What numbers are you working off of?

Is it true that women are less likely to get attached to men they spend time with, cuddle with, sleepy with etc? Depends on the woman. It always seems like women are cold hearted and just use these men for their body, time, money and emotional support That’s sad. I'm genuinely asking - are women the more cold hearted gender? Neither gender is “more” cold hearted. People are individuals

I really wasn’t trying to argue with you in my last few comments. I was just acknowledging that we’ve had different experiences, and while neither one of us will be able to change the others mind, I can still wish you the best

I guess I’m just an optimist, but I truly do think there’s somewhere out there for everyone. Call me dumb for always having hope if you want, but I don’t see the point in being pessimistic/doomer-y all the time. Obviously we have different life experiences. I haven’t gone through what you have, so the idea of having hope probably seems dumb to you, but it is what it is I guess. Hope you find peace in life.

I asked every girl I knew over the years, hundreds in person, and tens of thousands online. Asked them on a date or to be friends? If it’s on a date, that kinda signals desperation and/or a lack of standards. Sorry to say. Youre super kind to chat with me, and I'm sorry for arguing so much. It’s all good. I enjoy hearing different perspectives. If you ever want to get something else off your chest just let me know. I’ll listen, but expect some pushback if I don’t agree. Cheers
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 10:10 PM

I didn't wish them any harm for the first 32 years of my lifeand that wasn't good enough. And now you’re torpedoing your chances even more by spewing that vile shit you said earlier. How are you even meeting these 40,000 women you asked out? Online? It must be because I don’t even think I’ve met 40,000 people in general. I can guarantee you you’re not treating them as people, instead they’re just a number
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 10:00 PM

Listen dude, I’m not doubting most of that shit happened to you. I’m sorry you went though that. But none of the stuff you said in your second paragraph is true. Don’t you remember my original comment on this thread was talking about how I’m short and habe never had issues dating? I’m not tall or a criminal, so I’m disproving you right there. But hate is not the answer man. It’ll tear you up. You’re not going to get any empathy from people you actively wish harm towards. Why would they give you …
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 09:43 PM

I try very hard not to be nice. I've learned the hard way how much women hate nice guys. Dude, you’re still on the “nice guy” shit, what is this, 2016? Why should someone you actively wish death upon show you empathy? Please give me one reason.
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 09:29 PM
1

Dude, you can’t say you’re a nice person while also saying every women deserves to be beaten to death. Is it really that hard to grasp?
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 08:59 PM
1

if you knew a woman capable of kindness I'm happy to give you the chance. they can message me anytime. Given what you’ve said about women, I would not want any of my acquaintances talking to you. The fact that you even think those things means that you are a deeply disturbed individual. I would fear for their safety if I’m being honest.
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 08:54 PM
1

I’m sorry, but it’s hilarious that you say this Please don't argue when you have no proof for anything you say. Right after you say this again, its not my fault every girl you know refuses to treat me as human The irony is palpable. Dude, you don’t have any proof either. You don’t know me or any of the women I know. Also, you ever think just…being a normal dude might make women stop actively avoiding you? Why would someone want to talk to you if you say that all women deserve to be beaten?
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 08:36 PM
1

If it's a generalization then why have the 40000 I asked so far refuse to even interact with me? Think it like this: If someone sent in 40,000 job applications in a short period of time, there’s no way in hell they personalized their cover letter and resume for the specific job. Did you even really get to know these women before “asking them out”? Or was it “nice to meet you, wanna go out?” Why has everyone I've ever know not know one girl willing to just talk to me? You’ve never talked to a wom…

Dude, you definitely have some stuff to unpack if you’re making such gross generalizations of women. You can’t say that these things are “facts” just because of your warped perception
/r/AllPillDebate01/08/23 06:57 PM

You’re countering my anecdote with your own. So we’re getting nowhere. In my experience, women absolutely see short men as people. It’s borderline crazy to say otherwise.

Oh yeah I know, I was just poking fun at how I seem to be in the minority of guys on this subreddit 🤣

Maybe not in your social circles, but women most definitely do romantic gestures on a regular basis.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 11:45 PM

Like do they live in hell or something I guess so. I actually feel kinda bad, but I don’t think there’s anything I could do to help out. Do it! It’s askmen, not askstraightmen. But eh, it was just a hypothetical.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 11:26 PM

Women definitely do those kind of things. I can attest to that. But also…gay men exist. They could be posting on ask men as well
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 11:22 PM

If you really can’t connect the dots, I can’t help you. If you’re not attracted to the person you’re married to, get a divorce.

