I'm italian and I think you're right at some extent. Status is definetly a must here. I mean, good looking/extroverts boys are just the common standard. I definetly noticed this when I went abroad for an exhange program: the foreign girls (=even the very good looking ones) were mad and approached me and my friends like crazy just for the looks and fun we were having at the disco. In my entire life no woman approached me this blatantly in Italy, everything is more subtile and the respective roles…

I'm 25 and in a 6 years LTR (LOL).
