3	Required to take Feminism class and part of grade is discussion participation...what kind of mindset do I have? Challenge the easy shit and then just leave the rest at bay: for instance, a lot of what was said in my Fem class was basically "If you're white and a man, you're the worst" so I challenged that by telling the professor that the sentiment is not supported by our universities core values; instead of bringing everyone together, you're separating us. 1	How did you get out of the loop of instant gratification ? My issue was with music. I was listening to the wrong kind. Rap/Hip-hop was fulfilling, but it left me in a haze. I switched over to jazz and more progressive stuff (certain progressive metal has the ability to get my blood boiling within minutes: I feel so fucking alive) and haven't gone back.
