I notice people who stereo any large group of people based on anecdotal experience are the worst kind of people to date or be around.. For a while, people use to say the N word on a large group of people based on skin color, then it was about sexuality and now OP I guess is saying shit about kids raised by single moms..

Something I learnt along the way.. A lot of women will lie to protect their ego than be honest and since most women get it, they will continue to support the bs. Men are actually more honest than women.. A lot of society is scared to call bullshit on women

News Flash OP: Women need men and men need women. Period. We are all social beings, so we all need each other. Yes. We are in a major transformation as a humanity and the sooner everyone agrees and figures out next steps, the faster this will be over and we all find a new normal. Thanks for listening

Most men do not care about a woman's professional achievements. Have you ever heard dudes say: "I just met an awesome phD!" You personally don’t care about successful women. Don’t put your words into all men. But most men do not care about that. Femininity, loyalty, inspiration and co-operation are the vital qualities most guys look for. You care about all these traits, but not intelligence. But you assume all men want what you want. Nothing worse than an insufferable "empowered" woman no matter…

Sorry to burst your bubble dude, but an intelligent woman is a huge turn on for me. Heck yea, I’ll loudly claim, I met an awesome phd girl if that happens. Hell I’ll brag about dating any smart woman. Attractiveness is more than a giant pair of tits or ass and if a girl can’t hold an intelligent conversation, I’m turned off no matter how she is in the looks department.

Short answer: We will die as a species within a few generations if that somehow continues. I’m surprised to see no one questioned the basic premise. Please post this to anthropology subreddit as they can explain better. Think about how and why males and females are born at roughly an equal rate

Sure it is easy to dismiss.. My buddy works for a top company full-time, has two kids as a primary parent (65%). So SAHP can’t do half? We both have houses. And here’s my take

Yea it is. If someone wants to imagine a spotless world for instagram live video, sure it’s not. But I doubt anyone is actually doing that.. Now that I’m a single dad and I have my kid half the time and also work full-time at home, I can clearly disagree. Not that it’s not work, but let’s not bullshit. I clean the dishes, kitchen and cook in the evening. Again before noon, I cook. I spend time between work with my kid. All the while working full time. Once a week, I get to laundry and cleaning t…

You might as well be my ex-wife. Not saying your ex wasn’t the issue in your case. But the parallels are uncanny. We are great friends now and focus on co-parenting our kid l, but we also had similar unnecessary wasted finances (I didn’t want that). I care more about my kid than unfairness and let bygones be bygones and focus on future. I followed the rules my ex created after marriage: I work outside, provide for us, take care of finances while she takes care of stuff in the house like cooking,…

As long as you continue to argue that that abortions need to be banned without any other changes, then you just a dude with dumb opinions is. If and only if, men are also held accountable in the same law that ban abortions, else all men need to shut up. And the solutions you have are just as idiotic as your opinions online I’m sure. So no one needs your stupid charity.

Like how you are being an idiot with no real solutions? Texas, South Dakota currently have laws that say, abortion is illegal even if a woman was raped. https://www.texastribune.org/2022/06/24/texas-abortion-law-answers/amp/ And here is Noem, the governor of SD saying, one tragedy (rape) should not cause another (abortion). https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/kristi-noem-south-dakota-abortion-trigger-law-no-exception-for-rape-incest

Nobody actually wants abortion to happen. Least of all women who face the burden. But just banning abortion without healthcare, childcare, education costs, or holding men accountable is just controlling women.. So until these changes have actually been enacted, abortion is the only practical solution. One side is fighting for all these changes while the other side just wants to ban abortion with no fixes anywhere else. Quite a few states now have laws banning abortion even for rape and incest. T…

So you know a handful of women who get pregnant easily and think 159 million women should abide by your seething rage and rules. Since you are all about accountability and we are banning abortions against the women’s will, let’s also hold men accountable. And don’t say just child support. A kid needs more than child support from a father. If a guy gets a girl pregnant, he should be forced to raise the kid by having them 50% of the time along with child support or goto jail for 18 years. Or be fo…

That’s anecdotal evidence, and not the whole country. Maybe ban anyone who tries abortion for the 4th time. Pregnancy can happen easily even with all the protection sometimes. There is accountability already with 20 weeks etc. Ask any women about the different scenarios pregnancy can be dangerous to them. So, you as a guy want to ban abortions and endanger lives of women while you have nothing to do on pregnancy. And you and your party want no regulation, except when you feel like it.

