to make you feel better. The good…

Ideologically driven “research” will always reinforce the narrative of the ideology in question. Feminist theories on the dynamics of gender are about as trustworthy as Christian theories on the nature of evolution.

The ad itself is fairly inoffensive. In general I find these “men need to do better”, hectoring, Michelle Obama-esque messages annoying because they come from a culture that ceaselessly demonizes men and seems to put conscious effort into ignoring and trivializing men’s issues. It’s really just a minor annoyance though. I don’t use razors and I’m ready to forget about all of this stupid nonsense.

I guess they raise a few good points. Men are limited by societal expectations and often in ways that are detrimental. The problem I see with this is that it is hugely ideological. The writers of these guidelines have found studies tha support an ideological narrative . The intersectional feminist conception of what men are and what men should be does not align with reality of men. I worry that these guidelines reflect a new set of expectations that men will be pressured to adhere to. These femi…

You cited the 1 in 5 women statistic in your comment. Do you know much about that study? The study found that, in the previous 12 months,1.27 million women had experienced unwanted penetrative sex. The study also found that, during the same time period,1.267 million men experienced unwanted sexual contact in which they were “made to penetrate” another person. 80% of these men reported a female aggressor. Despite the fact that in both cases unwanted sexual intercourse was forced on the victim, on…

Hey, good on you for making an effort to inform your classmates about men’s issues. Its a sad reality, but it takes courage to talk about these important topics publicly. I commend you for your bravery. I think that your classmates could really be impacted by some factual and unbiased information about male victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Here’s a couple links to get you started in your research, if you decide to include these topics: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PM…

This is all just out of my head and is not evidence based in the slightest, but I’m going to fire it off anyway. In order for men to be less violent, men have to experience less internal turmoil. Men are valued for what they do, not what they are. As I think we all know, striving for validity is a high stakes game and it’s unavoidably tumultuous. We spend our entire lives sweating to make ourselves ok, only to find that everything we have built, everything we view as worthy about us, can be utte…

A friendly reminder: your value is not dependent upon the approval of women. Women do not get to tell you if you are ok or not. As a man, shrugging off the yoke of female approval is one of the most liberating things you can do. Fucking free yourself. You can start today. I’m going to say it again: your value is not dependent upon the approval of women.

There are women in government now. Are they doing men any favors? I’m not sure why you think that an all female government would be a solution to anything. People who view women as benevolent, mystical Demi-goddesses are either delusional or they have simply never spent any time around women.

You're right. The points I made in my last post were generic. Pretty basic stuff, I thought. Funny it made you so defensive. Just for the record, I never said that men's rights are under attack. I implied that men's issues simply aren't addressed at all. I said that in a feminist senators conception of a "female future", men's issues are not likely to be high on the list of priorities. If this future comes to pass, generations of men will probably suffer for it. So no, I guess I am not a huge fa…

I'm not Canadian and I just learned about this program. However, I'm going to go ahead and make a prediction. This ominous and highly ideological policy will be used to shunt resources away from men (despite the fact that they need it) and into the increasingly soft hands of the new oligarchy, or women as they are typically referred to in common parlance. So, my Canadian friends, I don't see any publicly funded initiatives to decrease male suicide rates in your near future. Likewise, I think you…

Occupations that tend to be hard and perilous also tend to have a higher percentage of male workers. This is a fact. It doesn't surprise me that women don't find difficult and dangerous jobs meaningful and pleasant. The surprising thing is that the authors of the study attributed the negative "affective experiences" of the female respondents to the percentage of male employees and not the nature of the work itself. To mention this is, of course, tantamount to blasphemy, but it seems like these d…

Wow. This is some crazy religious thinking. This lady could just as easily be ranting about the second coming of christ. It's also interesting how she feels it's appropriate to claim a whole heap of positive human attributes as uniquely feminine. I guess all those famous male artists and poets were just pretending to have an appreciation for beauty. It appears that, throughout her life, the author may have spent a bit too much time gazing lovingly at her own vagina. I don't claim to know this wo…
