I understand, but honestly unless she's a bitch, she won't make it awkward if you dont make it awkward.

Get this shit mentality out of your head. Be a confident person, and you'll be good enough for anyone. It's cliche, but just ask her out, if she says no, you saved yourself time. If she says yes, good job bro.

Yo i'm 17 and I used to be like you, I always had AA and was extremely under confident. My change took quite a while ~8 months as I lost a bunch of weight and just gained confidence along the way. Honestly in two days I say just fake your confidence, and keep doing it until it becomes a part of you.

Ahh that sounds like my plan then. There are a couple scenarios though from this if I go through with it. Say she does reciprocate the feelings and we hookup, where do we go from there? Do I ask her out later, or will she think its a one time thing? Or if she doesn't reciprocate the feelings and is well and truly over me should I just give up with the girl and cut my losses?

Yeah I mean I think i pulled a massive beta move, as normally I'm seen as the confident person in our friend group. Would you make out with her straight away? She's quite a shy person normally and not super receptive to kino like other girls I know, not just with me but other guys as well. Does it seem weird to you at all though that before she told her friend (the one i dated) that I shouldn't try for her, yet once I started dating her friend she told me she liked me?

Yeah I mean my birthday is coming up and she said she'd give me a surprise, but tbh I don't want to wait for that, I'd rather act on our feelings now.I once asked her jokingly how she'd react if I asked her out and she said she didn't know. I'm not sure whether she knew I was joking or not. Edit: I know the surprise is a kiss. We're both 17 except I've been more adventurous than her so i'd only be her third kiss vs. my tenth (baby numbers I know)

Yeah we're going to a party this weekend so maybe she'll open up a bit more. I've met with her alone a few times after the breakup, and it hasn't been awkward just not as flirtatious as before.

Should probably add, I still talk to this girl every day as we are very close friends. She knows I liked her and I know she likes me so we joke about it.I'm not sure though whether I should ask her out so soon though. We're going to a party together on the weekend and might look for a hookup with her then but not sure.

Oh yeah we talk all the time, but I'm not sure if I can get on that emotional level with her. Or maybe i'm just being a fucking beta.

I was beta and couldn't figure out tbh. I found out she liked me once I started dating her friend when she got drunk and revealed all.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
