I did this too. I can't remember the last time I said "sorry". It used to be my "go to" for everything atypical in a social interaction. Now I only reserve it for special situations where I truly feel the need to apologize to someone for something I did wrong.

I learned how to solve the cube back in freshman year of HS. About a year after learning and practicing speedsolving, I was down to a 20 second average. Back then, I obviously wasn't thinking of using it to my advantage, but I guess now I can start trying to! Edit: Also, thanks a lot for the cubing subreddit! I've been looking for one for ages!

I agree with you about how not giving a fuck creates a safety net underneath you, so to speak. But I also agree with the "actions do matter" argument.
