Money is rumored to flow upwards via middlemen. Recently a judge got arrested on corruption charges in Hyderabad.

Firsthand experience in india. Judge doesn’t even look at you when a custody/visitation application comes to hearing. He doesn’t ask any relevant questions and blindly orders one to two hours of visitation every two weeks. Btw, that order can never be enforced. If we seek enforcement multiple times, he will simply say “i am helpless. What can i do?”. But, while enforcing maintenance and child support orders, the white knight inside him roars like a lion.

Since judiciary is almost broken, husband roam around courts for 5 to 10 years. Most people “settle” for huge sums of money.
