Thank you for your thoughtful response. I don't have sympathy for false accusers of any crime. And, to be quite honest, I've been disturbed by the public shaming of the accused as part of the recent #MeToo movement. Everyone deserves their due process and is innocent until proven guilty. Ok, statistics show that it is in fact hard to convict someone of rape. Gary Dotson was convicted in 1979...that's before we even started using DNA evidence (1986). In modern criminal trials you need forensic & DNA evidence to win a conviction on a charge as serious as rape. Can you name a modern rape trial where a person was convicted on the accused's testimony along?
