Try these out. this helped me in the past. When someone invites you/asks you to join them in something, say kayaking/dancing/cooking/anything. say yes(the 3 second rule applies here too). Once you say yes you have already destroyed all doubts and excuses that could creep in otherwise. Join them for the said activity. that way you will make more friends and they will inturn introduce into your life a wide variety of activities that you are not familiar with. look out for events in your area, loca…

never. be. doubtful. say what you would like to happen, and let the chips fall where they may. "Hey whats your number? lets chat sometime. i would like that,"

There was a time when I was more into what others wanted than what I did. These days all that I ask myself is What do I want? What would make me happy? What's the right thing to do? How can I have more fun right now? I believe this, in addition to the principle of always holding your frame no matter what, is the essence of trp. I wish all my brethren could see the reality of things.

Seems to me that he needs to get a prescription for a pair of balls and a supply of self respect.

"The world may be a scary place but there will always be a bro for you. Find a bro. Be a bro " - a bro. Hold in there bro. Things will get better.

Its sad that people dont get how many men(including myself) have changed their lives by bettering themselves and striving to be the best version of themselves that there can be which is what trp is all about. i have come to understand how things work and understanding something forms the basis of loving it.

Something that I read on this sub and that helped move through the different rp stages is the story of the frog and the scorpion. After this realization there is no hate, only understanding: "A scorpion asks a frog to carry him over a river. The frog is afraid of being stung during the trip, but the scorpion argues that if it stung the frog, the frog would sink and the scorpion would drown. The frog agrees and begins carrying the scorpion, but midway across the river the scorpion does indeed sti…

We are all on the same parallel path. I was eating a burrito while reading this. Saw a cute girl in the ordering line, it was exhilarating walking up to her and saying: "hi I am arvindg87, what's your name." Granted she wasn't really friendly and didn't even give me her name. She just said "I am just here with my friend.." And just turned away. I bounced. That felt good nevertheless. Granted it is painful changing from the old ingrained social conditioning, but this journey will be worthwhile. T…

It's awesome that you are doing what you doing. Don't ever think that the work is done. Always keep making yourself better. A couple weeks is nothing.. The real task is to now keep the momentum going. Good luck.

My mantra: 1. It is my fundamental right and destiny to be happy 2. It is my fundamental right and destiny to succeed. 3. It is my fundamental right and destiny to love and be loved. 4. It is fine and normal to be happy and fun ALL the time. 5. I and only I am responsible for my happiness. It is my role to go for my happiness. No one else is going to do it for me. "CARPE DIEM"

Thanks for sharing all that dude.. Like you said talking to someone definitely would help. I have had issues sharing my emotions with people because of the way I was brought up and so I am working through that and have been making steady progress.. From your fr it appears to me that you are making great progress. Kudos friend

I like your attitude man, would you share your experience with therapy? if it is really helping you through mental hurdles and if so, what changes are you noticing?

I loved this: "rejection is the means to keep two people who are not right for each other away from each other. So welcome rejection" simple yet powerful

Ha! Two cases there: one where someone decides to kick you in the balls for no reason of your own and so you learn to protect yourself or you get hit because of something bad you did in which case the lesson is not to do the bad thing again.. Either way there is something to learn

Here are a few words from mark manson's models.. Absorb these words into your soul and keep moving forward : rejection is the means to keep people who are not right for each other away from each other. Welcome it. Rejection is a gift.
