You're building a strawman - a man paying for his date's dinner is not equivalent to a woman selling sex to the highest bidder. If you told a woman you were going to give her dinner and she would give you sex at the end of the night, you'd likely find yourself cancelling that reservation pretty quick. Giving someone you care about a gift as a way to show affection is a huge jump from them giving you sex in exchange for that gift.

I'm glad you posted this, and I agree that this is not likely much of a men's rights issue. Too many of the comments on this article are personal anecdotes, and the other half reek of fear of big pharma. It's also concerning that everyone's rallying behind an article posted by such an unbiased source as this (slogan reading something like "liberals are a step away from totalitarianism"), with no real evidence for the claim.

Medicine as in a doctor is traditionally male, but medicine as in nurses and patient-care (i.e, palliative care, geriatric care) type careers are traditionally female. Law is not even listed by the data as now having a greater proportion of women than men (44%). Canada doesn't have a GPA per se, instead your entrance to University/College is usually dependent upon your average percent in your LAST YEAR between all your University level course (Similar to Honors in the US). Universities will not count your College level courses towards your average. Competitive programs will sometimes look back to Grade 11, but I don't know of any programs that look all the way back to Grade 9. This is for Ontario, anyways. Yes you're right, taken out of context, that complaint does sound ridiculous. But I think if someone is going to be photographed -- and even more so if they're going to be photographed in a way that sexualizes them -- that there should be consent involved. So the lack of consent may be the same in both cases, but the level of sexualizing being done here -- in some instances that I know of to clearly under-aged girls -- and what was done with /r/creepshots is not even comparable.
