I agree with this, as a woman, it doesn’t make sense as to why I would need to ‘step up’ when dating is mostly to my advantage.

You’d be surprised by how church boys act

I think I could probably skip the obvious like don’t be an abusive sociopath. I think the most important trait of emotional mature people is their capability of staying composed, they don’t have an outburst unless in an extreme situation like someone dies. They don’t get worked up over small things and even if they do they keep their emotions inside.

I don’t want pregnancy, and I definitely wouldn’t want it outside of marriage. Some women are ok with it but single motherhood is something I’ll always say no to, even if I need to drop the kid off at the fathers forever.

Some of us have no sex drive or a low sex drive. Or some just think sex isn’t worth the risk.

Courting, be involved with romantically, typically with the intention of marrying.

It’s ok if you think this way, I’m sure a lot of guys do, but wouldn’t it be best to not pursue women with low to no body counts then?

Well as a woman, I’m going to have to disagree with you. Half of the guys I courted decided not to pursue it further because sex is important to them, I don’t blame them, and maybe about 30 percent were willing at first (maybe in hopes that I would change my mind or something).

I’ve seen faces dramatically change with exercise. I think exercise makes someone attractive overall, even in the face.

I would court men, so naturally, I would inform them that they won’t be getting any sort of sexual attention from me to any capacity unless they become my husband. Naturally, a good amount of guys decided that the whole Christian courting thing wasn’t for them. Men want sex, so in a society where sex is very available a lot of men, there is little motivation to pursue a woman who makes men wait. Not only that, but a lot of women engage in dual mating strategy so it can be hard to tell the differ…

It’s fine to withhold sex, you are not obligated to have sex if you are not comfortable. We waited three years, until we got married to have sex because I was young but also because we both wanted to do things the right way, or the way we feel is right.

I’m white, my husband is Korean, it surprised me when he said that he used to prefer Asian women until he noticed that systematically they would pursue him for commitment while having a promiscuous past with a hoard of mainly white men. He swore off on dating them entirely, not even willing to hookup with them. He almost married an African American lady before me, she was quite cute.

Does it offend you that my husband had no trouble dating?

My husband is Korean and never had any trouble with dating, but I’m a white woman so I’m limited on what I can add to this discussion.

You are the only one that is cynical. When dating, you should approach it with a more cheerful and less bitter attitude.

I get that, totally, but in my college that I went too when I was younger we had programs and aid for single moms but not single dads. I believe that was what caused the controversy at my school but I wasn’t paying too much attention to it.

The best thing to do is not pursue women with low body counts if that is the way you feel about dating.

I know some young dads were complaining about not having accommodations being given to them when I went to college.

I think it’s a neutral thing. We live in a free society where people can pursue what they want, it’s a coincidence that more women are pursuing academics. I suppose it’s a good thing that people are free to do as they please. Ideally, I think we want most of our population to be educated wether male or female.

He’s had a few girlfriends but none were of his standards, they were just placeholders until he found a woman that was wife material. He’s always had some female attention but he always felt like it was settling somewhat.

My husband is tall, fit (I’m like somewhat fit or at least healthy), successful despite his circumstances in the past, has a nice title. In comparison, I’m kind of a plain Jane. A somewhat decent looking young white woman. I think I’ve done pretty ok to be honest but there are plenty of women like me while there aren’t lots of men like my husband.

I expect my husband to put in effort as I put in effort. To me, it’s a topic that has nothing to do with income. I believe that sex needs to be mutually pleasurable. Although, I do also think that there are things more important than sex in a relationship but sexual satisfaction and compatibility is important for both men and women.

I’d imagine dating is hard for most even, even chads might be given a hard time too. My husband is objectively more valuable than me but I had an easy time when I was courting guys before I met him. I guess it’s comparable to flowers and bees, there are many bees and flowers but it’s the bees that fly to the flowers not the other way around.

I believe in love but I do also feel like relationships need a lot more than just love to work. Love is commitment, it’s an action but also a feeling. It can look like a Disney film or a man working 80 hour weeks in a mine for his family.

When I was a minor I did require my dad/moms signature for…basically everything but I haven’t asked them for help with my documents since turning 18.

I’m a minority when it comes to never really needing to pay my own bills. My father paid my bills before I got married, and now my husband takes care of my bills.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
