-1	Another Perspective on the Wage Gap No, the argument is not that women are paid less than men for the same work. It's not a wage gap, it's an earnings gap. Different thing. Earnings gap because jobs requiring equivalent levels of skill and education that are in professions dominated by women are paid less than the equivalent jobs in professions dominated by men. 'Pick more profitable career path' means 'pick a job of the kind that men have traditionally done'. I was simply saying that the wage gap is irrelevant if it is not evidence of discrimination against women and is simply just a byproduct of past american culture and the logistics of the world.
