This can definitely work with the right guy. I know because I am a guy and every relationship I've ever been in has started this way. I've never actually had the confidence to pursue a woman. My relationships have always grown slowly with woman I wouldn't necessarily pursue in the first place. They have always pursued me. Keep in mind though, that guys who this would work on would likely have very low confidence and may only be attracted to the fact that you're interested in them. ie: they like …

She knows. I've told her all of this. But, I think she may believe she can change my mind. And deep down, maybe I do want her to change my mind. We've both agreed that if our arrangement ceases to be beneficial to both of us or we get to a point where we feel the need to lie to the other person or feel stifled or controlled, then we either need to address it or end it. As long as I can have what I want out of life, and she has what she needs out of life then I see no harm in spending time togeth…

I'm currently in this "Sexual Nirvana" period you describe. It's amazing. Some of the best sex I've ever had. Deep down, I know It's completely irrational and almost identical to a drug addiction. But what do I do? We've both talked about this and realize that nothing lasts forever. Right now, we're both simply enjoying what's happening and see no reason not to atleast experience it knowing that all relationships are temporary anyways. I read lots of MGTOW and Redpill and I do believe that I'm h…

Did your doctor interrogate you about your reasons and the fact that you haven't had kids yet? Did he try to talk you out of it?

I've been divorced for over a year and happily MGTOW since then. Life has never been better for me. Suddenly I met a new woman and it's terrifying how much it is like a drug addiction. I can't stay away and I'm already trying to figure out how to spend more time with her. I'm fighting the urge to Reduce time spent on hobbies, free time and workouts. It really is EXACTLY like a drug addiction.

Because most men don't want to go the MGTOW route. They'd rather learn to play the game more effectively. Sexuality is a hell of a drug!

I recall a perfect counterexample to this in an episode of "Louie" where he was on a date with a girl and this teenage thug comes up to him and starts talking shit and threatening him. Louie doesn't do anything but back down and try to deescalate the situation - but ultimately he was completely dominated by the kid. As a result, his date was completely turned off and basically disgusted by his "weak" behavior.

It was created in a time when women could not work out of the house or support themselves as easily as they can today. Unfortunately, our female dominated culture is in no rush to change anything.

You know what you need to do. There's no magic answer. If you want a guaranteed fuck, you'll need to hire an escort. That's the only sure way to get sex. The only other alternative would be to actually meet and build a relationship with someone. Unfortunately, for some people this is very difficult to do. If there is some other way to get sex, I'd love to hear it.

I have no desire for a relationship with a woman. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to go through life without dealing with them in some way. For those times, I look to TRP.

They're still together after about 40 years and still get along pretty well for the most part. However, my mom has zero hobbies and does nothing but watch TV all day. My Dad is extremely chill and as long as he gets to go fishing, watch football and drink his beers at night he's happy. I think the only reason it works is because they live in a big house with lots of space and do their own thing most of the time.

I don't know if being MGTOW is just built into me or what, but I just don't understand the appeal of dating, let alone pairing up with a significant other. Besides raising a family, why would anyone want to do this?? You're sacrificing your time, energy, focus, independence, sense of self - everything that I find valuable in my life. It's such a huge useless waste of time. Maybe it IS all about children. Since I don't have them or any desire to ever have them, being MGTOW comes naturally to me.

Exactly how I feel. Anytime I'm with a woman, I'm always thinking about a million other things I'd rather be doing. Outside of raising children, I honestly do not understand why anyone desires a relationship.

This is a fantastic analogy! I don't interact with many women on a personal level, but when I do, I definitely feel some "force" trying to pull me in, make me act different and start to lose my sense of self. And also, my ex wife was definitely a BPD black hole, crushing anything that came within her gravitational pull! Fuck that shit. Right now, I'm only interesting in PAYING to visit low to zero gravity planetoids.

