Go to the doctor and tell them you have various low test symptoms so they test your levels. Make sure hormones are in check. Excess body fat can throw off your hormone balance. If your test is low and estrogen is high, it makes sense to cut to 10-15 percent first, as that will help your ratio. If levels look okay, eat at maintaince and up the protein a little from what you usually do. Keep lifting either way and make sure you learn the lifts with good form. If test is low and you don't want anym…

Fair enough. I guess it's useful at a collective level, but I find it is not very useful from the perspective of an individual perusing personal fitness.

I think this is a solid example for anyone being thick headed and thinking they can avoid lifting by running game and other bullshit. Bravo OP. I'll add in that if you've got your kids already and are in your 50s, there's basically no reason to not look into trt if you're at all curious. I donno if that's popular here but I hear it's life changing for people. Coupled with a solid rp foundation, it could really tie it all together and boost you to the next level.

Thanks! Yeah, they're called sarms. Selective androgen receptor modulators. Do your research though. Lots of them can shutdown your natural test production just like steroids. So you'll need what's called post cycle therapy to bring it back up. And they're all unregulated so you need to make sure you pick a reliable company. There's a YouTube channel called "more plates more dates" who talks about them a lot. He's a good scientific dude with an obvious red pill mindset. If you haven't already, l…

Donno! Does the same data hold true for different ethnicities? I know different people tolerate food differently. I feel like if I ate mostly rice and little protein, I'd get fat. I don't eat much dairy though.

I hear bulking is most efficient between like... 10 and 18 percent fat. But everybody's body is different. If you're happy with how you look and you're making gains in the gym, don't mess with a good thing. If you feel that maybe it's time for a cut, I'm sure it'll work out. Maybe wait until you plateau.

Healthy does not necessarily mean long lived. If they do that, their musculature and hormonal profiles will suffer. They might live longer, but life is about living better, not living longer.

Maybe it's just that the can't eat at most fast food places and such so they avoid the worst of it. That weird vegan shit they post is expensive. Most of them don't eat it all the time. Either way, I believe vegans on average are probably healthier in various metrics than non vegans on average. But I believe health conscious vegans are probably less healthy in the same metrics than health conscious omnivores on average. Does that sound reasonable?

I mean... Does it go away if you stand up straight or correct your pelvic tilt? I suspect not. Maybe stretches out a little as your skin compresses it. When you lose fat, fat cells lose volume. You don't actually get fewer cells. The number of fat cells in your body is fairly constant. So if your particular body has a larger concentration of fat cells in certain areas, you'll need to get your overall body fat percentage lower to shrink that area. Since the body will drain energy and size from fa…

That's true, it comes down to genetics where you gain and lose body fat first. But there's still nothing you can do about it (except liposuction I guess...). There's been research done into spot fat reduction and the conclusion is that it's not possible. Everyone has their genetic gifts and burdens. If you want it gone, diet down a little more. Alternatively if dieting is really tough, you may have low test (especially if you're over 40). Might be worth it to get it checked. If the doctor gives …

Probably more to do with hormones in low quality meat in regular diets. And that vegans actually think about what they eat but need to. If you compared fit vegans to fit omnivores who ate high quality meat, I'd bet the vegans would have lower test.

No. If you have that layer you're probably not as low on body fat as you think you are. I thought I was 12 percent once and did a dexa scan. Found out I was 18 percent.

I agree. BMI is some idiotic concept developed by the medical profession to tell fat people how exactly how fat they are in a vain hope to get then to stop driving up our insurance premiums. Aromatase isn't contained in mass, it's contained in body fat. So the amount you have is governed by body fat percentage, a far more useful number than BMI. I try to never talk in terms of overweight. Just fat. I think you have a good grasp on women's preferences there. 5'10 205 at 10% is fucking jacked. Hon…

Totally possible. You need caloric surplus to build muscle and strength. Eventually that will lead to excess body fat that you need to diet off. But some people don't care and just leave it because they like being big and strong more than looking ripped. More power to them if they can maintain high test and strength with high body fat. If he's a strong mother fucker with high natural or unnatural test he can still get strong even with higher than optimal estrogen. But if he diets that fat off he…

