I don't have much advice for you here, but I thought I would pipe in and say that I think it's great you're thinking this far ahead. I've had issues since I was 14-ish, and I didn't really grasp or understand my own issues until nearly my mid-20s. And it's impacted my life quite a lot. I have (and still have) a time trying to separate what is and is not normal for my own mind. Obviously 'communication' is the best advice you'll get out here (or anywhere really). But it's easier said than done, o…

You planned sex, with the porn and the rearranging. Women think they like it but when it comes down to it, they feel "pressured" and put on the spot. Women want instant "natural" tingles that don't feel forced. Oddly enough, I find myself agreeing with this. I think we girls like the romantic gestures (blue pill blah blah) as ways to improve our feelz (loved, appreciated, etc). But it doesn't do a lot by itself to create a sexual mood. And feeling pressured for sex when you're not into it is a b…

First time... too much in my head, thinking maybe a brain dump might help. Good: I think the bedroom is healthy. Striving for 5x/wk minimum. Been "shark week" (god I hate that phrase), so it's been a little standard oral lately, but that wraps up soon. Trying to keep my insanity self-contained, not react as soon as the feelings hit, trying to think things through to figure out why I have the feelings that I do. Having some interests coming back up (depression). Been really interested in a few pu…

Yes, they should. The problem right now is that the shame and discouragement for abortion is much worse socially. And there is such resistance to education and availability of BC. If we could fix these issues, get rid of the stigma around abortion, and prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place, these problems would solve themselves.

I appreciate that perspective. That's the first I've seen around here attempting to explain the why of that.

SOME posters shame and degrade women but not even most on TRP and only a small minority on MRP. MRP is about 1000x better than TRP. I completely agree with that. But I think TRP is pretty hateful on women and it would be pretty silly to disagree with that. Some of the things I've read on there have truly scared me. When I'm talking about this negative stuff and toxicness, I'm 98% talking about TRP, not MRP. The OP's post specifically listed TRP and MRP, which is why I included it. And honestly e…

I've been with my husband for over 10 years too. People change over 10 years. People can change a lot of 10 years. It absolutely doesn't matter what other people post, you're completely right about that. What matters to her is that you are participating in it, agreeing with it (or at minimum not offended and disgusted by it like she thinks you should be), and maybe even implementing it on her. I'll lay it flat out for you: 99% of women will be horrified and terrified to find out their husbands p…

Honestly I can't say that I have moved past it. The difference though is that our relationship has problems, so I was able to have some perspective on why he ended up at a place like this. You're in a situation where there doesn't sound like there is a 'why'. But again, your relationship didn't have problems (so you say). So why did you come to a place about sexual strategy? I mean fuck man - rule ZERO: TRP's mission is to increase men's sexual power and options. What do you expect her to think?…

Female here who found out too. My opinion, take it or leave it. the difference between TRP and MRP and why we are on our own sub If OP was subscribed to both, does not apply. and how strategy does not make you evil (the US Marines study Nazi military strategy, the doesn't make them Nazis) Military and relationships don't compare. It sounds to me like a suggestion that relationships are war, so I'd be pretty pissed hearing this. Explain that locker room lingo isn't nice to hear for outsiders. I'v…

Obligatory disclaimer: PP woman Jesus I cannot express how happy I am to see sanity in these comments. Seriously... no joke. You learned some basic lessons from this experience: Not everything is a shit test No does actually mean no sometimes Basic physical comfort is important to sex You keep mentioning "Chad". Well, Chad wouldn't have fucking cold hands to begin with (!!!), and if he did he'd warm them up without having to be asked. Seriously - my husband always has cold hands. (Love you honey…

Huh this actually interests me. I'm somewhere between PP and BP female, hope I count. Options are in no particular order. I'm listing options because frankly I don't ever see a unified opinion on anything I read, so these would be the responses I would expect to see from reading about such situations. One of your FWB starts disrespecting you. She cancels a date twice and is now sleeping with another man consistently. What emotions should run through your head and what do you do next? RP Option A…

