| 15 | Illegally copying a DVD can get you a five year prison term; lying about rape -- one year maximumI remember hearing that in Islamic law, the punishment for perjury is the same punishment which is at stake in the original case: If you commit perjury in a case where somebody might get 5 years of prison, that's what you risk too. If you commit perjury in a case where somebody might get a death penalty, that's what at stake for you too. Maybe not a bad principle.
