I mean, I just typed into google: "dating app data about male vs. female interest" and got the following return from google's AI: AI Answer … Here are some statistics about male and female interest on dating apps: Swiping Women swipe more than men, but are more selective. In one study, men swiped on 61% of women, but women only swiped on 5% of men. Matches The average female user gets about three matches per day, while the median male user gets about one. Messages The average female user gets ab…

The #1 cause of trouble for men on dating apps is they outnumber women 3 to 1. I had heard this, but unless the spread of men and women on dating apps in terms of attractiveness is uneven (possible, but haven't seen data to support) it doesn't really change the equation very much. Women do date and marry unattractive men from dating apps. The problem with THAT is the marriage goes sour very fast: not nearly as much with cheating or divorce as dead bedrooms. I had not heard that this was a major …

That sounds good. I am curious though, when you say you wanted a bad boy, we all know what that means, why women want it. But speaking as a man, when you say he wanted a lady, what did you mean, exactly? What attributes are encapsulated in that word that you think he finds desirable?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/24 05:39 PM

Sounds like you got lucky. Don't be one of those rich actor types who tells their fans "just follow your dreams, it worked for me!" Because it doesn't seem like it's working like that for kids these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/24 05:24 PM

Speaking as someone who is married and no longer has skin in the game, are you able to see here that the system you propose is extremely self-interested? It's all about you. That can work if you're really hot and really lucky....so are you? If you aren't extremely desirable, you aren't going to get and keep the attention of an extremely desirable man if you behave that way. Even then, you're going to be competing with other, likely less self-absorbed women who the extremely desirable men that ar…

Given the data released by the dating apps themselves, this breaks down pretty badly in practice. It seems that women find attractive/will initiate with a pretty small fraction of men---i.e. the most attractive men. Those men are bombarded with interest and just fuck around, while the women (most) who only put in effort for that sort of guy are left wondering why all men are like that. They aren't, but the really attractive men who are actually interested in committed relationships and who make …

Just think about it for a moment. Why would the terminology be different just because a car is being used as the murder weapon? Vehicular Manslaughter is a thing because it's kind of easy to kill people accidentally with cars and it happens all the time, so that needed a new set of laws. Intentionally running someone over with your car is still attempted murder because you're attempting to murder someone.

The problem is that analogies, like this one, are rarely perfect. You have to look at the situation as it is and it is this: If a woman decides she is not ready for motherhood, for whatever reason, she can abort the child and end her responsibility. The man has no legal rights whatsoever and MUST go along with the woman's choice. She gets to make a decision for both herself and the man. Legally, the man should be allowed to opt out (Presumably before sex. Make it a contractual thing. Nobody woul…

You aren't good/smart/rich enough. 2 minutes of sex followed by crying doesn't really count as 'getting' a hot woman, OP.

You know, I hadn't. Now that I have, my opinion of it hasn't changed a bit. Jezebel sucks. (Can't say that the whole Guardian newspaper does, though. Gooooooo Snowden articles) So does TRP. It's all hate.

The Blue Pill isn't an actual ideology. TRP is. My side doesn't get anything wrong because it doesn't have any stated beliefs.

What keeps me coming back? I'm a huge misanthrope and I like to take out my hatred of the human race on redditors. The people who post here are (apparently, I've only been here for a few minutes) some of the most delusional, useless idiots I've heard of and so it seems a good place for me to vent.

a part of a woman being submissve You're going to have to explain how being nice is a submissive trait, rather than the trait of a decent person (which I am not). For the sake of the question (and because it's true), assume that you're talking to something who thinks of you as subhuman slime for believing what you believe, and with whom you have no philosophical common ground---i.e. use logic, not logical fallacies.

I was making a cute joke, but I don't see how being 'sweet' is a physical trait.

This idea that the TRP is a think-tank respected by anyone other than its members is pretty laughable.

Gee, you don't sound angry at all. I wonder why people think TRP is a hate group...

TRP really isn't representative of men in general. Most men I know love women. They're sweet and they smell nice.

