Why be in ANY kind of relationship with people who don't make you feel special? My friends make me feel special. My family makes me feel special. My pet makes me feel special. My COLLEAGUES make me feel special. When people (but especially unmarried men) say things like this, it truly sounds like they live miserable lives that no one else wants to be a part of. I can't be offended by anyone I don't admire.

I dated a "Let's see where things go" guy. Spoiler alert: I dumped him. That's "where things go." Spare yourself.

I was in a similar situation. ALWAYS remind yourself that no one who loves you would talk to you that way. You love him, but he doesn't love you AND that's not a bad thing. Being able to love is beautiful. He's the one with the problem.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
