The breakdown of the relationship and the reality of these no good goofball sitcom husband's is such a good storyline tbh. Patty is a pickme in my opinion, who would do whatever to be 'one of the boys'. Her character development is so well done. I think it's a good reminder for what the world really is like for women. That you can never be too cautious and have to be on guard for predators. Some people are like this, just disengage and see her response. If she acts like she doesn't care then she just doesn't. Don't initiate plans or conversations. Just fade it out. Giving your partner priority is important but not so much so that you don't care about your friends. It's called being a balanced adult with nurturing relationships. Right now the story of Courtney Stodden really scares me. In her case the obvious grooming was ignored by everyone and all the blame was placed upon her. WHEREAS this 51 year old who married a 16 year old was free from questioning. Her parents consented to this. It is so unfortunate to see how she was treated.
