Umm, what? If a law was about child food porn, then it wouldn't be a "feminist law". I assume that "feminist laws" are, by definition, about things related to women's rights. Just what the hell is your headline supposed to mean?

I don't think it's the man-bashing, per se. It's more the idea that, if you, as a woman, don't do the laundry yourself (using our convenient no-spill detergent bottle), your husband will ruin your favorite clothes.

Or whatever the self-identified anti-feminist says it means. I agree, though, it's impossible to use the word because it means something different to everybody.

men and fathers are often depicted as complete bumbling idiots who can't cook an egg, or buy groceries correctly, or separate the darks from the lights in the laundry Are you sure it is feminists who promote this depiction? I'm not sure that ad makers are all that feminist. To me, it seems at least as likely that this depiction comes from people who are trying to sell products to women, so that they can do more cooking and cleaning.

You think that taking care of kids is worthless because it's not highly paid. I feel sorry for your children.

It is not my responsibility to prove your assertions to myself. You said this happens every day, so it's up to you to give evidence for that. Spouting your opinion, claiming it as fact, and then telling me to google it is nothing but intellectual laziness.

I don't believe things for which I have not seen evidence. I have not seen any evidence that suggests this happens "every day." Are there a few women in the world who think this way? I have no doubt. There are a lot of assholes and grifters in the world, some of them are bound to have come up with this scheme. But I don't get why you and so many others think it's a constant thought at the back of most women's minds, to wonder how they are going to scam some man.

God damn, there's a lot of morons on this page who think this is a reasonable comment to make. None of you will ever produce documented evidence of such a conversation, yet you are all convinced that they happen all the time. Get over your butthurt that the prom queen turned you down for a date in 12th grade and you'll have a far happier life. I promise.

Yeah, I predict in the future I'll be reading this subreddit about as frequently as I read the feminism one, which is only when it appears on the main front page. I imagine this is best for my blood pressure.

They really like "no women are like that" and then they can go on about being victims. From what little I've read in this subreddit, it seems to me that's exactly what /r/MensRights is about, just substituting "men" for "women".

Can't answer the question, can you? I guess maybe you're not as impartial and above the fray as you thought. I guess you're just like the rest of us.

You had an outside job that you did from home while watching a kid? Do you mind if I ask what type of work it was? I would honestly like to try it, because I'd love to spend all day with my son if possible.

I'm not saying they don't exist, I'm saying that I'm waiting for someone to give me evidence that they exist. You said that such a woman would never admit to her shennanigans, but yet you somehow know of many women who do this, because you have overheard 2 women talking about it. That sounds to me like someone inventing evidence for his own prejudice. I could be wrong, though. You could convince me I'm wrong by offering a story that doesn't sound like complete horseshit. Let's stay on topic here. How do you know the original posts are more likely than not, unless you are already inclined to believe they are true?

So far, your evidence for the existence of women like this consists of (1) a "FWD: Fw: Fw: FWD: YOU GOTTA READ THIS! OUTREGAOUS!!!!"-style JPEG of one obviously contrived chat and (2) drunks shouting in a bar. Is there anything else? Maybe an episode of "Two and a Half Men" you'd like to cite?

You automatically assume it's fake. No, I didn't. I first googled a key phrase from the conversation and, when that didn't turn up any matches, I came to the conclusion that it was most likely fake, since just about everything on the Internet (at least, as far as forums go) is indexed at google. Do you think someone would rightfully admit to getting advice from a gold-digger, whether you're a man or a woman? I assume, then, that nobody has ever admitted this to you. In the absence of that, how d…

The implication I got from askheidi's comment was that women who stay home with the kid are lazy. I agree that if you have to work, you should. But if your husband (or wife) has a high enough income that you can stay home with the kid, rest assured you will not have time to be lazy.

I just want to point out that you are now making an entirely different claim than you were making earlier. Earlier: Most divorces are initiated by women so they can get money for nothing. Now: Family courts should not give absolute preference to women over men.

So if I told you that "I AM AN HEIR OF PRINCE THABO UBUNTU OF KENYA AND I WILL FORWARD TO YOU THE SUM OF 1 MILLION $US IF YOU GIVE ME YOUR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER", you would have no idea if it is true or not. Your skepticism works in odd ways, my friend. And in fact, to my knowledge, I have never met a woman who solicits advice for gold-digging schemes on Internet message boards. Have you? Let me guess, you haven't, but some of the women you've met certainly could have done something like that.

OK, please tell me what the point is. Because I see you defending the original post, saying that "maybe this is fiction but it is truthy", and then saying that it's not OK to just make stuff up and call it true.

They usually make up false abuse and DV allegations There is simply no way of knowing whether this is true or not. Even if you were a judge who had heard more divorce proceedings than any judge in the world, you could not know this.
