"Can't blame you. I would too, if I were you."

In addition to all the other good advice, it's important to embrace the reality of any relationship going through stages and evolving. Expecting to preserve the initial excitement in itself will create unrealistic expectations. Novelty is novelty because it's new by definition. It's ok for some excitement to subside while or other, deeper emotions to increase in a real, meaningful connection. You don't need to feel the pressure to constantly surprise and entertain your partner. If the girl you l…

Going out has become really mediocre. If you come here, you will notice it right away. There are plenty of people who are single and looking to meet others, but they are relying almost exclusively on dating apps. People who come here for conferences also wonder what happened to our nightlife. This place has not recovered after the lockdowns as well as some other places, but that's a different story. New York is way, way more back than normal, based on my recently visiting there.

These are valid points. I never said that women don't have good reasons to look unapproachable. I was just pointing out the fact that they are. And not all big cities are alike. The energy here has become completely screwed up, and it's very different from many other cities I've recently had the opportunity to visit. I know that I sound like I'm making excuses, but I'm really not. Many people will confirm that SF and the area around have changed in that regard dramatically. Tech / excessive obse…

I believe both sexes contributed to the issue. But to answer your question - headphones, sun glasses, non stop texting, looking super rushed and stressed out. I realize it's a big, expensive city issue, but still - if you are here and even if you have all the confidence in the world, it's not going to be really hard. But I understand what you are saying. This should not stop men from trying. Texas is a completely different world or even a different planet from San Francisco for instance. Women l…

One more reason - the vast majority of women look completely unapproachable, especially in big cities, whether they do so intentionally or not.

You can't go wrong with not saying anything, but showing her how much you enjoy making out or sex with your body, breathe, eye contact, touch, etc... It's really not necessary to give compliments during those times and they are more likely to be a distraction than anything else.

The best way to get over this type of regret is not trying to get over it, but instead to embrace it by making a mental note of what it feels like, so that the next time there is a great approach opportunity you are in part driven to make a move by remembering how much it sucks not making a move.

Well said - women lock down high value men by having the qualities, behavior, mannerism, energy, style, and lifestyle that the same men find to be both super attractive and rare.

I completely agree. But on the brighter side of things - it provides an easy opportunity to some men to stand out by not following this for the right women on the receiving end to appreciate a higher quality initiative from guys.

This is terrible and super lame, but I suppose that's today's reality, and since everyone seems to be doing this, this has become totally acceptable.

In addition to all th reasons mentioned: (a) when you are in uniform - many guys would assume that it would be inappropriate for you to flirt them while on duty so they immediately, in ther mind, disqualify this type of situation. They would also think that hitting on a cop can get you in some type of trouble, even if it's not true. (b) when you are not in uniform, consider delaying sharing your occupation with the men you meet. Get to know a guy a little. Once they like you and are attracted to…

Don't set high expectations for your first time especially if it's the first time for both of you. It's going to be special and scary and you are bound to make blunders, which is perfectly find and normal. It's the first time; don't expect or assume it's going to be the best time. This is just the beginning. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. We have all been there and we have all done those mistakes. Your nervousness might impact your ability to perform. The best way to overcome it is just not t…

It's very important. Part of enjoying sex is knowing and seeing that the woman you're having sex with is enjoying it as well. On the other hand, having sex with a woman who's just laying there like a corpse is obviously terrible. Seeing the girl enjoy being with you doesn't only boost your ego, but it also turns the whole experience into a much more satisfying one for you. Also, if you think you might be serious about a girl, it would be even more important to know that she's happy with you in b…

This is a perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone in all the right way and push yourself mentally in the right direction - act like nothing good or bad happened. Be courteous without being any more friendly than you would to any stranger. The strongest message you can and should consider sending is that what happened between the two of you doesn't bother you one way or the other. You are angry about it and you have moved on.

90's and even early 2000's were a completely different world in so many ways. No social media, no texting. Girls who went out all the time because they want to be seen and they don't have Instagram / Tiktok for that. Were more fun places to go out like late night cafes, cool dj bars and better / more dance clubs. Both sexes cared about each encounter with the opposite sex way, way more because it was so much harder to have. You were lucky if you talked to one person a month. A smile or a complim…

You should feel great. You had the guts to do what fewer and fewer men do these days, as approaching becomes less and less common. Regardless of the result, you beat your internal obstacles and talked to a girl. You couldn't possibly know whether she was available. No reason to feel like shit if you stop comparing yourself to others. Only compare yourself to yourself and where you were before. If this was your first approach, clearly you are doing better today than yesterday. This is just your f…

if she shows signs of interest in real life, going around and messaging her on Facebook is a fairly weak move. it's better to actually have a longer conversation with her the next time you see her and ask to call her so you can set up the time to meet with her when she's not at work.

