I make 2x of what my now wife makes, and even after married I have to fight her to pay for things. She also makes a point of opening the car door for me after getting in. This is bullshit, you should, like MikeMacAllan said, to tell her you don't have your wallet and gauge her reaction. Or maybe this is too passive, I think that you could do even better, tell her to pick a tab, like "This one is on you".

actually I'm 28 and work for a pretty well-known multinational, and that's exactly my problem. My job is ridiculously demanding these days and I have little time for relationships let alone hobbies. yes I have, she was really sweet on the phone, and we agreed to see what we would do nearer the weekend... However, and this almost doesn't happen, I can't shake this feeling that I shouldn't have called so soon. Maybe I'm just unusually nervous, maybe I need to work on my game... Have been on a relationship for 3 years, barely single for 2 months, maybe that's it. Still I'll welcome any ideas to make this work :)
