This should be higher bc influencers are usually just normal people who know how to be on camera. You had a lot in common. You didn’t have to force it. That’s the key to ending up with anyone honestly.

We can’t see, smell or interact with you to answer this question. You could be overestimating your attractiveness, hygiene and people skills. You’d have to ask the people close to you what might be off-putting about you but expect them to not be very helpful to avoid hurting your feelings. You also could be reading too deep into other people’s behavior. The curt, dismissive employees likely did not wanna be at work so their demeanor showed it. The intern you struck up convo with probably didn’t …

I’m not a man. But I’m a behavioral scientist. I’ve worked in rehab centers and harm-reduction clinics. I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of group therapy and CBT on men suffering from addiction stemming from PTSD. Those who are open to the process and not dismissive of it tend to have an easier time getting through the treatment.

Be candid next time you look for a therapist. Tell them you want to get to the bottom of why you’re struggling to connect with women. You had a tough upbringing and you think that’s getting in the way. They’ll help you work through those things but you have to be honest in those sessions.

Right but what resonated with you from this comment thread is the parenthood piece. A therapist is not going to make women magically appear in your life. But they will help you address the inhibitions that came from having a strict, authoritative parent that makes it difficult for you to engage with women naturally. Therapy is to improve your life as a whole.

What do you mean it’s not working? How long did you try for? And seeing a therapist is taking action.

Please go to therapy. Don’t go to YouTube I beg. There’s this idea that therapy is not for men. Thats bullshit. Therapists are trained to help people unpack childhood trauma and find healthy coping mechanisms to deal with triggers. Spend the money you’d be spending on escorts shopping around for a good, preferably male, therapist that will help you compassionately while holding you accountable. You’ll be glad you did.

Work on your charisma. It’s a skill to be built like anything else. Get better at being inquisitive, having open body language, storytelling, and developing your signature secret sauce whether it’s your fashion sense, your sense of humor, or making your expertise easy to understand for laymen. All of these things will increase your magnetism.

There’s merit to this. My shamelessly dtf homegirls go out wearing whatever because they know most dudes just wanna score. They prioritize comfort because there’s no point in putting on airs for someone she may not even speak to the following day. The objective is to get laid, not make him fall in love.

Yes, yes, yes. Scott Galloway wrote a book on exactly this. Young men are afraid to take risks and have less opportunities to demonstrate excellence. The lack of confidence is affecting their lives in a general sense. Bad luck in dating is a byproduct of that. An easy way to get over rejection sensitivity? Take on a sales job.

So there’s a few ways to meet women in the wild. You want to focus on expanding your social circle in general, because social status is a big factor in attraction. The more people you know, the more rooms you’re invited into and the more important you seem. That said, you can meet people at fitness events like Spartan races, marathons, run clubs, yoga in the park type events. Typically, those events have mixers after where people mingle around drinks once the workout is done. Then there’s networ…

I tell my clients to develop a mindset maintenance routine. It can be whatever self care methods you want but it has to include reminding yourself why you’re that guy & why you’re a catch. Whether it’s calling up a non-judgmental friend to vent, writing down on paper what went wrong & why ol girl sucked anyway, focusing on something that’ll push your career forward like a certification or spending time in the mirror flexing after a pump to you remember that you look good af. Shaking rejection re…

I don’t believe in PUA ideology. And I agree that folks shouldn’t need coaching. Our nature is to connect. Social media silos have eroded our ability to do that. Both men and women are affected. My job as a coach is deconditioning and getting people back to their roots. But considering how many external factors are encouraging us to be the worst versions of ourselves and resent the opposite sex, there’s a lot of internal work needed to undo that. Especially for people on Reddit.

Must of us aren’t such enigmas. Most of us are average, everyday people, who only have as much capacity to love as our emotional intelligence, empathy and communication skills allow.

