As a male lurker, some of the shitty behaviours talked about on this sub seem over the top to me and I've rarely witnessed them. But when you say it like that it makes sense. Men tend to behave around each other because there is an air of violence that always surrounds male groups even if it's never actually acted upon (similar to how policing works).
