left out some important man-hating moments When I was taught about it at school they never mentioned the terrorism. Or how they would hand out white flags to any man who stayed home during the world war (even little boys as young as 12 were given them).

There's no statistical data to back up the premise that women have to come as they are. Um, yes there is. Look at the dating app statistics that get posted every other day on this sub. Also without statistics, consider the dynamic between male and female. The female always seeks a man larger, stronger, faster than herself even in nature. Don't be obtuse and use your critical thinking skills instead of faking outrage.

This is hilarious. So you come at me in your comment claiming objectively that feminism supports women, then when shown a quote from one of the most influential feminists of the last generation you double down and say "well not all feminists agree" which only proves my point. YOU will need to provide a valid argument, not me. Don't dismiss stuff that doesn't fit your perfect glittery idea of feminism.

Feminists do not respect motherhood and there are myriad of examples of them doing this. Even though your movement claims to support women's choice, this is certainly not the case. In 1976, the French feminist icon Simone de Beauvoir said, “No woman should be authorized to stay home to raise her children. Women should not have that choice, because if there is such a choice, too many women will make that one.”

It is all talk. No action. Its easy to say you love or respect the sacrifice women do but the reality is that, it simply isn't true. Lol the audacity to make such a bullish statement. Feminism doesn't respect the sacrifice women make, after all it was feminists that demonised motherhood and caricatured babies as parasites. Evil ideology. lovely single men I like that typo.
/r/AntiFeminists08/02/23 10:59 AM

We talk all the time about how we love and respect mothers and the sacrifice women undertake in being mothers and wives. Classic "no u" though which I can only expect at this point. If anything, it is feminism that has cheapened motherhood. It is a wonderful that men are now doing the same in retaliation to your own psuedo-lesbian movement ;)

Those third world countries you're mentioning still have polygyny as an exception and not a rule. Most men with a decent job would traditionally be married off to a woman, and so every of-age male who wasn't in the military could easily get married and have sex fairly regularly. Studies show that sex frequency compared to previous generations has declined, despite the stereotype that this generation is promiscuous, this only benefits a small subset of men. In the past, religious values made it i…

I would. Given that most women married average men in the past (generally speaking) it was society that was able to mitigate this evolutionary chaos of women only wanting 10% of men. Feminism came along and undid it that socialisation.

Women being delusional about their looks will never justify a man having an emotional outburst after being rejected. If you get rejected, take it in stride and move on. I also think you're playing into feminist rhetoric by saying 'so many men are lashing out' – just how true is this when divorced from feminist hyperbole? Then again you contradict yourself by saying most men don't match this psychological profile. Please do elaborate.

Do you look for a man that is taller? Richer? More intelligent? More educated? More socially connected? No women calls this creepy, but the minute a man looks for the reverse in a woman it becomes an issue to some of you.

What I've noticed being from an 'Eastern' culture myself is that women are held more accountable by other women. There is no deranged psuedo-lesbian sisterhood like it is in the West where women relentlessly uphold each other at the expense of literally everything in society (especially men). The women from these cultures are also far more grateful for the work men do for them, they were raised to be appreciative of it. Western feminists on the other hand despise men and massively under state th…

I said it was common sensical that women would pursue men that can demonstrate social competence, not married men. They're all attracted the same small demographic of men who happen to be spoken for. In other words, I'm calling it a coincidence rather than a correlative answer.
/r/AntiFeminists28/01/23 07:10 PM
1

I never agreed to the notion of pre-selection. Your comment is a against an argument I did not make. Your example is also not relevant to what I mentioned; that is an example of a woman going specifically for a married man. I merely pointed that women tend to all find the same men attractive, the top 10%, and those men are all in relationships constantly. This produces some degree of competition amongst women. Again, this is not because women want to 'steal' a married man, but rather because the…

Pre-selection is obviously what you're referring to here, but I don't think it supports your conclusion. Women are attracted to men who can demonstrate social competence. Those men also tend to be spoken for more often than not. The fact they are spoken for is a demonstration of social competence. This does not mean they are home-wreckers automatically, it's just common sensical that women would find these men more attractive.

