True, if you have small group of friends odds are it'll seem like they cancel all the time rather than just a few. If you have a larger group with a range of interests you might get few people on board more often. Plus, If you cancelled alot in the past on them, they won't feel guilty about skipping your plans. I've known people to make they use bookable events so it guilts people from cancelling last minute. It's risky if people do cancel though and you've paid in advance.

Dominance might too strong a word. Always seen it as having strong boundaries. If you let someone cross it with shitty behavior it's not 'being nice and letting them do it just once to make them happy' it's setting yourself up for more of the same with giving them high ground excuse of 'you let them cross the line before and it was fine'. If you want a relationship it's a toxic way to start, esp if you find out later they don't respect such boundaries. No fun.

Text flakes can be connected to not being someones priority. There is so much phone tech/social networks its become less important sign to give someone your number/profile link. keep it short, talk about your interests and theirs. Like a mini introduction slightly less detailed than your profile. Plus women get alot of responses so they have to ignore a number too, try to talk to the ones who have just joined. giving up on online dating myself, chatting online is fun but it either goes nowhere or into awkward one off dates.

Yep, no contact esp. Break ups is where someone takes part of you away with them and you have to fill that space because you're never getting it back. Contact them more and you'll only lose more of yourself. Become less of a person and more of a desperate ghoul which is not good for future prospects and fun. 5 months later still attachment/lonely thoughts but with no contact, dating, spoiling myself a bit and doing new things i'm filling that gap becoming a newish person it's great.

meet ups website, also just get leaflets/read newspapers always have advertisement, prince charles cinema, bfi, barbican does live stuff etc. Sport events (crowd is mixed gender) and don't forget to check if any bars have live music or stand up nights, notice boards at sport centres.
