so when is the media also going to also write these kind of articles about men who are single and around the same age and happy single? my guess: never tin foil hat theory time: people (and societies) who freak out about women who choose not to be partnered with men subconsciously know how much unpaid domestic labor women do and the thought of that potential free labor going "to waste" is what bothers them

Hey hey hey, my horse definitely gives me back more love and attention for all the work I put into him. He carries me around for an hour a day trotting and cantering and jumping. :) No man could ever. The speed, attentiveness, and power of a horse is nothing a man can match.

Fun fact, Olivia Wilde (who was in Tron) is dating a much younger Harry Styles who she describes as "truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity." Stay mad, scrotes :)

From an interesting article I read a few years ago: "I came across this speech by Susan B. Anthony. It's called "The Homes of Single Women," and in it she predicted that on the path to gender equality, there must needs be an era in which women cease to marry. ... It was like reading someone from 150 years ago truly predicting the very work that I was in the midst of at this moment. She says, "As young women become educated in the industries of the world, thereby learning the sweetness of indepen…

I guess it would be a shocker if your plow horse suddenly after years of service decides suddenly it wants more rights and comforts. Shrug. Women aren't domesticated working animals but I am sure they are seen in a similar light by a lot of men: lower in status, less rights, less privileges, and an entitlement to their labor and body.

I finally hit my $1.4M net work FIRE mark! I'm still going to work though (for the health insurance), but this means I can up my horse entertainment budget closer to $2k/month. With animals like cats, dogs, horses, etc, I really feel like I get more than what I put in. They have shown me that I wasn't crazy for feeling like something was "off" with most heterosexual partnerships. I could spend the same amount of money per month on an unappreciative and secretly resentful dusty and not get nearly…

When I was 25 I was way more naive and easier to control, I didn't know how to really advocate for myself. Of course it's in someone else's best interest to hoodwink me at that age into doing unpaid labor the remainder of my life. I'm older now and would never settle for the things I'd be open to settling for in my 20s. I spent this time earning money and leveling up in my career and now it's impossible to close that can of worms. It's a scam and I'm glad it didn't work on me. I'm so much happie…

Unpopular opinion but as someone who came from a former communist country, capitalism for me is far better than the alternative. I highly recommend this free online course about capitalism from Yale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3aw2ih626s&list=PL2497FD1251EED4DD

I feel like she is someone who is not rich pretending to be rich and trying to make money off of people who don't know any better. I'm based out of the Bay Area (tech millionaires and billionaires everywhere) and know quite a few rich people, she does not know the shibboleths and it's obvious.

So the obvious solution is to make a lot of money yourself and only go out with younger men for their looks. It's not that hard to make money either, especially if you don't have an entitled parasite to take care of at home. There is an epidemic of non-working men: https://www.milkenreview.org/articles/the-male-non-working-class. Oh that sounds so fun! Sorry about your broken ankle. Keep us posted on the polo ponies training! Amazing you taught him to jump, I've been told that's very hard to do since polo ponies don't do any jumping when playing polo.

Oh goodness, tell me more! Yes, a polo instructor I met in South Africa told me he's broken over 18 bones (yikes) so I don't think I'll ever play polo that seriously but I do enjoy hitting the ball with my mallet while on a pony.

Life became much better once I got older and became more financially stable. I'm now semi-retired (aka: working less than part time) and spend over $1k/month on horse entertainment alone (both polo lessons and jumping lessons at two different barns). Before the pandemic hit, I was zipping around the world traveling in business class. A mediocre relationship could never make me as happy as financial stability. I am way happier being older and rich (hit 30 and became a millionaire at the same time…

That is kind of gross. How little do you respect someone that you demand they change their name for you? Clearly demonstrates that he thinks of his wife as his subordinate, no thanks.

Mixed feelings. He does advocate for people to take control of their lives, but let's be honest here: The only reason he has the career he does is because his wife does all the work at home. I'm also not keen on how much he thinks babies and marriage are the keys to happiness for women. I think that dream is over-sold to women because if women didn't believe it and stopped providing all that free labor, the population would collapse.

Go work in tech, you don't even need to be that technical (I find coding tedious). I make like $160k-$180k/year and have an excellent worklife balance (no overtime, ever), plus generous vacation benefits and recruiters hit me up on linkedin all the time. It is a lot less work to listen to people and solve problems for a rich company than take pictures and videos of yourself for only fans. Just read Cal Newport's So Good They Can't Ignore You book and go from there.

I just read a few romance novels this weekend to better understand the Bridgerton Netflix series. The biggest fantasies that women have according to those novels are: 1) Being treated well 2) Being seen as a unique human being, not just desired due to physical attributes 3) Being longed for by someone who isn't broke or repulsive and is around the same age 4) Long term monogamy Compare this to top porn searches (which are very degrading and sadistic). It's no contest.