The primary scientific reason that being fat lowers your test is that body fat contains aromatase, an enzyme that converts test to estrogen. As you lose body fat, you lower your levels of aromatase and lower the conversion rate. You can have high estrogen and high test (ask bodybuilders who forgot to add an aromatase inhibitor to their stack and got gynocomastia), so it's not quite as simple as most estrogen = lest testosterone. It's all about the aromatase. Being fat probably also just generall…

Reply to LTR, "already taken care of" go get a card and mail it with a thank you. If she says her mom said she hasn't heard anything just say "trust me". MIL will get a handwritten card, be way more happy, brag about you to your LTR, value boost. Plus she'll feel bad for talking shit. LTR will learn that you handle your shit and trust you. Win win. And being grateful is a healthy and productive way to live your life. She makes a good point.

Yeah, my friend did that. Then I told them about a study that showed that children too young to be socialized gravitated towards gendered toys. And about how engineering and nursing were even more skewed in skandanavia. Because there men and women have the most choice and they choose different careers. You won't reach everyone. But you can usually manage to reach the ones worth reaching.

Thanks! You can also reference numbers on ok cupid. Women think about 80% of men are below average in attractiveness. Obviously impossible, but that's their perception. Basically if you graphed men where the x axis was the actual ranking (based on likes or whatever) and the y axis was what women ranked them, you'd expect about a straight line. What you actually get is what's called an s curve. Where most of the men are under rated compared to their overall ranking among men. And the top few are …

You can also just talk science. Let them form their own rp conclusions. Talk about genetic ancestory and how there is 2x as much genetic variance in the female line (mitochondrial DNA) than the male line (y chromosomal DNA). Meaning that for every male ancestor we have, we have 2 female ancestors. Meaning that half of men never successfully reproduced and the other half had children by multiple women. Start from evolution. They all agree on that (if they don't, they're hopeless). Ask theoretical…

I can't advise on everything here, but here's some basic stuff. It's fine to want girls out of your league, we all do. But at some point you need to get in the league of girls you're attracted to. Not saying go for 10s here, but you can get in the league of a nice normal 7. Almost anyone can through hard work. Start lifting. I met my girlfriend on tinder and she kept saying she was looking for friends. I asked her on a date and she's like "no, I'm just looking for friends". So I asked her to "hang out" with very clear sarcasm. On the date I kept saying "this is a fun date... Er, hang out" I just messed with her because we both knew she was full of shit. She later admitted to me that she wasn't just looking for friends even though she thought she was at the time. Women will be women. Just roll with it and tease them …

I don't think women are evil. Many men just don't understand that they have different motivation, goals, and way of thinking. Same as how women spout bullshit like all men are pigs. They don't understand us either. But they do understand how to manipulate many of us.

Honestly it sounds like your friends do t respect you. It's got g to be really hard to overcome that if you're after any girl that has significant contact with them. She's going to see you being at the butt of all their jokes and building any kind of attraction will be an uphill battle. Women are very attracted to social dominance. So while I'm not going to outright tell you to get new friends, I'd definitely focus on meeting women far away from the context of that friend group. You sound like y…

Lifting will be more important than clothes. Look up some bodyweight routines. You can usually manage to do them more cheaply or with free public equipment. Or maybe post in /r/fitness or /r/gainit for friends in your area who might let you work out with them. Lots of people like helping out newbies. Don't worry much about the clothes yet, but some people have pointed out that good stuff can be found at goodwill if you know what you're doing. /r/malefashionadvice.

Well... It does I suppose. I feel like it's going into her frame. Making sex something you need to bargain for. Which seems like fundamentally the wrong approach. It should be something you both seek because of a mutual attraction. Ideally anyway. I'm not married myself, but I wouldn't trade something for sex with my girlfriend. It just sends the wrong message. That sex from her is inherently valuable but sex from me is not. Someone more experienced than I might have better ideas. But I think ju…

If you negotiate for sex, you'll have shitty sex, even if it does work. Just tell her you're too tired tonight if you don't want to make one. And that all the materials are available downstairs if she has to have one. Then stand firm in your course of action. Do things for you, not because you want to see her do something in response.