I think you should start by learning how to talk to people, particularly strangers, with curiosity and good faith instead of hostility. Speak with a therapist to rule out potential personality disorders and find methods to heal any childhood trauma. Find a physical activity to get involved in, particularly a group one, to give you an outlet to socialize and make your body look better. Read up on emotional resilience and how to build charisma. And then maybe you’ll be able to approach a pretty gi…

I tend to be a little harsh toward desperation from either side. Because it’s not very hard to attract if you focus energy inward. Self development is key to having luck in the dating pool. Most people don’t want to put in the work so they end up posting their self-pity on Reddit looking for enablers. Think of how a magnet works. Tiny atomic fields within a material align to create a stronger, cumulative magnetic field that extends outside the magnet. The magnetic field causes attractions (or re…

Then go be Asian in the neighboring larger town’s high brow cocktail bar. Be Asian in that same small town’s career panels. Be in rooms where your being Asian wouldn’t be a hindrance to your ability to socialize because your race wouldn’t matter. Your status and intellect might. But both of those are things you have control over.

Dating apps are matchmaking services and are the most common way people meet. Using services to find love is now the norm. The point I’m making is not that you should buy a woman’s love. I’m actually saying the opposite. You get a woman’s love with empathy and intrigue. You should never lead with money. But you keep a woman’s love by keeping the romance alive. Unless you’re incredibly creative, resourceful and naturally romantic, you will have to open that wallet to show how special she is to yo…

That’s fair. I get a lot of insight as a woman who works for a matchmaking platform but you really don’t have to listen to me lmao

Are you in Germany? That’s probably the only place you’ll find a high pop of beautiful women willing to go Dutch. And even there they complain about that standard

He’s not wrong. But the empathy and swagger has to come with gifts, trips and dinners eventually if you wanna keep her. Unless she’s ugly or super insecure.

27F bartended for 7 years. All the fine guys who made bank at the places I worked at would had the same game. Smoldering eye contact, smirking, knew how to banter & get a laugh outta people and made free drinks out of shit we needed to get rid of behind the bar to make women feel special.

Depends on the emotional impact of the effort. You’re right in that you should let the actions speak for themselves and not beg for credit. You’re also correct that more effort doesn’t always lead to more excitement. Where you’re wrong is telling a group of men who struggle with seduction that positive and negative emotional impact carry equal weight. If you’re not handsome, wealthy or charismatic, negative emotional impact will turn you into a social media storytime segment or get you laughed a…

It’s an unspoken rule among women to take a step back after the first date especially if there was physical intimacy. The ball’s in your court to show her you’re still interested after spending time together the first time. If you don’t msg her to affirm that you had a good time or you liked her at all within 24 hours, that’s an immediate next for women with options.

“What’s often to you?” Wait for her answer. Then say “I’ve been on a few dates but nothing’s really stuck yet. Hoping that changes with you.” Works if you’re looking for long or short term and it validates her. Answer this honestly. But please for the love of God do not mention your ex even once. Just give the timeline. Most women don’t care about rebounding if you seem healed and focused on the woman directly in front of you. Describe your type. Give one or two physical attributes, make sure sh…

You can’t say studies are all over the place without specifying what the studies are about. This just assumes that there’s one type of therapy and that everyone that goes is getting the most effective treatment for their issues. The reality is that some people are forced into therapy, others lie to their therapists. There are many reasons why therapy wouldn’t work for some individuals. That doesn’t mean that professional psychological help at large is ineffective.

Yeah even though I wish her the best I’m so concerned for that baby. She posted herself buying her man a luxury car not too long ago and I was so confused. She’s so young and wants the responsibility of raising a child and is willing to risk her youth looking after a man. Could never be me.

As a girl who used to enjoy anime because of the action and art I’m disgusted with how women are depicted most of the time. It’s super hard to find genuinely interesting ones without excessive tit physics and hyper-sexualized teens. It’s disturbing af. It’s already a huge red flag for a man to have naked or half naked actual women plastered on their belongings. Add to that the ridiculous cartoon proportions and the fact that anime characters all look like pre-schoolers and you have a violently w…