I didn't realize until now that you weren't the original person who had responded to me! All my comments were basically addressing this base quote: So you are yet another person who adopts the 'I agree with the self improvement but I disagree with the misogyny' mantra. So pretty much the same conclusion. I can agree with the base idea(s), I don't agree with the group. I get the idea - but I would never call myself a "red piller" in the same way I would never call myself a "feminist", for the sam…

My guess is your opinion of RP is based far too much on TRP, and not enough on the core reading material. Can we look at this from the opposite perspective for a moment? Feminism at its core is about equality. Anything or anyone sane you read about is going to state this. It's not about lifting women higher than men, taking advantage of men, climbing over men, or anything of that nature. It's core is women should have the same rights and opportunities as men do. I'm a woman. Do I define myself a…

/u/daisyjane13 hits it on the nose. You need to be aware, if not involved. Being a good first mate first requires knowing what is going on! You can be trusting and still know your bank account. With something as important as finances, you need to be up to date. What if your hubby got hit by a bus tomorrow? You need to be prepared for the world exploding in your face. It sucks but bad things happen to good people sometimes. It doesn't mean taking over, it means being aware. Question - does your h…

posted by a endorsed contributor, that doesn't have a sane interpretation. Harsh? Sure. Nihilistic and politically incorrect? Definetly. But not misogynistic and hateful. Doesn't matter in the slightest though. It's everywhere. It does however mean that you always have to be aware of the possibility that she is a lying bitch. Not because all women are, but because SOME women are. Cause.... men can't do that? Considering Reddit's demographic of primarily nerdy guys it's no wonder that the dating …

"ALL PEOPLE have the capability of XYZ, so look like hell for red flags" Saw a typo there, fixed that for you. Seriously that is a big annoyance for me. Women aren't some special snowflake capable of evil, men are too (I've learned this firsthand too, shocking!), and we could even argue for ages about which one is capable of more evil. However, that doesn't mean that I can't learn from a guy that wants to treat women like shit, and apply it to my marriage without the "shit" part. I get that, I d…

Eh it's more complicated than that. But yes the misogyny is a big turn off that would send any sane woman running. "be a better man" is interpretable. I specifically said this instead of "self improvement". There is the captain/first mate dynamic which is great when the woman also wants that. Confidence, strength, standing up for yourself, being a leader, etc. I get that. It's "be a better man". It is generally attractive to a female. My husband and I have that type of dynamic (although I dislik…

I'm....... still figuring things out? I took the purple label because I'm somewhere in the middle. Seemed most appropriate. If you rip away all the crazy and hatred of women, at the base of "RP" you have basically "be a better man and you will be more attractive". At it's core, it's not incorrect. It's also not unique to men either though. The problem comes when you take that idea and twist it into being a woman-hating manipulative dickwad. People keep excusing the behavior as "the anger phase" …

There are many kinds of 'touch' (coming from a woman's perspective) than sexual and non-sexual. Non-sexual - Casual touch in passing, not really noticed by either party, probably done out of habit Sexual - Contact involving a woman's sexual areas, squeezing tits, slapping bums Romantic - holding hands, hugs Fun - Goofing off, wrestling Seductive - What the other commenter described. She has not been capable of keep up her YNAB account, she has not read the books I gave her and always makes excuses. Tasks and reading books? I don't really think anyone is claiming that TRP is telling women what to do. The nature of their entire argument is that 'women are women' and women can't change, are children, etc. Wouldn't that be talking to a brick wall, from their perspective? And from a woman's perspective, you're also arguing with a brick wall, because anything you say is dismissed by AWALT with anecdotal evidence as proof god exists and the 'amoral guide' claim. It's pretty pointless from both perspectives honestly. That…

Well first off, no one is a mind reader. Maybe they really don't understand why it is important, and if that's the case you should be able to explain it to them. If a guy is succumbing to peer pressure, that's either a character flaw and/or a group of really shitty friends. I personally would see a person bailing on any commitment because his friends told him 'it sounds lame' as being a pretty immature asshole, not any good captain. But that's my opinion. But yes all these issues would need to b…

Yes, simply from the fact it lowers your available dating pool, since it would be a deal-breaker for some. (Applies to both genders.) I would not with some exceptions, depending on the why. Stealing food because you're starving, for example. Things that with explanation are (to my personal moral code) morally justifiable. Yes, no exceptions.