TwoX has 13.6 million subscribers. 7.5K is .05% of the subreddit. 7.5K upvoted it, but how many viewed it? And if you try to say the 13.6 million subscriber number isn’t accurate or isn’t the number of active users…okay. You don’t know the true number either so you can’t say it’s a common thought. Also there’s no way to tell how many upvotes can from non-subscribers
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 09:48 PM

Okay and?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 09:30 PM

There’s been plenty of times where my gf REALLY wants to have sex, but I end up saying no because I’m tired, stressed, or otherwise not feeling it. I guess I’m the weird one lmao

Why? Honestly I don’t get the joke. What’s funny about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 08:57 PM

There’s more than one way to participate, you know that right? You’re free to post there in good faith. And besides, your screenshot is of a single post made by a regular user of the sub. They’re not a mod, and there’s no rules against “no men”. It’s a single person venting (much like you are right now)

I feel like a lot of things in those fields seem like bullshit because we’re simply lacking the nuance. You can read an isolated piece of feminist theory and scoff at it, but there’s most definitely a lot of context missing.

Sooo…you weren’t really specific at all. You just gave me the elevator pitch. What policies made the birth rates in korea and Japan crumble? It sure as hell wasn’t feminism. The birth rate in Japan in started to fall around 1980. You can’t really blame contraceptives for that though, since the birth control pill wasn’t legalized there until 1999

I come from a more hard science (biochem) background, so I inherently take sociology/psychology papers with a pretty big grain of salt 😅 I’m afraid I can’t help you find any other papers. But really my biggest gripe with that first paper is the sample selection. If it was a simple random sample I’d trust it a whole lot more. But I feel like the sample was biased from the get go. In my original comment I said Required on average at least a 3.72 cm height difference So I’m unsure why you think I missed that? We agree that 3.72 was the minimum acceptable height difference. And same with the 9.7, we’re saying the same thing. I’ve read through the whole paper, and some of the stats still rub me the wrong way. The adjusted R2 for figure 3 is only .134, which is…not great. And the subjective measurement of “satisfaction” anchored at 50 for a cohort of ~200 doesn’t have that mu…

Some observations/corrections about your conclusions: Paper 1: Shows that *White, Dutch undergraduates required on average at least a 3.72 cm (+ / - 5.54 cm) height difference. Additionally, the average difference between their minimally accepted height preferred partner height was 9.7 (+ / - 4.48) cm, so I’m unsure where you’re getting your numbers from. Paper 4: This is a study of speed daters lmao. Anyway, it also reports a average minimum height diff of 8.3 cm (~3 inches) for women. This stu…

BUT in order to learn to seduce women you have to interact with them beyond sending dms and cold aproaching You mean like…being friends with them? You don’t need to be attractive to have friends

I’ve always had a feeling that it can be partially chalked up to selection bias. Online, it might seem like there’s a lot of dudes that have these issues, but these communities (things like TRP, here, etc) are still a very, very small portion of the population. These communities aren’t really representative of real life at all. Also, the ones that don’t have any issues dating aren’t likely to post about it online. I could make the same argument about the people you know irl, but I don’t think it…

I guess I’m in the minority then. I’m on the shorter side and I’ve never felt once that my height was holding me back. Also, your conversation seemed to completely omit the personality aspect. Maybe the shorter doctor really is annoying and arrogant?

Just the fact that you were able to succeed means that you had enough willpower/determination/discipline/whatever you want to call it to succeed. What I’m saying is that not everyone has that.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:03 PM
1

What I’ve been trying to say is that not everyone is a machine that can “just do it”. We don’t know their full situation. Saying “it’s easy, just CICO” is like saying “winning a gold at the Olympics is easy, just run fast.” I really appreciate the optimism and faith you have in people, but not everyone has the mental strength or willpower that you have. That’s why I’ve been stressing empathy and the importance of a support system.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:26 PM

If you want to I guess. Tbh this is kinda a weird thing to ask internet strangers about. If you want to, then go for it

Uhh…does she want to sleep with you? Or are you just assuming that she will?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:18 PM
1

I never said stating facts and offering solutions is judging them. I said I’m not judging them if they can’t do it own their own. That’s why I brought up the doctors. Having a support system can make a world of difference for some people. The fact that some people can make big changes with diet tracking and apps is great! But not everyone can.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:17 PM
1

Hey, that’s their problem then ¯_(ツ)_/¯ You can lead a horse to water, I guess. I wouldn’t get worked up about it
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:04 PM
1