Oh I agree. What I was referring to though was the 'men vs women' mentality. Because most feminists are women and claim that feminism represents womanhood, it's easy to become disillusioned and inherit their obsessive hatred of men in the reverse. We must always keep the focus on the ideology itself and it's main practioners. They are the ones responsible.

Upon reflection, I do find myself being biased in favour of men on certain issues. This isn't a problem for me however because I am always self aware of my own biases and I deeply question everything I believe to be true quite regularly. When it comes to 'bitterness' though, I think it's always best to remove emotion from truth-seeking. Getting angry over these things doesn't do anything, and it's one of the ways that moderates become radicalised into actual misogynists. It's also worth remember…

However, when women do kill, they are most likely to kill an intimate partner or other family member. In Women Offenders, a special report from the Bureau of Justice Statistics (Washington, DC: Office of Justice Programs, NCJ 175688, 1999), researchers stated that of the sixty thousand slayings committed by women between 1976 and 1997, just over 60% were committed against a nonstranger. Suffrage was never a human right, and it's in this example that you prove my point. Feminists did not acknowledge the link between responsibility and voting rights. If you go back further in history, those without property (i.e. including men) were not allowed to vote. As a class that did not pay tax and contribute on the level of men, women were therefore not allowed to vote. Offering men and women 'equality' when they do not contribute equally is tyranny. I wonder what the methodology for that study was. It's not atypical for feminist-backed studies to have loosely defined criteria or have small sample sizes in order to get flashy statistics like "1 in 3" for easy headlines. Whilst I agree that women should seek protection, the rate at which they experience violence in general is lower than men's and yet men do not show the same proclivity to mass hysteria in the way feminists do.

Everyone is allowed to have fears, whether those fears are justified however is the point of questioning. I don't think it's wrong for women to be distrustful of men they don't know, or to take extra precautions when dealing with men as opposed to other women. But, I do think that the way feminists talk about men goes beyond them describing their worries and fears, they hate men and they use rape paranoia as a way to spread that contempt and fear.

The vast majority of women I've seen make an issue out of shaving are 9/10 times feminists who have nothing better to do with their activism. They are free to not shave for the above reasons you listed. They cannot force men to like it, especially when it becomes egregiously long and unkempt.

That's the kicker though, because they expect you to play along with it and if you don't you'll be called a slew of words ending in "ist" or "phobe". Feminists have been trying for a long time to change men's sexuality and preferences using primarily fatness and body hair.

I know it’s their choice to be messed around with a guy, doesn’t mean I think it’s a good idea. Aha, now we're getting somewhere. What you think is a good idea between two consenting adults is frankly moot. Women who date very rich serially promiscuous men are well aware the mind games and lack of exclusivity that come along with it. Tate is playing into that domination 'kink' or whatever. Certainly not my thing, but my opinion doesn't matter and neither does yours. They're grown women. Yes, wit…

I think people have been saying he was already released from police custody. There has not been a single shred of reputable evidence to suggest he trafficked anybody. He did used to own a cam site with various female actresses, that's where this allegation sprouted from. None of them have come forward speaking against Tate however. The whole thing is just because certain people want him silenced, it's quite disgusting really.
/r/AntiFeminists30/12/22 06:17 PM