This is the terrifying power that pussy has over men. We lose our minds, abandon our friends and sacrifice our own desires for some selfish bitch. I consider myself MGTOW right now and have zero interest in a relationship. However, I'm still terrified that I may succumb to a woman's "charms." I've felt it even in small interactions with them: I get nervous. I feel like I want to please them, like I want to say only what makes them happy. It's a terrifying force that I'm still trying to learn how…

Chicks are funny that way. If you don't succumb to their "charms", kiss their ass and treat them differently like other men do, they get pissed off and resort to insults very quickly. In fact, calling the guy "gay" is their most common go to insult.

Realize it'a going to take time to get over. It took me almost a year before I came to accept the "death" of my 8+ year relationship. You're going to be sad, you're going to be depressed. You just have to get through it. Unfortunately, there's really no way around that. Also, see a therapist or find someone you can talk to and share everything with. It helps immensely.

Way more free time! It's fantastic. My Band is coming together, work is great, I work out more, I go on vacations, hobbies are frequent and I visit prostitutes every few weeks. Why do I need a woman again?

When I'm alone, it's easy to keep this frame and realize that relationships are a pointless time suck and offer nothing but problems. However, whenever I interact with a female, it all goes out the window and I completely fall under their spell. It's terrifying how much power women can have over men. How do I prevent/reduce this?

I get this from my mom all the time. "I need to set you up with so and so", "did you meet any nice girls at the party?". Always prying and wondering why I'm not dating anyone. I don't think she could even comprehend that I simply DO NOT WANT TO. From her point of view, she got married, raised 2 kids, hasn't had to work in 20+ years, does nothing but wakes up at noon and watches TV all day, is completely supported by my dad and constantly bitches and complains that he never takes her out or does …

I feel the same as you. I'm recently divorced and looking forward to finishing up my Alimony in about 4 months. I've been separated for about a year now and have never been happier, more confident, in better shape, better at my hobbies and better at my job than at any previous point in my life. I have paid a few escorts for sex, but outside of that, I fail to see how any woman would make my life better.

I was married for 3 years. No kids or significant property. Ex wife stopped working and mooched off of me for the last year of the relationship. Before that, had very low level jobs. She contributed almost nothing to the relationship but bitching, complaining and controlling my time. I'm now paying her $1500 per month in spousal support. In my state, the support length is half the length of the marriage. I'll be done in April.

I'm recently divorced, but the dynamic you describe between you and your boyfriend sound exactly the same as what was happening with my ex wife. There were specific activities we would do together. Usually watching movies, going to the same bars and doing most of the same boring things. I enjoyed spending time with her, but it was very compartmentalized and required me to shut off and disregard any other desires I had to do other fun things with friends. I saw spending time with her as necessary…

I'm the same way. I'm in good shape, I work out and I'm pretty attractive. Unfortunately, I don't truly see myself that way so I never talk, I never flirt, I have no confidence and I prefer to be alone most of the time. Be strong. I was in a similar situation. The last few years of my relationship was ever worsening and more frequent fights. Each time I came crawling back for fear of losing what I was familiar with. I'm divorced for almost a year now. Hobbies, fitness, happiness, my job, relationships with friends - everything has improved. I feel like maintaining a relationship would be a needless drain on my time, money and emotional resources. Paying for escorts every few weeks satisfies any other needs I have.

I think that's still true to some degree, but not as much as much as I used to believe. I now believe that divorce is skewed in favor of children and the person who makes less money - which is usually the woman anyways.

I also think that part of the reason homes are so expensive here in America is because most buyers are dual income couples. Most of our economy seems to be designed around dual incomes.

My problem is that I don't know what my "goal" is. Sure, I could approach a woman, but then what? I still don't understand why I'm doing it. I guess sex, ultimately - but I can just pay escorts for that.

She's only 6 years older. You guys are practically the same age. I was married to a woman almost 20 years older than me. THAT's an age difference. In my experience, older women tend to like more submissive guys that they can control.

