This is a vast overgeneralisation and is not good advice. Don't bottle up your emotions

This is just not true. When you start to feel anxious you can absolutely choose how to frame it and how to act, which in turn either increases or decreases your anxiety. Emotions are controllable. You have agency.

Hey man! Thanks for the post, really appreciate it! I was wondering if you can elaborate a little bit further on the steps you take after meeting a girl. Let's say you do meet a cute girl at a party and you want it to become a fwb relationship. What do you actually do in that situation? Do you just talk and ask for her number and then a date? How do you show interest? I'm really happy for your progress but I could use some very specific advice aswell

Anyone who tells you that height does not matter is lying. A guy who is 6'5 is gonna have a way easier time in the dating market than a guy who is 5'4. HOWEVER, that does not matter at all if the tall guy is a smelly rude guy, while the 5'4 guy is a lovely confident dude. Some of the guys I've seen who have been the most succesfull with women are guys who just are really confident and love themselves for who they are, be it fat guys, short guys, guys with weird hobbies etc.

How the fuck do you balance not caring about the outcome and actually trying with approaching, flirting, getting their number and making an effort?

First year, but I've struggled with anxiety myself so I have a lot of knowledge in exposure therapy.

It's really fun, because you can be creative and make some of the most bizarre scenarios ever. There is this great ted talk with a guy who did exactly this. It's one my favorites. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vZXgApsPCQ

I think you just have to get out there and try. I found this sub when I was 13 and had crippling social anxiety. I started making it a game of high fiving atleast three strangers when I went out. It was horrible at first, but after a while I realise 1. People are not as scary as you think 2. You can do a lot of weird stuff and still be accepted. Just get out there:) EDIT: I'm actually gonna make some more suggestions. I'm a psy major who is really interested in social anxiety expusure therapy. I…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
