All paths meet at the top of the mountain.

I'm skeptical about this approach. There are a bunch of stories on this sub about behavior changing after marriage/cohabitation. I didn't experience that with my ex, but I think that was because she was too busy hiding her schizophrenia.

So how do you distinguish quality women from the rest?

You only need to flip the steak once after 4-8 minutes depending on how well you want it done. If you like it more rare, turn up the heat a little so you can get a good sear on it. And don't restrict yourself to salt and pepper; a little turmeric or chili powder on a steak can be exquisite.

You don't appear to care about her needs or desires here at all. I don't understand how they could come to that conclusion. There's no evidence of it in the thread. Or is it just vigorous hamstering? Maybe this is the real reason: I will and have done anything for her. I have changed my life greatly since meeting her simply for her. I'll do anything she asks and I will break my back just to please her.

There's also 'A Guide to the Good Life: the Ancient Art of Stoic Joy' by William Irvine for those who want a more modern treatment of the subject.

I have a couple of considerations about NAWALT: Finding exceptions can be difficult and time-consuming but possibly worth it. Mistakenly thinking you're dating an exception can have catastrophic consequences.

I wonder if they say that because it would be an ego boost with the genders reversed: a guy has sex with 31 girls and for whatever reason decides to commit to #32.

I generally carry a pipe with me, along with a tobacco pouch and a cheap butane lighter. You'll need more than one pipe if you want to smoke daily as they need to rest between smokes. I started smoking a pipe in the early 90s before the internet as we know it existed, so I'm not familiar with the online resources. I'm sure they exist, and I'd be surprised if the Art of Manliness site didn't have anything to say on the subject. If you have a high-end tobacco shop near you, they should be able to …

Try smoking a pipe (but don't inhale). It tastes and smells really good, and it sets you apart from the rest. I get compliments on it all the time.
