You ever try listening to another person talk instead of ranting about your own dumb shit? Works wonders. Ask good questions and shut the fuck up. No one cares if you're right. People love to talk about themselves, learn how to let them do that.

She wasn't rich enough. Would've been fine.

Good write up. I go clubbing every Tuesday and Saturday (best nights at the clubs I like) and this is exactly how my night goes. I might have a couple drinks at home to loosen up then I buy one when I get there just to hold. Dance, smile and put out the vibe. Then around midnight my friends and I split a bottle and try to get the girls wild. Pour shots directly into their mouth and let them reciprocate. Gets them close and gives you plenty of kino. Also, it shows you're a good time and trustwort…

Yes, but a little manners goes a long way. Also, people notice how you treat service industry workers and personally it's one of my biggest turnoffs to see someone being rude to a bartender/server/retail employee. Don't be a dick, say please and thank you, and tip for fucks sake.

Exactly. But it's imagining embarrassing myself that is "talking" me out of approaching. I've realized as I get older that 1) I probably won't do anything embarrassing to begin with and 2) who fucking cares if I do? I've embraced the awkward in every day life and joke about it. I laugh at myself constantly, don't take the interaction seriously and just meet a new person. Doesn't mean there still isn't that split second of irrational fear as you walk up. I'm always glad I said SOMETHING though.

Even when I really want to approach it can be very easy to talk myself out of it. I think for me it's trying to just make approaching a reaction. Also, just think if it as being interested in a person, not getting laid. She looks cool, what's her story?

u/apathytx is right. You have THREE seconds from the moment you see that girl to approach her otherwise you'll talk yourself out of it.

You're over thinking everything. Simmer down. Approach a pretty girl and say hello. Ask her a question, give a compliment... don't be a pussy and see what happens. Only way to get better at something your bad at is practice. That's called being accountable to yourself. You got it in you dawg! Just let it out.

The hostility is them thinking you're the same fucking chump about to drop the same stupid lines as everyone else in that bar. What she doesn't know is, you aren't. If you're letting a text message she's trying to send get in the way of the hilarious, witty, charming ass conversation you're about to drop on her then you're hurting the both of you. Find some goon to crack on, like the winners laughing at you instead of talking to this beautiful lady. Maybe there's a terrible song playing? Tell he…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