No by saying “I’m going to fucking cheat on you” You realize the women that screw around with Tate know who he is, right? They know they aren't the only the queen in the castle so to speak. Again, they engage consensually knowing they'll get "cheated on", it's their choice. Yes, and that’s wrong Withdrawing consent is wrong? Who do you think I am that agreeing with that would make me a hypocrite 💀

it’s okay because men can fuck women without caring about them (a point he’s made clear numerous times) I agree I don't like his stance on it either. Polygyny in and of itself isn't wrong but doing it through cheating and with Tate's mentality is wrong. At the end of the day the women he engages with consent to this dynamic so I stand neutrally on it. Tate blatantly tells men to use it as a way to program a women during sex, see this. Cheating is okay for a man I don't agree with his view here, but I see his logic. Polygyny isn't something new or "evil". One powerful man taking several women under his wing was quite common historically. It is biologically imbued in human mating (we are not actually pair bonders, men are built to spread their seed). women are programmable and vulnerable during sex Is this actually incorrect, or do you just find it uncomfortable? I also think that when they accuse those men so impulsively of one of the worst crimes they only aid in proving our point about false rape accusations. If a woman can call you a pedophile for liking youthfulness at the drop of a hat, what's stopping her from accusing you of rape in a private setting? Nothing, because they have no shame at all.

then you say “ it’s so easy to say no to sex. If a homeless person asks me for money on my way to work everyday, I can say no everytime. Your antecedent does not support your conclusion here, and doesn't refute my point. If an individual will not leave someone alone and keeps pestering them for sex it counts as harassment and not coercion. Coercion within it's very definition requires threat of force.
/r/AntiFeminists21/12/22 09:05 AM

No it isn't. This is how words lose meaning. Coercion is not coercion without some form of force/blackmail. Being asked for sex repeatedly does not count as coercion and this is a dangerous precedent, because it allows the person who accepts to shirk all personal responsibility. It is so unbelievably easy to say NO to sex. Take some fucking accountability for once.

There is some evidence women are more verbally aggressive than men, particularly in their use of indirect aggression via tactics such as gossip (Hess & Hagen, 2006; McAndrew et al., 2007). For instance, women spend more time gossiping than men and are much more likely than men to gossip about close friends and family members (Levin & Arluke, 1985). Among friends, women tend to gossip more about physical appearance, whereas men gossip more about achievement (Watson, 2012). Gossiping, though, is a…

I would say we live in a covert matriarchy yes, but in your doomsday scenario it would be overt. I certainly think feminists love to power trip by purposely underselling how much power and influence women have over men and society. They are far more manipulative in their dominance.
/r/AntiFeminists16/11/22 08:45 PM
12

The reality is that a matriarchy would form out of the chaos, and the largest most aggressive women would basically fulfil the role of males and create a new dominance hierarchy with themselves on top by forming gangs and taking resources. Then the same violence would ensue (if not worse) and they'll have nobody to scapegoat.

Not really, this has more to do with the stupidity that is intersectionality theory. These women all overlap with each other in the sense that they are all female, and therefore 'oppressed', but intersectionality teaches them that the most oppressed woman is the black queer woman. It's a hierarchy of oppression, with white males on the top (least oppressed) and black disabled queer women on the bottom. So white feminist women are still percieved as an enemy to an extent.

The wives of the Prophet (pbuh) were required to veil completely or be screened off. That was a ruling specific to them. It's known as khasais (roughly translated as 'specifics'). Got anymore things for me to debunk? I've got plenty of 'taqqiya' to spare 🥱

Also: Ibn Kathir reported: عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا قَالَ وَجْهُهَا وَكَفَّيْهَا وَالْخَاتَمُ وَرُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَعَطَاء…

Goalposts. He said the niqab was mandatory which is full veiling with only the eye(s) visible. That is not mandatory and never has been. Women are encouraged heavily to wear the khimar (regular headscarf) but it is not legally enforced in Islamic law per se, unless it becomes a source of civil unrest or rebellion, in which case it is up to the ruler. Plenty of Muslim women in Muslim countries do not wear the headscarf with no penalty. Stop your taqiyaa. Fucking lol, classic.

two sisters and some cousins aren't the entirety of women. ...you are not the entirety of women either. Golly gosh, the martial arts centre costs money! I think this conversation is done, Jesus Christ 🤦‍♂️
/r/AntiFeminists21/10/22 02:12 PM
2

