I think a useful reframe of this would be to think of the ‘women having casual sex with hot men’ scenario as them settling for something much moreso than when they’re in a long term relationship. It’s much easier to settle for something that only checks a few boxes in the short term (hot, but useless relationship wise) vs settling when you want to invest in building something together and are also going to essentially be stuck with the person you pick for a large chunk of your life if all goes w…

A guy got a payday advance loan so he could take me out to a fancy dinner because ‘I deserved it’ when I said I was more than happy to pay for myself. This was foolish and showed me he was fiscally irresponsible and also that he was more concerned with the perception of him being ‘a guy who can treat a girl to extravagant things’ than he was with operating in reality. There was another guy I dated who lived an hour away from me and would often drive to pick me up, despite me offering to meet hal…

The fact that you don’t see anything wrong with what you said is definitely suboptimal. You just said that unless they’re blowing you or it’s leading to that you see the interactions as worthless, so you’re NOT both gaining pleasure from the interaction unless it happens to be going that way. Since 99% of day to day interactions with other humans don’t result in getting blown, it’s an issue to be angry at half the population about it.

I would strongly disagree that you’re “not redpill anymore”. In other comments you’ve stated you don’t react the same way to men, and that the only reason you’d react that was was if you were interested in men sexually. Your sexual interest in women has been warped so that all you’re willing to view them as are dispensers of sex/bjs. You get annoyed when you have to engage with women in non sexual ways and feel like it’s a waste of your time and energy to engage if there’s no potential for sex a…

This is a super illustrative example of how nonsense the redpill/incel advice sphere is. Women aren’t raccoons. If you leave a plate of “tall dude with money” out on your porch they’re not going to come scavenging. You need to structure your life more towards being social and meeting new people, and maintaining good friendships and relationships. If you’re not currently meeting women around you in your day to day life how would they find you in the first place? Find some interest/activity groups…

As an autistic person who was a fucking moron at social interaction as a teenager and who’s generally considered charismatic and charming now, you’re sorely incorrect.

Ah yes, the ‘comforting lie’ that building better social skills will make it easier to engage with women.

That’s the problem. Go on various gender specific subreddits and either read about this subject or ask whether people believe that.

Women don't want to be chosen for their "personality" dude, in the same manner a guy wouldn't want that. Your friends choose you for your personality, YOUR partner is supposed to be attracted to YOU. And it genuinely hurts when they aren't. Oh my god. I so want to believe you’re a troll. If you’re not, you need to do some serious introspection and reevaluate what you believe about how people function. This is absolutely not the norm and will hinder you in myriad ways if you continue to operate a…

This. I’m a feminist, and consider myself distinct from the more fringe feminist groups like radfems, or FDS (honestly wouldn’t consider them feminist at all). In this same vein, I try to assume that not every man in these subs is an incel or MRA. And maybe some things have changed over the years, but for a decent chunk of time MGTOW/MRA content was very anti-woman leaning. Super welcome to hear any info about them becoming more mens-growth focused rather than vitriolic! I think it’s equally imp…

I expect the downvotes when I post an opinion like that here but yeah, I’m definitely thankful I didn’t get banned for it. I agree that being open to opposing views is super important and why I’m subbed here in the first place.

I’m gonna be honest, I’m not a part of that sub so I can’t fully speak on it, but they do have “the raddest feminist club on Reddit!” which again puts them on the extreme edge of feminism. And I’m glad. Literally none of the women in my circles want men dead and would vehemently disagree with that stance on male rape victims. When I see comments like the one I replied to I feel like I need to throw some evidence to the contrary out there for people to help them not fully abandon hope.

Things can trend with as few as 1000 (maybe less?) posts. If we’re basing all of feminisms beliefs on what trends on Twitter, then should I assume all men’s rights beliefs follow the same rule? Because there’ve been a lot of extreme tags that have trended on that side as well.

No, that’s folded into the more fringe feminist beliefs and many mainstream feminists wrote critiques of it.

Is this truly what you think most feminists believe? Radical feminism like that hasn’t been prominent since the 70’s. Women who believe things like that are the female version of incels and are largely regarded as such by the larger feminist community. There ARE a ton of ways that modern society prioritizes women over men, so I often agree with the points made here (like the case in the OP for example), but this comment is just stoking the fires of anger with largely no basis.

Nailed it.

This. I’m 35 and just last night I had someone mistake me for being 20 something. This is a regular thing for me. Besides some pandemic weight I look the best I ever have as I’ve finally nailed down a skin and haircare routine that works with my natural self rather than trying to do battle on both those fields. Don’t get me wrong, I cleaned up nice when I’d get dolled up, but nowadays I look great not dolled up and it’s just a bonus when I’m dressed to the nines. This is the opposite of the narr…
