| -1 | Question about cardio and strength trainingI'm assuming you're doing full body workouts 3 days a week? If your goal is to build muscle mass then ditch the 3 days of cardio and do 5-6 days of lifting. Change the routine from what you're doing to a PPL which is 6 days a week or a 5 day split of something like chest/back/arms/legs/shoulders. Start eating more than you already do, trust me diet is more important to progressing in the gym. Eat big lift big, get enough sleep and focus on yourself. | 1 | 9-to-5 job + university?Note that summer courses tend to be much more expensive. My summer courses were almost 3x the amount per credit than fall/spring courses. | /r/askTRP | 25/08/17 05:59 PM |
| 2 | How to make the most out of my personal training? You're thinking too much about it. After your first couple of sessions if you really enjoy it you'll end up watching videos on how and what to do and when to do it. If the trainer is reputable then listen to what he says but if it's just some scrub then you're going to need to research some stuff on your own. I'm just saying don't automatically assume everything he shows and tells you is what you're supposed to do, because it won't be. | 1 | What other reasons you have for lifting? At first I did it to impress girls. Now I do it to impress myself. You should lift to get a better body for you, if women end up going crazy over your body then it's a bonus. If you truly enjoy lifting then you'll find the time to do it even if you're crazy busy. If it feels like a chore then you might as well stop because you're wasting time. | /r/askTRP | 11/08/17 12:09 PM |
| 1 | I'm trying and trying but can't get my discipline in check.Man you must be super skinny, what kind of things do you eat? You can look into some cheap high calorie foods like rice, granola, eggs, dairy etc to help gain some weight. If you have the money I would recommended buying your meats in bulk because it'll be cheaper in the long run. You can also look into instant pats on bodybuilding or supplement sites, super cheap and a good source of carbs/cals. Try your best to get plenty of sleep every night too, most people don't think it plays a big role in… | /r/askTRP | 07/08/17 10:53 PM |