Like I’ve been saying, none of this is in a vacuum. Sure it all boils down to CICO, but we don’t know anything about someone’s circumstances. That’s why I give people some slack
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:00 PM
1

Yes, I agree that the cycle needs to be broken somehow. But I’m not one to judge them if they can’t. I don’t know their full situation/if they have a support system in place. Ideally they’d have a team of doctors and nutritionists helping them out, but sadly most people don’t have that.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:52 PM
1

I’ll agree with your first point for sure, but not even one is savvy enough to realize stuff like that. It’d be great if everyone had the resources and/or a nutritionist to help them out, but sadly that’s not how it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:49 PM
1

Listen, I agree that in an ideal world it should be that easy. But as I’ve said before, life is more complicated than just “calories in, calories out”. I don’t know their full life situation, so there’s no point making value judgments about them. Even then, it’s their life, why should I care?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:48 PM
1

I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that. I’ve never considered myself super masculine and I’ve never had any trouble in life. But that’s just my experience
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:45 PM
1

What does that mean? I’ve been in a happy relationship for just over 5 years now, and it’s a blessing that I get to be my genuine self
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:43 PM
1

It’s all interconnected though. Like I said, we can’t know the full picture of someone’s situation. If we’re taking in a vacuum, I 100% agree with you. But the original comment chain was about chronically ill people. Maybe someone is movement impaired or somehow otherwise disabled in a way that makes standing (or cooking) for a long period of time not feasible. I just like to give people the benefit of the doubt because I don’t know their full situation
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:43 PM
1

Your view is totally fair too. I guess that’s just where we differ ¯_(ツ)_/¯
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:40 PM
1

I’d rather be alone. Being in a relationship where I can’t be genuine sounds like hell
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:38 PM
1

I guess we feel different ways about life then. I absolutely love the feeling of things like exercise. I’m not talking about seeing the results. The actual effort and action of it feels good to me
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:35 PM
1

Really? Are we living in different realities? Junk food is most definitely cheaper than healthy food. Are you not from the US? I could go to the store with $10 and either buy a couple vegetables and 1lb of protein, or 5 sodium filled, unhealthy, calorie dense frozen meals.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:34 PM
1

Because it feels good to improve yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:30 PM
1

Okay fine, semantics I guess, but that’s beside the point. We agree that a lot of chronic illnesses contribute to weight gain. I.e. being immobile can make it harder to get exercise
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:29 PM
1

That’s definitely true, but then you get into things like economic factors, since it can be hard to eat healthy if you’re on a fixed income and/or in a “food desert”. So I just try to not judge people based on their weight, since I don’t know their circumstances
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:26 PM
1

I mean…isn’t it possible that their chronic illnesses caused them to gain weight? It’s a chicken or the egg kinda thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:21 PM
1

That’s what happens when terminally online dudes use niche corners of the internet to shape their worldview
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:20 PM

Imma be real with you chief, I have no idea who that is. But you keep saying things like Yes you’re correct that certain people can have different tastes but they doesn’t dispute the conventions in human that exist. Which means you agree with me. Attractiveness is subjective. I don’t know what point you’re trying to argue, but that doesn’t change the fact that because of the subjectivity, you can’t objectively rate someone. You can maybe get a decent guess or estimation, but it will still vary f…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 11:43 PM

So you’re basically saying if you use hyperbole and then throw out the subjectivity, your argument is valid?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 11:34 PM

C’mon dude. You’re just saying “attractiveness is subjective but actually it’s not” There’s no algorithm you can plug a picture into a get a definitive “rating” from. Everyone has preferences
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 11:27 PM

I just feel like that’s a weird concept though? Attractiveness is subjective obviously. But I feel like it’s hard to accurately rate yourself. You could consider yourself a 9, which is fine, you’re totally free to do that. But is that really an unbiased rating? On the flip side, you could totally overcompensate and rate yourself a 2. Is it really that hard to just say “I want to date someone that I find cute”?

What makes you say that?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 08:19 PM

I get what you’re trying to say, but I still don’t see how saying It isn’t incorrectly to say that women as a whole are more emotional than men. You literally used the words “as a whole”. And your duck analogy. You can’t directly draw parallels between a physical trait and a mental one. If you used the same wording as your first statement and said “Male ducks as a whole are larger than female ducks” You’d literally be contradicting your final sentence

You proved my point though? I never said humans were infallible logic machines. I said you can’t generalize if someone’s “emotion-driven” or “logic-driven” based on their sex. We’re all a mix
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 08:01 PM

I don’t see how that’s entirely relevant? So you’re saying that humans are no different than other mammals like apes or lions? That we have no higher-order reasoning and are entirely driven by our instincts?

