Well said. In the Menslib case, it's terrible to see how a couple of self righteous mods can ruin a subreddit.

A relationship in which I am aggressively asked this question
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/23 06:33 PM

Didn't mean to conflate you the individual and an entire gender, I'm sorry it came off that way. Still, I don't think that's a good quote to explain anyone's choices, as long as they were of sound mind at the time.

Bojack Horseman is a good series, but a famously stupid character. It doesn't really do well for women to explain their bad choices with a quote from that emotionally crippled horse

Showing signs of internet is, ironically, the one red flag that Reddit won't endlessly go on about

Bruh, my point is that there's no good way to know that info without knowing the specific person well enough

By following his eyes? We aren't mind readers man, trying to gauge everyone's reaction to others and gleam their sexuality from it is a path to madness, as well as huge assumptions

Lol, and how would you tell if a given masculine male acquaintance is gay or not?

I agree, but everyone might have a different idea of the job description and requirements, so to speak. But this seems like a good way to at least approach dating

Thank you. It's so frustrating and weird to read so many people thinking that basic human psychology is different between the sexes. Personalities and motivations have the same variation and distribution for men and women. Those who think otherwise need to get out more.

It sounds sadder to me to stay deluded for no real reason, constantly holding yourself to the nebulous, unreachable standard of "self improvement" until the opposite sex validates you, which will never come. After realizing this, you may not find joy in life, but you can at least try focusing on other things.

Man, social discourse on this website sucks. I'm in a glass house here but we should really stay away from these subreddits. Everyone wants to stay detached from reality to justify their own grudges.

Yeah, this subreddit seems to be a platform for mostly lonely men to rationalize away their loneliness

Well put. When I'm "happy," it just means that nothing is currently going wrong. There's no greater level of life satisfaction that's possible for me.

Someone else already explained his real problem better than myself, so I'll say that all the good advice that JP does have, can easily be found from other people without JP's really toxic associations

Yeah, he ultimately seems like a crazy traditionalist who also wants to keep men and women alike in the right wing economic thresher

Because women pretty much do decide our value, and it's a situation that causes frustration for pretty much everyone involved. Or at least the losers

I think you listed the answers accurately in descending order. They're all real and variously affect people, but there's a general lack of interest among more men, plus bad social prejudices.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
