You can't forget something because you want to, you can't force yourself to not remember something. You can however do 100 more openings and make it a smaller piece of your life. Force the thought to not jump out. Do other things until it is so futile that you start laughing about it.

The place where you meet is key here. If for example you ask her to meet at a cozy jazz bar, that's known for its candle lights, she knows the setting and your intentions and if she agrees to meet you, you know you can proceed.

Don't worry about it, don't think about it. Just enjoy yourself it is easier said than done, I know. I have had 3 dates without kissing and everything went well. You didn't fuck up shit until she doesn't want to meet you again.