Morals are still based on emotion. They’re based on a subjective “what’s right” and “what’s wrong”. So I don’t entirely agree, but I see where you’re coming from

If I’ve learned anything from my (currently in progress) PhD, is that the best way to write it to just write. It’s going to horrible the first time. The formatting might not make sense, but that’s what editing is for. I’ve been in your position, and it’s really hard to “just write”, but it gets a lot easier the more you do it
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:53 PM

…? Isn’t common sense primarily borne out of logic, not emotion? It’s pretty logical to think that women and men typically think in the same way, since we’re the same species…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:48 PM
1

That would be pretty strange.

You may be able to draw some weak trends between the sexes and emotional/logical thinking, but I still don’t 100% agree with the premise. Everyone is a mix. Operating on “pure logic” is shorthand for being a sociopath. Being completely void of empathy and emotion is very alarming. Being completely void of logic? I can’t say I’ve heard of that happening
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:46 PM

I’m assuming it’s for your thesis then? It’s still a decent chunk of writing. I could probably churn out 1000 words in a typical workday (~8 hours). It’d still need to be edited, but having 1000 shitty words is still better than having an empty page
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:43 PM

If you’d talk to women you’d know?? It’s also just like…common sense
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:40 PM
1

Well yeah, that’s just common sense. Do people really push back on that opinion?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:36 PM

Depends how much writing you’ve done in the past/what level you’re writing at. College student? That’s a decent chunk Grad student? Typical day
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:35 PM

Ayy have fun! Sounds like a great time
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:32 PM

Bruh? Women are people too (shocking, I know), and they think the same way as is. They’re not “creatures of emotion”.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:32 PM

Women don’t talk about their body count because our society has deep rooted ties to misogyny that we’re (thankfully) starting to get over. Why is a man with a high body count seen as a player or stud, while a woman is a slut?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 06:31 PM

The consequences being what? I really don’t see any. The only “consequence” I see are dudes online shaming them. Which they could just…stop doing? It wouldn’t be a consequence if people stopped being dicks.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 06:14 PM
1

Maybe direct some of that shaming at shameful behavior I…have been? That’s what I’ve been doing this entire time
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 06:07 PM

Which one do you want to marry? As I said earlier, sexual past is not a factor to me. So I guess that means both of them? Or whichever one I meet first? Human beings are complex, and I don’t really feel like these weird reductionist hypotheticals are useful. It matters because because past performance is an indicator of future behavior. I don’t necessarily believe that. People change all the time. And besides, you don’t know the full story. If a woman had a lot of sexual partners when she was si…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 06:01 PM

Because my partner’s sexual past really doesn’t matter to me. Imagine the hypothetical: if you really hit it off with someone and you both fell madly in love with each other, why would it matter? If your opinion on them changes after you learn their sexual past, I think that says something more about you.

You do know the word “irrational” applies to both “fear” and “aversion”, right? Reading isn’t that difficult. Not wanting to date a “slut” is definitely an irrational aversion.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 05:28 PM
2

Using definitions = playing with words. Okay. But seriously though, fear and aversion are synonymous
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 05:19 PM
1

I’m using the definition. I’m not painting it as anything
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 05:04 PM
2

It’s pretty easy to look up the definition of phobia, I can even do it for you “an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.” People always seems to leave out that second part. Wonder why 🤔

Well since you seem to be familiar with those studies, send them my way. If I go off on my own and try to find them, I might end up misguided and eventually come to the wrong conclusions. You don’t want that to happen, do you?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:53 PM
1

Bingo
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:51 PM
1

Again, I don’t know what you mean by “won”. Won what?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:51 PM
2

“Win”? Everyone has problems dude
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:46 PM

Damn we’re jumping head first into all of the -phobias. If you’re the one mentioning studies, you should be the one providing them. I’d love to look them over
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:38 PM

Bruh. Comparing women to Nazis is not a good look.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:21 PM
4

Right?? Like I couldn’t imagine myself not in a committed, long term relationship. The connection is just unmatched.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:20 PM
2

That’s…strange. I wonder why. Do they think the same about high status men? Or do they find high status women annoying because they’re women and they don’t like women having power 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:16 PM
2

Nope. People who are annoying/entitled are annoying/entitled. I don’t things status has anything to do with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:11 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