I have two sisters and 90% female cousins, I do know. And I don't give a shit what you're 'told', nobody is stopping you from learning how to fight, go to any martial arts centre and most of them do women's self defense training. And back to what I said, even if you threw a perfect punch you would not take a man out. Stick to a gun or dog.
/r/AntiFeminists21/10/22 02:03 PM
4

Nobody raises women not to do those things, they just choose not to learn them. Nobody taught me as a man how to throw a punch, I knew it was a skill I might need and I learnt it myself. Also, a man punching a woman full force in the face (not abdominal region, don't move the goalposts) will easily break her orbital bone and knock her out cold. You cannot handle male strength, no matter what karate fantasy you believe in.
/r/AntiFeminists21/10/22 01:56 PM
2

I agree and you said the same thing I did. I've been kneed in the balls full force during rugby and still continued for a while. A dainty kick from a woman (which will probably bounce off the assailants jeans) is not going to stop him at all, maybe just piss him off. I do think things like biting and spitting are your best bet tbh, cause just enough pain to cause them to release you.
/r/AntiFeminists21/10/22 01:54 PM
6

The thing is, if you are grabbed and cornered I don't see how keys will get you out of that situation. The first thing a dangerous man will do to a woman he's trying to apprehend is grab her arms. Most men will be strong enough to grab her arms and lift her at the same time even. It's just fucked.

/r/AntiFeminists21/10/22 12:30 PM

A lot of feminist women have a delusional perception of themselves. They over estimate their strength and fighting ability. Even as a 6 foot 5 man, if I'm in a situation where multiple other men are trying to mug me, I'm going to run not fight. Telling women to stand and fight is terrible (especially with fucking keys) dangerous advice.
/r/AntiFeminists21/10/22 12:28 PM

Because the world doesn't operate in a way where you can reduce every issue to someone's sex being the explanandum, that is what is stupid. "It's men doing" like what kind of monkey brain deduction is this? It's like seeing the world in black and white.
/r/AntiFeminists21/10/22 12:14 PM

Of course it's men. Men are also doing the dying here. Feminism is so parochial that it's incapable of dealing with issues outside of a gendered lens. It's fucking stupid.

I love this particular feminist retort whenever men bring up their own suffering. It shows you truly do not care. You are only interested in blaming men, rather than solving societal problems regardless of who is perpetrating them. Disgusting ideology.

/r/AntiFeminists13/10/22 10:51 AM
7

I already knew I'd get this comment. Nobody equated them morally, nobody. You're missing the point on purpose to derail the obvious double standard I'm illustrating. Had a man said he didn't want a daughter for some stereotypical 'potential' behaviour she would commit in the future, he would've been chastised for misogyny. That's the point.

I don't have an emotional response to any topic I deal with, because it produces nothing of benefit. Do you think a jury dealing with a murder case has an emotional response? Or do you think they put their emotion aside and use their rationality and protocol to achieve justice? Being emotional has never been a good thing yet that is what your entire movement is based on.

You should read more. Like she's talking about harassment and vile sex acts. And? There are men out there that have had their lives ruined by women and this type of rhetoric – 'everyday I hate women more' – is still forbidden. This doesn't address my overall point whatsoever. You've basically made an appeal to emotion by saying bizarre shit like this: Or came up to you and bashed your head in for showing some hair?
/r/AntiFeminists12/10/22 10:25 PM
4

What's bad faith about what I said? The fact you randomly assumed the OP hated women when he made no such suggestion. All he mentioned was how women's hatred of men gets praised and 'yassed' far more often than the reverse which gets heavily censored. The fact I'm even explaining this is a piss take because I know you're here to troll.
/r/AntiFeminists12/10/22 10:21 PM
4

Did I say it isn't an issue you dumb fuck? It isn't a gender issue in the sense that men aren't going out and raping women as part of some kind of power dominance ritual like feminists iterate. Keep regurgitating variations of 'inkwell' by the way I know you need to reach that word count.

it's pretty clear that only for woman is socially acceptable(and often encouraged) to express them So spot on. Had a man made this post ranting about women as some sort of evil bogeyman they would've been ridiculed as incels and dismissed immediately. Extremism amongst women is romanticised and encouraged, they are not shamed enough for having these beliefs.