Whenever you feel like it I guess. If you like the music, definitely go. But don't go super out of your way or anything. Maybe wait until he's done at least another show or two so it's not like you're going to every one he does. But I wouldn't say it's necessary to wait a month unless you want to. I think the same components of inner game apply to both women and men so think on those: confidence (always be striving to be the best you that you can be. I'm guessing you want to date this guy, not just go for a night of fun. I wouldn't message him, seems desperate. Maybe go to another show, dress a little sexy. Most importantly, feel sexy. He wants you, he just may not know it. Try and make eye contact, if he sees you, small, shy, smile and then look away. Guys eat that shit up. Then meet his eyes again and if he smiles, smile back. Just stick to the classics I guess. I feel like if you chase too much in the very beginning, he'll be lazy and not…

This sounds like she wants to limit your rate of bettering yourself because it's making her a little uncomfortable. I say keep going, you'll both get used to it with minor position adjustments. My hip bones stick out and I only get complaints sometimes and always during cuddling stuff, never actual sex. In a few months she'll be praising the new leaner you. Bulk again after 9 percent or so. I just read bigger leaner stronger by Mike Matthews and I found it to be really great for all around fitness info that is to the point and backed by science. He had a book specifically for women called thinner leaner stronger. Figured I recommend it. The dude version has been really great for me. It's mostly the same stuff (nutrition is very similar for men and women). I think it mostly differs in the recommended exercises (women get more legs and less shoulders basically).

I'd cut down to 15 percent body fat or less before trying to bulk or recomp. Being very overweight and a new lifter, you're one of the few who can effectively build muscle at a deficit. I'd figure your total daily energy expenditure and aim for around 20% less. Mentally it'll make a much larger difference than slightly faster muscle gains because when you lose the fat you'll start to actually see your muscles. This will reinforce good habits because your brain will have that reward circuit. Addi…

Well the most obvious example is improving yourself to the point where if things don't go how you want, you're in an excellent position to leave. Like married man sex life primer advocates. But things like gaming other women. Shit like that can't possibly be good for wives. You ever play mass effect? Paragon and renegade are both trying to do the same thing. Both technically good guys. Does it advocate doing things that favor the male partner at the expense of the female partner? That is what married red pill does. It might work out for both, but that's not it's intention, merely a side effect. This is why it tends to work out better for men than db

I think you misunderstand red pill. Red pill is different from db in that it emphasizes that men and women, logically, have different sexual strategies. Db gives advice that will help make your marriage sexual. So does red pill. Db does it because that's it's stated purpose. Red pill does it because it helps the man implement his sexual strategy. Red pill isn't anti woman, it's just pro man. Since sexual strategy is immoral, it can be perceived the other way. I guess at the end of the day, red p…

They're giving you advice that is helpful to the female sexual strategy. If you spend time being a friend, they can vet you. This is appealing to them. Not sexually... But logically they like the idea of already trusting someone who they get involved with. But they also ignore the idea that this is a numbers game. Sure, you might be able to convince a girl to like you who didn't at first. But is it worth the effort when you can just find one who is attracted to you initially who things just work…

I don't think you need to ghost her. Just stop making any effort to talk to her at all. If she talks to you, that's cool, but find a way to keep the conversation short if it's personal. If at work, just say you have to get back to work after a minute or so. If outside of work, take at least an hour to respond to any texts from her. And if you're not interested in the conversation, stop responding. If she's talking about something you want to talk about, by all means keep talking to her until she…

Lots of useful trades. Welders make bank. Being a machinist is one that I think would be fun. Learn to make useful things that people need and you'll always have good work. You can take community college classes to learn the basics of a lot of this stuff and network and then apprentice for someone. You get paid and do work while learning from a skilled tradesman. I'm trying to convert too. I'd say join a gym and try strong lifts. They have a great app. It seems like a lot of gyms can be pretty cheap. Make sure you find one with a squat rack though. Don't fuck around with the machines at the YMCA or whatever. They're a waste of time. If you can find a powerlifting gym, they probably have way better community than your run of the mill 24 hour fitness or whatever. That'll help you stay consistent. Plus people can spot you and help with form.

I lifted in a gym for a year or so and have just built a home setup. So I'm kind of new, take that how you will. But you might consider getting a power rack instead of installing the pull up bar. Mine comes with a pull up bar plus dip bars. And it's really nice for squats and bench since I don't need to get someone to spot and I can push my limits without worrying about going too hard and hurting myself.
