Finally someone who gets it. It wasn't like he worked at the NSA for a decade and finally stood out against the BS, he purposely wormed his way in just to steal documents and was there for two or three months gathering government secrets to release.

I'm fully aware that babies cannot express themselves fully, I just wanted to express the other side of the coin, circumcised males who are perfectly fine. Sometimes I think we tend to forget the other side in things.

I get it, putting a knife to a baby's penis = bad, don't do that. But it is part of the culture and I find it fairly offensive to call it "backwards ass tribal superstitions and their demonization of sexuality."

I admit, I don't have any of the problems that go on for other circumcised males, but that's part of why I don't understand why it's such a hotly fought over issue, I just have never come into contact with the negative effects, and other circumcised people I know have never seen the negative effects. I understand why it would be considered a bad practice, but I don't understand the fervor I sometimes see, or in your case, the drive to make the point.

That wasn't even the context of why I said that, I just think that there's no point doing it late in life unless you convert to a religion that practices it, it only makes sense doing it when really young since it's more of a cultural thing.

the only point I was trying to make is that the argument of causing pain was part of the debate, and from my experience, I have absolutely no memory of the pain, and so it doesn't color my opinion of it, It isn't on my mind.

I just see that you're using a very textbook fill in the blanks approach of debunking an argument. I also find that while you state your claim that no one does anything about circumcision because of reinforced dogma ignorant of the effects, I feel like your stance against it IS dogma reinforced by ignorance of the effects. I'm assuming you've not been circumcised, because I can honestly say it's never been something that's been bad, and I feel like if you were, you'd understand some MRAs take it…

I think that's a bit of a trap to walk into. Of course I wasn't able to say no, I was a baby, but looking back now I think it was a fairly alright choice, it's part of my culture. it's not possible to make that kind of call as a baby, but I doubt any one would decide it so late in life. I don't necessarily think those are the same level of circumcision, I don't live constantly horribly deformed, nor did I go through years of agony for something I don' believe in. It seems a little out of hand to compare it to those deformations.

So the problem is that since babies can't express consent, and that it has little to no medical purpose it should be stopped because it causes pain to babies and cuts up their genitals sans consent? What I'm hearing is that you view that since the majority of oppression has been on women that they should get extra boosts above men in areas?
