You really do look like a sex offender with that mustache. There's be no shame in ending your Movember a little early. This is your life we're talking about.

I like Nietzsche, but when most people think of him they just think nihilists and Nazis.

You can't strip back superstition from prayer. That doesn't make any sense. Prayer is about psychically communicating with fictional entities. When you get rid of the superstitious parts, the psychic communication and the fictional entities, you don't get meditation - you get nothing.

Yeah, take that, straw conservatives!

prayer isn't superstition? Placebos have provable benefits too, but you still call them sugar pills.

If you stripped back all the superstition, how is prayer still left? But, again, strip back to when? When was the kind of spirituality you're talking about ever practiced?

About Fun and excitement I'm not sex positive, nor sex negative. I am a sex optimism feminist. ? Maybe her boyfriend dumped her cause she's a crazy bitch. That would definitely sync up with the whole Harley Quinn thing.

"strip it back" implies that there was a time when it really was just about meditation, and not superstition. When was that? Who was the person that laid out the basic goals of spirituality as you're describing them?

Spirituality doesn't have "basics." It's a nebulous concept that's been used to mean sorts of different things. If you asked a Christian what spiritually is when it's stripped back to its basics, they'd tell you it's about being closer to God and accepting Christ as your savior. You're talking about meditation, so I assume you're talking about the Buddhist concept of spirituality. But when you go back to the oldest Buddhist teachings, you don't see "meditation has some provable benefits." You st…

Science has found some vague benefits to meditation. Whatever it ends up actually proving, it won't be called "spirituality"; it will be called physical reality.

Sorry, but science is going to leave the bloodied corpse of spirituality in its wake and you can't do anything to stop it.

It implies that advice like "be sensitive to women who are unsure whether they want to have sex" should be given to only men.

“They think we’re the weakest … I’m the one black guy. Do you realize how precarious that makes my situation?” T-Dog says. Dale argues with him, telling him he’s ridiculous for thinking that he’s going to be the first one to get lynched. But T-Dog points out that even Andrea, who everyone knows is still suicidal, is out there. T-Dog is making sense, and perhaps the writers want to acknowledge his real fears of being the lone black person left in the group (perhaps even acknowledging what Trekkie…

If women couldn't vote, their husbands' would be worth twice as much, so they'd have even more reason to care about how he votes. Mathematically, universal suffrage saved 1 man from being run over this election.

and, of course, the first comment: Sounds like men everywhere, they see being a woman as worse than death. Yeah, just ignore the part about women refusing to marry men who cook and rework this to fit the usual narrative.

I'm pretty sure "infer" has a history of being used in place of "imply." It's only "imply" that can only ever mean "imply."

Link is supposed to represent the player - that's why they let you name him - so, in a way, making him the same gender as the player make sense. Is there actually a reason Chell is female? I thought they just said "well, we've already got a male protagonist in Half Life, let's try something different."

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