In simple terms, a small portion of the country (religious fascists) who don’t understand how women’s bodies work, all the complications that can come with pregnancy, diseases and scenarios such as rape, but are in power, think that an embryo has the same right as a human being because it feels nice to say that and feel morally superior. They don’t care about actual normal families or single moms raising a baby, fixing healthcare costs, education costs, day-care costs as it’s not their problem a…

I disagree that me too was a shit movement completely even if there was some bs in there. In the stem fields I agree there is no major disparity and I work in that field so I know. Of course there are some inequalities that women have to bear the burden of child birth, few assholes being sexually predatory as I have seen some examples myself. The article seems to be specifically arguing about stem. What about other fields?

I completely agree with you on this. It’s a false narrative that women are not being given opportunities. It’s a question of averages. Of course some women are brilliant in math and the laws take care of that. Which is my point about some people abusing the issue. In this specific case, I almost can’t care about it as government representation is different from engineering or scientific fields and can use more female representation.

I’m not against fighting for issues that men face that nobody seems to acknowledge. But we need to separate the arguments

Ok. The brains are different. How will you solve misogyny and men in power who do abuse it against women? We know it exists even now thanks to me too etc. Let the system resolve itself? Maybe this is one way..
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/12/20 07:11 AM
2

But the same opportunities are not available everyone. How do we reconcile with that issue? Should we also get rid of schemes for poverty too? If you say, let’s just keep poverty schemes alone, then how do you resolve systemic issues in society due to racism or gender? Is your point that there is no misogyny or racism in society?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/12/20 07:09 AM

The reason affirmative action in principle is useful is because we want to give everyone a fair chance. Non-white, non-male people do not have the same opportunities even if we don’t see it

What about affirmative actions for blacks? You disagree with that too?

I see it as, It’s not men vs women but people in power vs those not in power. You agree men, especially those in power are doing a horrible job. I am assuming some of the women are not good and some are, but don’t have the right connections. So I am fine with some unqualified women getting in there if a few good women also get in coz of affirmative action. It’s a PR job. I don’t see the harm in trying something different. Maybe we will learn something out of it as a society. Lastly, I do get you…

My other point would be that we know a lot of high profile jobs are really not hard and need connections to get there. Let’s mix it up and give females a chance too. Maybe they will mess up but it’s not like males have been doing a phenomenal job. FYI. I’m a a guy..
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/12/20 06:29 AM

My theory right now is, why the hell not? Let’s try more female representation in government and see what happens. If they so a decent job and not great, we know it’s fine. .At the very least, we know they are half the population. So what’s wrong with taking a different approach for once?

Help me understand. Should a girl never be sexual and find out what she likes? She was apparently celibate for 1.5 years after divorce and then started trying to date and meeting guys. That doesn’t sound bad? It’s been 3+ for her since her divorce and she’s trying to find a guy to settle with. I guess she did meet with some good looking guys and her expectations are higher. Not wrong, but expecting everything in one guy is where I say it’s wrong. Its like men asking that a woman to look like a s…

Why do you think? I’m fine with female sexuality and if they are interested in me, I have nothing against it. A freaky girl in bed is awesome. It’s not like women haven’t been doing it under the radar before when it was taboo. It’s just becoming more open now.

