Um no. Just no. You cannot just bring up Japanese porn randomly when asking somebody about their day. You seem to know a lot of big words, but seem to put them together in a way that is nonsensical. On taking pictures of celebrities, or paparazzi, I do think that it should be illegal. It is nothing more than voyeurism which is pretty sick in my mind. As for the other, it's one thing for someone to publish pictures of themselves / girlfriends / boyfriends / models (modelling, gonewild, porn for example) and expect people to comment on them (I'd hit that!). Thanks :) It's kind of weird - I set out writing this post with a completely different idea of what I wanted to say, but the more I thought about what I was writing, the more I realised I was letting my emotions get in the way of rational thought.

I kind of disagree - thought crime would be just thinking about it right? Publishing pictures is actually acting on those thoughts, and could cause distress to those pictured. It's kind of like telling someone you want to rape them but you're not going to. Okay, maybe not as bad as actually raping them, or even threatening to rape them, but it's certainly not a nice thing do.

That's actually illegal, at least in the UK. When pictures of children are distributed like this it's about context. Parents might have pictures of their kids in the bath or running around naked on the beach and be completely innocent. But taking pictures of other people's children and distributing them "for other pedophiles to delight in" is illegal and people have been prosecuted for this.
