This is a very interesting article. I find this to be a common thing in many western societies as this type of behavior is actually rewarding in today's work-spaces. Especially those unisex female lead companies.. Its NOT ok to scream or showing any type of anger if you are being miss-treated, but its still ok to use this type of manipulating behavior as its more subtle.. I notice this as well. When I start digging into my own past. Manipulators are extremely verbal as they are useless to stick to facts and information. For them, its not about the subject and getting to a solution. Its about having right, even if they are wrong. The manipulator is good enough to bend reality to his/her own benefit so even if the person is wrong he will easily find a way out of the situation.

True. You have to be able to take a similar ruthless joke about yourself to show how boundless you are... There are feminine gay (and straight) men who treat each other the same way as women to intimidate each other and that type of behaviour is often giving the opposite message.
