I don't own a gun because I live in NYC and it's just a pain in the ass. However, I have shot and can operate many types of firearms with proficiency. Now if I lived in an area that was more open to owning firearms would I have an arsenal? No, because I'd rather spend my money on other things but more power to the people who want to own guns. What the fuck does owning or not owning a gun have to do with being a man?

Had a nice break from work and used that time to grow my beard so I could avoid the remarks during the grow in phase. It's the first time I've tried growing a beard and was unsure off the reactions I would get. I got all positive comments and a few shocked faces by my female coworkers followed by, "wow, I like that look". Definitely keeping the beard.

My sex drive is magnitudes higher than hers. At first I tried the 'I won't reciprocate and see how she likes it' tactic. All that leads to is passive-aggressiveness towards each other and no sex for either of us. Now I'll just say something like, if you bend over like that one more time I'm going to fuck you until you're screaming, even when there was nothing remotely sexy going on, just us cleaning up or something. Even if nothing ends up happening that night, things happen it's no biggie. Mayb…

For me it's about how you present your thoughts, not the thought itself. You can't say something so overt such as it's my way or the highway. I don't think that would ever work and to me it's just not how you treat someone you care about. Being direct about what you want doesn't mean saying it rudely or being condescending. There is compromise, I'm not running around like a bachelor doing everything for me but I don't let her dictate me. I found offering something softens a "no". No, I don't wan…

Good point. I saw it as making my intentions known and expecting her to chase me, but I can see how it turns into poking the bear and running. Albeit sometimes it isn't in an area that we can just flat out have sex. I'll catch her in at an opportune time when we're out and alone for a few seconds - come on sexually aggressive then continue on my way. At home with kids it can almost be the same scenario, sneaking around your own house so to speak. It's a fine line to walk and I still have to remi…

I have my own activities; rehearsing in a band, league night, or sometimes catching a game at a bar that doesn't include my SO. When we do some things together it's mostly as a family unless we can get a sitter. We do the couples double date thing every now and then and I encourage her often to hang out with her friends as well. The last part is because my solo activities are fairly frequent and scheduled. She's more spontaneous so I don't mind last minute 'you've got the kids I'll see you later…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