Look into a term called "love-shyness." There used to be a whole site dedicated to it, but it appears to be down right now. A Therapist doesn't have to be a last resort. I am exactly like this guy. No girlfriend at all until about 27. I ended up getting married to an extremely aggressive women 20 years older than me who made all the advances. This is likely the only type of women he could be with right now, as most "normal" women his own age prefer an assertive man who will pursue them. I would have NEVER done that myself and it sounds like he wouldn't either. It's just too difficult and anxiety provoking so we just …

That's probably true, but not the direct cause. He turns to fapping because interacting with actual women is too terrifying for him. I say this because this post really hits home for me in that I am exactly like this guy. I never even had a girlfriend until I was 27. I loved women, I wasn't gay, but I was terrified of actually interacting with them. Even if one of them flat out said, "I think you're hot, let's go out", I would have turned them down due to the fear. I didn't know how to interact.…

Having a family is a huge part of it. Without children to protect and raise, there's really not much of a reason for a long term monogamous relationship. I'm convinced that the vast majority of long term relationships exist for only this reason.
/r/seduction08/10/15 02:06 PM
2

And I assume that most of those people are constantly complaining about their wives /girlfriends? I've come to the conclusion that people who are in long term relationships are either: 1 - fundamentally different in that they need a close companion in life, whereas we just don't have that need. 2 - Are suffering just as much as we would be in a relationship, but just learn to deal with it. 3 - Are stuck with children and family obligations and have no way out. (Same as #2 really)

This is my problem as well. I find it very easy to just talk to them about non-sexual, comfortable subjects. But I have no idea how to take it anywhere else. I see many escorts though. With them, It's the opposite. I walk in, we both know why were there and sex ensues. I think the difference is that with Escorts, my own personality isn't really on display. I can hide it behind the money. I guess I'm scared of my own personality as it relates to sex.

You're already showing signs of neediness and I guarantee she's sensing it. In fact, all of your potential responses are very needy. Phrases like this: "She's perfect in literally every way" NO NO NO NO NO. Do not put her on a pedestal. She's no better than you. Treat her just like anyone else. It's going to be hard, but you need to approach this like you don't care what happens. Just do your own thing and let her come to you.

The worst thing I can think of happening is running out of things to say. And logically, that doesn't even seem that bad to me; I'm sure I could work through that. It's more like a big brick wall of unspecific dread in front of me wanting to meet women. It all comes back to confidence, I think.

This is kinda what I do too. I tend to connect really well with people when I can talk about fears, insecurities, anxieties, etc. Unfortunately, this does NOT make women want to fuck.

I've never been a confident guy. I've never been the type to take charge and lead. Doing so feels tremendously awkward and foreign to me. But I AM changing. Slowly but surely, I'm gaining the confidence required to know what I want, pursue it and reap the rewards it brings. Confidence in yourself is the single most important element to attracting women and having a satisfying life.

I'm the kind of guy that only knows how to communicate with people on a fairly deeper emotional level. As such, it's very difficult for me to establish superficial, sex-only relationships with women. I wish I could, and I'm envious of guys who can do it. As far as I can tell, the "right" way to do it is to be completely honest with what you're looking for. Unfortunately, this will alienate 90% of women you talk to. The trick is to imply the possibility of a committed relationship to get them to …

Good advice. Lots of girls do this. They flirt with almost every male and enjoy the attention. DO NOT play into it. Either attempt to escalate and pursue her as a romantic interest, or get the fuck away. Otherwise you'll get pulled in as one of her dozens of current friend zone orbiters, all tripping over eachother to do favors for her, give her things and put her on a pedestal hoping to be the one she "chooses" to be her boyfriend. And then, guess what? The one she does "choose" is the guy who …

Do you subconsciously feel more "comfortable" around older women? That's my issue. Around older women, I feel far less pressure to impress them, so I come off as more relaxed and friendly than I do with women my own age. Have at it. I've never been able to approach any women. Not because I'm scared of rejection, but because I'm scared of actually being liked. It's gotta be your "vibe". You can be handsome, strong, confident, attractive - but when it comes down to it, all people really feel is the overall vibe your putting off. Are you friendly? Open? Are you maybe too intense/serious? Unemotional? Ask some friends what type of vibe your putting off.
