| 1 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapI'm not surprised you don't like HR; I imagine you have been called before them many many times. Probably fired by them a few times. Note that the common factor is you | /r/PussyPassDenied | 14/04/17 11:26 PM |
| 1 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapMarket - that one controlled by men? | /r/PussyPassDenied | 14/04/17 06:00 AM |
| 1 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapI own my own business, but whatever. You clearly know everything. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 14/04/17 03:38 AM |
| 0 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapOr could it be that getting a job like that is hard for a lot of women because there are so few women doing it? Or, perhaps, women aren't suited to it for physical reasons but, for some mysterious reason, the jobs women are more suited to seem to (for some unknown cause that has nothing to do with women's work being seen as inferior and not worth as much) all pay less? Also you obviously don't have kids, because a day with 15 toddlers is enormously hard work And ask yourself - if ickyness or phy… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/04/17 11:31 PM |
| 1 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapYour comment is so self detrimental it's like a perry mason court case | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/04/17 10:46 PM |
| 0 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapGood for you. I'm convinced you are totally right based on you knowing a competent accountant and your statement that work mostly done by women is the kind that can easily be done by anyone. What constitutes the 'real world' to you? | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/04/17 11:11 AM |
| -1 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapNo, the argument is not that women are paid less than men for the same work. It's not a wage gap, it's an earnings gap. Different thing. Earnings gap because jobs requiring equivalent levels of skill and education that are in professions dominated by women are paid less than the equivalent jobs in professions dominated by men. 'Pick more profitable career path' means 'pick a job of the kind that men have traditionally done'. Just because you don't understand what the argument actually is doesn't… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/04/17 10:55 AM |
| -5 | Another Perspective on the Wage GapCompare the salaries of two equally experienced petroleum engineers. why not compare the salary of a 10 year experienced HR manager (female dominated field) with a 10yr experienced accountant (male dominated field). Both require similar education, hours of work and level of 'danger'. thats part of the issue. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/04/17 08:25 AM |
| 1 | Another Perspective on the Wage Gap. I was simply saying that the wage gap is irrelevant if it is not evidence of discrimination against women and is simply just a byproduct of past american culture and the logistics of the world. Unless you think that there is a reason not to continue to follow past american culture and logistics As well stated by /u/S1nistar, there is an earnings gap. The first question is 'why' and the second question is 'are those reasons justified'. Some are (eg more dangerous work, taking 'time off' a caree… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/04/17 08:23 AM |