I did want to date a nice woman with some stability. Coz I m tired of casual sex relationships. (I’m 42) I found a girl in her late 30s recently and we connected a lot emotionally and for the first time since my divorce, I actually liked someone. She’s funny, hot, successful in her own way so it was refreshing to see. I’m not the jealous type and she confided about her crazy post-divorce phase and I applauded her for it. I did too albeit for a shorter time as a guy. (Not as easy) We finally met …

We have been here for a while. If you are proposing that women go back to traditional roles in the kitchen and bedroom, you need to ask their opinions unless you are suggesting we ignore that.

Traditional roles made sense long long back. Not anymore. Evolution vs technology. We are in a different society than what existed 1000 years back. Traditional roles don’t make any sense the same way horse chariot doesn’t make any sense when you have cars. We have evolved. During WW2 when we asked women to work, with white collar jobs both men and women are capable equally. Traditional roles no longer apply. We as humans have moved on. We can’t undo 1000 years of history and evolution. Either ac…

Lunch time, bath-room breaks are biology too. We only allow time-offs for what men need. Imagine if we said only white people can take bathroom breaks because the people writing the law are white. (Pick a color, you get my point). Women need that time-off and we all know it. When I became a dad, that’s when I learnt how bad it is. One girl commented that imagine if you have to take your toilet paper into work. That’s what tampons are. We don’t expect TP to not be provided at your work-place. Why…

If you read through my history, you will see I haven’t had it easy either as a divorced single dad. And yes of late, men need some help too as it is slowly becoming more imbalanced. But women still have it pretty bad. We can’t fix biological issues besides serious policy changes so that it is a level playing field. What both sexes (similar to politics) need is empathy to find the middle ground. And yes powerful men have been an issue throughout history.

The pregnancy, period issues are something we don’t deal with. We just learn as we grow up and never think about it. I’m pretty sure if men have periods we would have had an international law giving us all time-off for the whole time. I’m sure we will all vote for it in a heart-beat.

No one is forcing a guy with no job to be with a girl either. What’s the argument? If a girl doesn’t want to be with you because you can’t make a living, then why are you asking her to be with someone with no job or money?🤷🏽 “I'm saying that men who do have good jobs are wasting it if they use it to indulge the narcisstic mental illness of their female class cohorts, because in the end they're demanding something (that men be the higher earner, a traditional provider role) that is inconsistent w…

Men do face injustice and I do know that and can attest to it. Whether it’s with dating, women‘s power in controlling sex, divorce laws discriminating against men and minor stuff like you pointed out about dating etc etc. I am only arguing that women have it worse so we see this problem. It has been a learning experience for me. FYI. I am a guy, so I have been a victim in my own ways.

“What about tampons” Tampons are more expensive than TP “What about suits that guys have to sweat through” We don’t need suits. If women shouldn’t dress up, why so we need suits? “No one forces you to have a kid. If it's not worth it, don't have one🤷‍♂️” No one is forcing a guy with no job to be with a girl either. What’s the argument? If a girl doesn’t want to be with you because you can’t make a living, then why are you asking her to be with someone with no job or money?🤷🏽

Lets go with your argument. Let’s ignore all beauty products and birth control. We just enforce condoms only. Or no sex for women or men until they marry and want a kid. What about tampons, bras, pregnancy (maternity leave is not guaranteed in all work places)?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/20 01:50 AM

Here’s my take on this. Just like how we acknowledge white privilege, men have default privileges that women don’t have. So while we are making progress in society towards being more equal, we are nowhere close. Women have to pay for birth control, tampons, bras, skin-care, beauty products, yearly exams, loss of pay and career options due to pregnancy, loss of career options to focus on kids etc etc. Not all apply to every woman but we get the idea. So while society is trying and arguing very ha…

I have a similar story on water and electricity bills. The difference is gas bills isn’t that obvious. Trash bills do not change as it’s a standard fee, except I only need to put the bins out badly once a month compared to before, if I forgot to do it every week, it was a minor disaster :)