This is a very important topic as the temptation to make the girl laugh non stop can be quite significant. The key to avoiding this problem is being funny in moderation. Maybe 70-80% being serious / interesting and 20% funny in the right and tasteful way, so you don't appear like a professional clown.

The easiest and the best thing to do in this type of situation is to exclaim fairly loudly and openly "How is it going?" - not in a casual way but in a way that would make it clear that you are expecting a response. You should be mentally ready to say it just as soon as a woman smiles at you. If she responds in any way, such as "I am well how are you?" You immediately answer and ask her where she is headed or, depending on the context, try to guess where she is headed - i.e. gym, yoga class, mal…

I applaud your efforts and your approach. This is as rare for men to experience as it is flattering. The problem is that because it's so rare and so unexpected, many guys won't even know that you are trying to flirt with them when you say something nice, so it might take a bit of time for them to get the hint. Regardless this is the type of equality that we want to see that will benefit everyone. Women can do so much to help change the dismal current flirting dynamic. Once you start making moves…

Comparing yourself to others is always a bad idea, however tempting it might be at times. There is always someone more successful or less successful than you are in every aspect of life. This shouldn't guide your mindset. You have your own unique situation - unique looks, personality, strengths and challenges. What makes another guy happy might not make you happy, so you shouldn't use other guys' success and failures as a point of reference, not to mention the fact that many other guys all too o…

Because the whole world of in-person pick up is dead in many or most areas of the US / the world and has been traded for dating apps, the PUA sites and forums have been largely abandoned by those who used to run them back in the good old days.

This is super sad and this type of question used to mean exactly that - asking the guy to confirm that they are in fact in a relationship.

Yes, women write things about themselves that appear to be innocuous to them, when what they say actually lead to a reasonable inference of them having high mileage. Also, too many women are asking for an amazing connection with a great guy without showing any type of quality that would make them deserve it.

Indeed, the "be yourself" advice is as common as it is useless. It doesn't really say anything. Further, it conforms to this other very mainstream idea of "not judging" as an excuse for and rationalization of not being open to improving yourself and changing those aspects of your behavior that can and should be changed.

It has been almost historically proven that offering your number doesn't work. Women see it as a weak move and they won't call even if they are interested.

Try it sometimes. It's really not a big deal. If she likes and she is minimally interested, she will be flattered and the rest of her crew will either be jealous or will admire you for doing that or both. And a few moments of minimal awkwardness are surely worth it.

One of the best ways to ask one girl out of the group is to simply ask her to step away from the group before they leave to talk to you in private for a minute and ask her if you could call / see her sometimes when you are not working.

It's not necessary clear based on this exchange that she is ready to sleep with you immediately. I would ease into this, ask her out, see how things are going between the two of you, lay the appropriate "groundwork" and if things go well enough and there appears to be sufficient comfort level, you can suggest staying together at a hotel. It might take more than one date to get there, which is perfectly fine.

One, proven to be effective way to overcome this problem is making "baby steps" when it comes to interacting with these women. For starters, try to have the most casual conversations with these women with no agenda whatsoever. You will soon notice that some of these girls are nice, while others are stuck up and annoying. Some are interesting and fun to talk to while others' personality would make you cringe no matter how hot they are. Once you get used to the idea that these girls are not differ…

It's a well known phenomenon that fear of loss, makes that loss way more likely to happen. When you start walking on eggshells, that's exactly when you are going to appear boring and unattractive to women, especially to the higher quality women who want the guy to have opinions of his own and not be a pushover. These are the same women who tend to dig sarcasm. One thing that should help you not to overanalyze things is keeping in mind the following - if the big picture between the two of you is …

One simple, fun and seductive enough activity is going to a place with nice views (mountains, hills, ocean) for a photo shoot. It can be as provocative or non provocative as the weather and your comfort level permits. Many if not most women love to have their pictures taken. You can have a lot of fun taking all kinds of shots. She can bring a few different outfits to change. This can a turn-on in all the right ways for both you and her. It would help if you have decent photography skills which y…

Here are a few tips on starting a conversation on a dating app: Look at her pictures and at what she wrote about herself. You might find a very useful information there to start a conversation with. For instance, if she says she likes traveling or reading - ask her what she is reading now, or ask her what her most memorable traveling destination so far was. If she says she is down to earth, ask her what being down to earth means to her. If one of her pictures has been taken at a very exotic dest…

The context of your question - i.e. how you met, whether you went out already, etc., would be quite helpful. Setting this aside, this issue often starts way earlier or in the very beginning of an interaction - when the guy's initial text messages are weak and do not stimulate an interesting conversation, such as "hey", "how are you?" and "how is it going", "how was your weekend" or any trivial observation about weather. If that's how the conversation starts, it's bound to hit a dead end, and tha…
