Hey man I just want to let you know, these words really touched me. I am single, no kids, so I can't imagine the pain you were in. I am just wanting you to know that I think its really awesome that you could write this out for other guys who may be going through similar situations. Its really powerful. Hope life is getting better. Hope you get to spend more time with your kids.

unfortunately it wasn't a directed donation. It was a chained donation. i.e.: Person A, gives to Person B, whose partner gives their kidney to Person A's partner/recipient. It is used when direct matches cannot be made between donor and recipient.

“I saw one article written about it on – the cover of Time magazine it said, why does so many rich, famous and powerful men act like absolute pigs, right? And the article was actually written by a woman, that’s like me writing a book, The Third Trimester and What to Expect." Bill Burr