As a woman, here's a handful of reasons: Anonymous Get a variety of opinions Get unbiased opinions Talk to people who know the subject better (how many boyfriends know how to makeup, seriously?) 5 being perfectly normal, average and dateable. I'd rate them all about a 5-6, except for #6. It's probably the photo but it looks a little serial-killer to me. Also #3 photo is pretty shit quality. Numbers subject to change on full body shots and getting to know them. (To me a 5 becomes a 3 really quick when you look at them and think "wow you're a moron", for example.)

I feel like this is being made out to be a lot more complicated than necessary, and that there are root issues that created this situation that haven't been dealt with or analyzed. Be truthful. Is it important for him to come? And if so, why? A) It's a situation that requires his support/help. (Say buying a car, a scary doctor appt, you won the nobel prize, etc) B) It's not important. Funny part is I really consider myself BP. While the reflexive answer has always been don't talk about Red Pill I don't know what the consensus opinion on talking about it after the wife found out, though. But in my opinion anyone who would say still not to really would have no idea how to have a healthy relationship. Your situation is pretty similar to mine. I found out my husband was getting into this, and mentally acted (or am acting) like your wife. (hamstering? Idk) I've only very briefly brought it up to my husband once. He gave me a pretty bland answer to the question and I realized there wasn't any point. I'm not arguing that it never happens on either end or that there aren't crazy extremists people doing deplorable things. But I do not see a comparison for RP anywhere on reddit for women putting men down, insulting them, stereotyping them, and discussing the best ways to divorce rape them or pass off a kid for money? Yes, just as feminists believe it to be morally permissible for women to be angry at men Some feelings maybe, but the hatred doesn't even come close to comparison. At time of writing on front page - RP: corpse feeders, guilt tripping into marriage, don't trust women bc stds, shit test, comfort test, cheating women... I honestly don't understand what you are saying. Everyone has a choice when they become an adult to get married and have kids. I'm 30 and have no kids. I guess you can argue there is some pressure to have kids, but that's no justification for this degree of rage I see. People should have learned to deal with peer pressure in high school. Thanks. I think the idea of not being involved is pretty insane. Even if the role you play is minor, it's important. Even RPW would (I think) advocate being involved just to be supportive. Things like buying a house are a big fucking deal, stressful and scary. Part of a marriage is tackling things together. You're asking a heavily male dominated fourm that's shown some pretty sad attitudes towards women. What answer do you seriously expect? Female here - any extreme is bad. Our government is supposed to represent the people. If any particular group (race, gender, religion) dominates it then there will be problems for the minority. You're taking the word "allowed" to literally. and there's no double standard here, other than what people say regarding "what society thinks." This is exactly what "allowed" is referring to - society. Other people judging you, ostracizing you, having to deal with directed negativity. Honestly I think it is pretty simple. Yeaaaaaaaaaah this is the big problem. Rape and sexual assault are significantly different. And while I (as a woman) support the idea of bringing light to both topics and dealing with them both... meshing them together as 1 "thing" is pretty dirty. I think it exists sure, in terribly simplified terms. I also think it is very problematic, for a lot of reasons. A) It completely ignores any kind of male-equivalent. I don't see men placing a lot of priority on their women cooking when they are young. Unless a guy wants to do nothing but sleep with random women their entire lives (which seems popular on TRP - so sure this doesn't apply to everyone), men will change their priorities as they age too. Treat people as individual people. No one has considered the idea that some of the men might be unhappy about the way they are being talked to, but don't make complaints about it because it would be 'unmanly' or troublesome.