/r/AntiFeminists12/10/22 01:04 AM

I think feminists' obsession with mocking incels is nothing short of sadistic. Granted, the people who they define as "incel" seems to change constantly, but the men that are extremely lonely and unloved do not deserve further chastisement (aka real incels). It's just a sick form of bullying, but it's acceptable when it's done to men.

But still what? Elliot Rodgers is exactly what I'm talking about, he was wiped off the map, and the only people who talk about him are edgy 4channers. His philosophy on women is utterly rejected by the mainstream and deemed stupid and highly personal. You will never hear of something like 'radical meninism' in academia, but you will hear radical feminism plenty, because feminist extremism is more romanticised and tolerated.

It's disgusting.

That men and women cannot be friends is by no means "common sense" in our society, Except this wasn't asserted by OP in their post at all. He very clearly refers to being friends with women you already have feelings for which is far different. Meaning his advice is not to expend emotional energy on someone who does not reciprocate your feelings – common sense.
/r/AntiFeminists19/09/22 06:56 PM

/r/AntiFeminists25/08/22 12:16 PM

Right. Their feelings are sacred whilst ours do not exist, we instead receive the title of 'ego'. According to feminist theory, it's the patriarchy that undermines male emotions, when in reality feminists play a huge role in ridiculing men's feelings.

I agree that they started it. I'm not blaming the men going their own way, it's a natural reaction to being scapegoated and unwanted on a societal level, but the point remains that women have their own isolationist ideologies and that both sexes don't really need each other on an individual level. It's a moot point. Seeing as the birth rates have rapidly declined and marriage is becoming dust in the rear mirror, I'd disagree with that last sentence. All of this is not good for society, but the r…

Not true at all? Now I question your perspective. I agree that the internet magnifies fringe opinions and allows radicals to seem more apparent than they are, but I disagree that that is the case here. Most modern Western women consider themselves to be feminists. According to Pew Research, 61% of American women see themselves as feminist. Younger women were shown to also be far more attached to the label, and these are the next generation of girls. This man-hating female cult ideology has becom…

/r/AntiFeminists01/08/22 05:46 PM
2

Well, the difference is that calling someone a boy is meant to insult their manhood. No parallel term exists for girls, because they are not expected to mature into womanhood the same way boys attain manhood. Ironically, by using this as an insult they are legitimising masculine gender roles.
/r/AntiFeminists01/08/22 05:42 PM

There is a MGTOW for women, look at the comments on FDS where plenty of women swear off dating men. I don't agree with this because both sexes don't 'need' each other in the romantic sense if we want to go there. It's not a competition of who needs the other the least. The issue is that this isolationist philosophy is detrimental for society when it occurs on a large scale. Men and women as a collective do need each other to maintain the population and working societies.
/r/AntiFeminists01/08/22 05:37 PM

In the West, that statement isn't absurd. It's still incorrect, but the reality is that a very large number of women hold these views to varying extents.

With that said, the meme is highlighting a difference between the sexes. This has always been what they really wanted. Not equality or some semblance of harmony, but superiority and control. The humiliation and emasculation of men.

in Texas there is a bounty to turn doctors in who preform abortions under any circumstance. Okay? This seems like a weird tangent which could easily be regulated against. So fucking what. There's probably a bounty on doctors who turn off life support by deranged family members of the deceased too. Who gives a fuck. So the numbers you report (without a source linked) Widely available information, look it up if you want to play skeptic. How many women have to die for you to wake up? Lmao what the …

Oh apologies your highness, your IQ is certainly far above everyone else's and we are simply jesters to amuse you. The instances of abortion as a result of rape are already miniscule. According to pubmed, the likelihood of a woman falling pregnant after being raped is just 5%. Coupling these things together, and it's almost a non-issue that represents a tiny proportion of genuine abortion requests. Yes, the system is not going to be perfect, it's good enough for how we can handle these already i…

The same way exceptions are always handled, by only allowing those with evidence of extenuating circumstances to use abortive services.

