There are some Men’s rights activists that believe women should be subservient but I don’t believe all men’s rights activists think this way. This is a societal expectation and structure that is placed upon both men and women. The women I know in my family and communities have aspirations to become professionals, but once they become pregnant, they are often made to stay at home by their husbands. If men made the decision to raise the kids, women would gladly go to work. I have had conversations with super ignorant women who have really terrible ideas and beliefs but also I’ve seen the same from men who believe women should be raped and not given positions of power or prevent women from making decision on their own body. It goes both ways and I would really love to know how we can stop this extreme polarization of men and women. I have amazing men in my life and i know that men face different struggles from us.
