I started that one as well at one point and it does work. You can let go of more and more. Keeps you from attaching to things. Weak thoughts or temptations are also just things that people can become attached to and the further you walk down the right path, you realize you are not controlled by them any longer.

You are only anonymous if the VPN company you use isn't selling your traffic data to the highest bidder, compromised by a hacker (bigger target = more hacker interest), or secretly it's the government. If something like that is free, assume they make their bill payments by selling your information including all the traffic you create from your real IP address on their servers. So what happens to your reputation when stuff costs just as much but it's worse? Your own customers / the public gets screwed?