If only abortion was reserved for those specific circumstances, rather than used as late birth control. Those two are like the only exceptions to the rule.

How is it government overreach to legislate an issue of moral significance? Should the government also avoid legislating against murder and other human rights abuses on the same grounds? I'm not saying 'abortion = murder' necessarily but I totally understand where that side is coming from. There's also plenty of licenced medical professionals who are also against abortion, the matter is both moral and medical in nature.

As usual, they argue it stems from the patriarchy, but there are plenty of women who react viscerally to male emotions and uphold this social standard. Just today I watched a tik tok with a woman mocking her boyfriend for being excited to go out with his mates (she even insinuated he was being gay).

Being a scholar of religion does not necessitate religiousness. For instance, comparative religion scholars Right, which means they are not Muslim scholars. That's a bit disingenuous to say the least. They are theologians. by a Muslim scholar who denied the historicity of Muhammad. Guess I'll have to take your word for it. What I said about cognitive dissonance still stands to anyone who holds both views simultaneously.
/r/AntiFeminists23/06/22 10:12 PM

Any "Muslim scholar" who advocates that view would be suffering from acute cognitive dissonance. In fact, they're probably the mythical figures you're thinking of, because they don't exist.

Lmfao you redditor, this is false. He did not commit mass murder, ever. Terrorism is wrapped up in geo-political contexts (rather than religious) and the killing of innocents (which are the main targets in terrorist attacks) is strictly forbidden. If a male were to show up with a monobrow at my workplace, you could bet people would start making fun of it. Same thing here for unkempt hairy women. You can't force people not to make fun of you. If you like growing your leg hair out more than not getting made fun of, then all the more power to you. But even you as you've admitted are not willing to undergo that. You either deal with it and go against the grain, or shun it and stay shaved and bully-free. Good luck controlling what other people…

You literally brought up not showering, which is hygiene which is a comparison. Except as I just reiterated, that was not the subject of comparison. I was not comparing hygiene. I was comparing the poor justification of 'it occurs naturally therefore'. There are so many double standards to erode this logic it isn't even worth it.
/r/AntiFeminists11/06/22 11:29 AM

Little boy, classic feminist emasculation. Moving swiftly on: They didn't compare the gravity of cancer to hair removal. You're pretending not to understand the basic analogy to dismiss the point, and feminists do this all the time. The justification that something 'grows naturally' therefore should be left alone applies to tumours as well. Except wre remove them. So something being 'natural' is not a good justification at all. Did I help you understand?

When have women ever been forced to shave their legs? This isn't even an issue. If you don't want to do it, suit yourself. If you have a spouse, discuss it with them and plan accordingly. This whole 'issue' is just an excuse to feign oppression or some shit.

Disagree, feminism as a whole is exactly the way the commenter described. It's not like only the extremists are producing these outcomes, the ideology itself is conducive to them across all strata.

It's really not hairsplitting. It's just that such a statement cannot be factual. I'm skeptical at the notion itself, because how is cooperativeness measured? Being overly cooperative is not a good thing either, but the statement suggests it is. There's nuance with things like this.
/r/AntiFeminists03/06/22 07:54 PM

That cannot be true in every instance so it cannot be a fact. You might say they are "more likely" to be cooperative/agreeable based on statistics which is different.

