I'm not even Christian, so I wouldn't make any comment about how factually correct you are here. But why would you want to look at something like religion from a reformist's lens? I've met so many Christians who are anything but misogynists. So if reading the Bible doesn't bring about the misogyny, what does? Isn't that really the question we should be asking of ourselves?

I've had similar conversations with feminists too. And while I can understand where they're coming from, I can't help but think, "you're talking about equality, and feminism today isn't about that at all!" In any case, I'm glad we can have such conversations in the first place.

Hey, you're right. I was a bit hesitant to call it "flawed" too. There's various ways of looking at the world, and far be it from me to tell anyone what the "correct worldview" is. I'd probably replace flawed with "divisive". Just to add, I don't intend to eviscerate anybody. I'm just looking to have a dialogue. I hate it when they come to that final conclusion. In my country, people will go as far as calling you a "religious extremist" if you aren't feminist. They somehow link it to being regressive and bigoted. Why wouldn't feminism then be identified as a far-left ideology? They are the ones dishing out labels to everybody who doesn't agree with them.
