Before you needed to be in some sort of treatment (psychological, medical) in order to change your sex. Now you just need to ask in order to be legally changed, this would make you immune to certain laws that only apply to men (gender violence laws) and would grant you access to the easier tests women have to take in order to access most public jobs (policemen, firefighters, etc.) by just filling a request to legally change your sex (you don't even need to change your name).