I've always wondered, what are feminists trying to prove? What's the ultimate conclusion to their anti-male rhetoric? Is it the genocide of the problematic male species? Forced education in camps to correct 'male' behaviours? I mean seriously, if one argues that an entire sex is irredeemable and tyrannical from their delusional world view, what are they really asking for?
/r/AntiFeminists30/05/22 12:43 PM

Ah yes, the classic "guilty by association" fallacy. Once again feminists are aligning themselves very closely with racist logic, not a coincidence.

This has nothing to do with jobs, they are there of their own volition. Women in general seem to be more invested in 'social progress movements' than men are across all strata.

I love it when feminists say this in response. It's effectively an ideological form of ransom. "Everything bad you take issue with is ackchually toxic masculinity – which means it's technically your fault and us women are exonerated from blame and involvement. Also, you should now subscribe to our ideology because feminism is the panacea to all the problems ever! Yipee!" All good stuff. You failed to mention marital and cohabitation laws however. Those throw a wrench into things, big time. A woman taking half of your stuff and your kids too when things go south is enough to keep most men away. You did touch on a point I've come to accept and that is that without religion marriage rarely ever works.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen01/05/22 10:00 PM

Where can I find one of those? See, the thing is, you're more likely to get a bad deal than a good one out of marriage. Women are not obligated to be the way you described. They are rather incentivised to behave poorly. I'm only 20 years old, having kids and wife is definitely on my radar, but I know my chances are slim. If that makes me black pilled, so be it.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen01/05/22 05:35 PM

No he isn't, he's pragmatic. A modern male has next to nothing to gain from marriage.

Even if the father passed away and the relationship ended under uncontrollable terms, you're better off avoiding single moms all the same. You will never be the father of those kids, you will never be equivalent to her kids in standing, she will ALWAYS put them first, if things go sour between you two you will have developed a relationship with kids that aren't yours and that you will have no visitation rights for. Just AVOID it.

I didn't reply to this but seeing the odd reaction in these comments I think I will now. The actual etymology of the term 'Muhammadan' is a Christian term. Upon hearing of a new religion in the Middle East, the Christians were principally concerned with the central figure 'Muhammad'. Given their own doctrine, they assumed that this new religion was built on the worship of this figure so they proliferated the term. Nowadays, 9/10 times when someone says Muhammadan it is often meant in a mocking s…

Guru Granth Sahib the central figure of Sikhism doesn't stand up to my scrutiny either. That doesn't mean I go out of my way to tantalise Sikhs by calling them 'Sahibists' or whatever. I didn't need your break down, I understand quite well what they're insinuating and it isn't any less mocking. Maybe if you read the Old Testament your 'quite perfect' image of Jesus will be soured.

I understand what you mean, but when Muslims make clear what they prefer to be called, to go out of one's way to call them 'Mohammadans' only comes across as grimly mocking. On the point of Christ-Christians as well, there's a dynamic there that doesn't exist in Islam – namely the worship of the central figure.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen08/04/22 06:49 PM

I have no idea why some people choose to say that instead of simply saying Muslims. Then again I think that's the point. They misuse the word to be passive-aggresively mocking.

Totally agree, they profess to being tolerant but have a narrow checklist to tick on what makes you a 'good' person in their eyes. At the end of the day they don't care about the religion, or even the people to some extent; they just want to use it for their own agenda and toss it when it doesn't align with them. I'm already seeing a movement amongst young Muslims brewing that's pushing the same "don't judge" dogma they did with Christianity, to steer them into liberalism.

That video is one of the worst takes I have seen from Peterson, and I usually agree with him on most fronts. The notion that feminists don't complain about Saudi Arabia is blatantly untrue; they despise it.

Spot on. They don't defend Islam, they defend some of it's adherents on the basis that they are colored people. I'm racially white and Muslim, and these people hate me irl. They are only drawn to Muslims who use their Islam as a cultural accessory and are black/brown. Most hardcore liberals are awake to the fact Islam is in total opposition to their debauchery and degeneracy, but they feel a strange pity for some of the people that fit their intersectionality pandering, and so they defend them.