I don't think those are the only two options. Women are physically inferior and the value of non-physical talents have only recently become widely acknowledged by the majority of society. Remember that while history remembers and touts as heroes plenty of politicians, scientists, and philosophers, those were always from the very wealthy classes who made up less than 1% of the population. There wasn't even a 'middle class' really until fairly recently. At any given time prior to 1900, 99% of ever…

Lol. If he is single and you are attractive there is no game. You think we would hesitate to approach women with "hey sexy lets fuck" if that ever worked? Well shit do I have news for you. It works for women. We dont feel shame. Or at least, dont see accepting a proposition like that as shameful. If you have a hard time getting a single guy by being straight up, he thinks youre ugly. And I never see ugly women with guys in decent shape, thats what we feel shame about. I think that says just abou…

Im curious about this FPUA thing. Are you all under the impression that it takes work to get laid as an attractive woman?

Sorry, show's over. I'm deleting this before my friends find out I made a post in Men's Rights that made it to the front page.

Not at all what I'm saying actually.

Sure. My point is more that the political climate is not really right for these ideas at the moment. If things are really terrible, give it another generation and it will become clear enough to everyone that people like you guys won't just get laughed out of everywhere you go.

It amuses me that anywhere else in the world, I would gain karma for the sorts of posts I've made in this thread, but lose it here. Never change Men's Rights.

I'm not even going to dignify this with a thoughtful response.

Sure. I have seen, first hand, examples of misogynistic thought leading to female friends of mine getting paid less. It still happens. Quite a bit. At the same time, what you say is also correct. I saw a great hour long youtube video (actually by a woman) talking at length about exactly your points (and in agreement with you). Mix of both, but we need to be vigilant to ensure that such discrimination doesn't happen at all! :)

I personally think that there are some legal changes (and certainly some institutional wisdom sorts of changes) that would help a lot. I don't think now is the time though. I think that at the moment, making a lot of noise really just hurts your cause later on, when the issues come to a head. I think we should give our experimentation a little more time to adjust, as women have been almost utterly subservient to men for 99% of recorded history.

A. It isn't just about wage discrimination based on gender. While there are all sorts of laws in place to ease that issue, they do not do the job perfectly. Unfortunately, it is still easy in many professions (think of the financial sector. I don't know how much you have to do with it, but my best friend has in the last few years dived head-first into that industry and done very well---it is completely male dominated, and dominated by misogynistic males [like my best friend] at that.) to exclude…

I mean, it really just saddens me that a movement that began (and in most places still is) with such a good idea (total gender equality) has gone so wrong in some people. When you spend too much time thinking about an idea (especially one that breeds and 'us vs. them' attitude) it can become consuming, and make people lose perspective. My issue with radical feminists is that generally they seem to view all men as misogynistic rape machines. I'm just not interested in talking to someone like that…

I don't see the point in the 'guns blazing' attitude when actually trying to get a point across :)

I've never met a radical feminist in real life. They're usually so obviously obnoxious that I just politely keep my distance.

I would agree that the general attitude on the internet towards Men's Rights is not entirely fair. I've argued on facebook a few times against people posting shit from here that I thought was reasonable---but at the same time, if there's smoke, there's a fire. And boy is there a lot of smoke. "However, theoretical access doesn't translate to actual access, and there are more homeless men, men in poverty, and men who commit suicide than women." You know, I feel that this has more to do with men a…

Believe it or not, on an internet forum, the vocal minority might as well be the majority if the majority allows them to take over. And they have.

See, your phrasing betrays you. It isn't what we get away with, its what we come into just for being men. We DO get paid more, we have to put up with less condescending bullshit from idiots, we put up with far less overt sexism, we are far, far less likely to be raped. I think that many people in this forum are misogynists merely for not understanding that we are the gender with the most power. It is just a fact of life. Look at how many men are leaders of countries, corporations, organizations.…

Honestly? Men have it pretty good. I look around, and see women tolerate shit that I wouldn't ever. And its the norm. I don't believe that we men have it all our own way, but the attitude taken by most posters in this subreddit is extremely misogynistic and ignorant. In case you weren't aware, MensRights has become a watchword on the rest of the internet for clueless intolerance. And also in case you weren't aware, forums and internet discussion areas in general are dominated by men, and the int…
