My experience at university was this: a lot of couples met within the first month of university at events or parties. Maybe 50-60% of couples. After that period everyone else is meeting on dating apps for the most part. Couples who met after graduating university aged 22-30? The majority are meeting through apps.

Of course it's not a silver bullet. It's a foot in more doors so to speak. Especially as women seem to be getting taller. It makes you more attractive to a wider range of women. A noticeably taller man (outside the average range) does seem to get noticed. I had a co-worker who would constantly have women mention his height. He could stand at a bar and women would comment on it. He was 6'4 and probably taller in boots.

Average in my country. I don't live in a large city so my options are fewer. My country has a less sexually liberated culture than say the US.

There's definitely fewer women my age who are single. The women I've slept with are at least 4 years younger than me. I've never been with a woman over 25.

So you're telling me I turned from a giga Chad top 16%er in my early 20s to a below average man in my late 20s?

This is hard to say without sounding mean but since you asked: Physically they were not in shape and sometimes overweight. They had some facial features which are more masculine and less symmetrical. I still found them attractive in some way, like they had a nice smile or we just had good chemistry.

I consider myself average in my country. I can get laid 1-2 times a year max. It's usually with a woman who's less attractive than me. I was in a 5 year relationship in my early-mid 20s with someone I considered my looksmatch. I've had one fwb but that ended badly. As far as dating apps go, I can get a few dates but they never go anywhere. They usually ghost me or there's not enough mutual attraction. Never had instant chemistry on date with someone from apps. The women are too guarded, I'm not …

It's location dependent. Some places encourage women to enter romantic relationships due to cost of living or family/friend group pressures. Unlike men, a women's desire for romantic relationships is not as predicated on access to regular sex. The women who live in big cities like New York are there to pursue their careers. They live in a culture and work environment which encourages them to stay single.

I have been attracted to tall women before and one time had sex with a woman taller than me. Long legs are nice. On dating apps I don't swipe on anyone over 5'10 as it's a wasted swipe. I've never received any attention from a woman taller than me on OLD.

It entirely depends on the woman and how much sexual chemistry you have. My ex wouldn't stop touching me, would constantly feel my hair, rub my arms and chest, touch my ass during sex. I've had other women just star fish and refuse to touch me. I once spent the night with a woman spooning her and she barely noticed I was there or cuddled back. She was probably autistic though.

Most zoomers use TikTok which is cancerous if you look at the dating advice or conversations about dating discourse there. The algorithm rewards a type of woman who posts content like 'bestie you just rejected 20 ugly short men, keep slaying Queen'. A woman content creator will make an insane list of icks which makes the young men watching it even more insecure to approach women.

You can have a normal instagram or no Instagram and do perfectly fine with women. My Instagram account is for photography and I've had some women go '😮' when they see the pictures (they're already attracted to me anyway). I don't connect to dating apps or show off, it's just something I like to share if we're seriously dating or if we're friends. Women's attraction is like a volume knob, it probably goes up one notch when you show them a cool Instagram. It doesn't have much of an effect on overa…

Anything over 10-20 seconds is staring. Different cultures stare more though. When I was in Germany people would stare a lot on the train or subway. It's unnerving. Apparently it's a thing in India to stare. Also I'm a guy.

Staring at anyone for a prolonged period is creepy, making eye contact with women is not. When they post about a creepy guy they are wanting validation and comfort from fellow women. They would have spoke about it with their friends at the sewing club 100 years ago. Today they can share it to millions of others online.

As a man I like being incognito. I'm not expected to be a very social person. I don't have friends who'll pressure me into going to social events. On social media I can be more authentic and autistic and nobody will really care. I can go on solo walks at night alone without a fear of being attacked. A group of male friends hanging out together is more fun because everyone can be unfiltered and say anything.

Not around enough single women. I live in a tourist city which has at most 100k inhabitants. I'd wager there's less than 2000 single women in my age range who are looking to date.

The one thing that you can't account for is how being around a greater range of women improves your chances. This is regardless of how attractive you are. An unattractive bartender or restaurant worker in a city is forced to be social and is around women all the time. He probably gets more action than a better looking engineer who spends his whole life interacting with other men and has male centric hobbies.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/23 10:39 AM
2

Unattractive people in general are just invisible on a day-to-day basis. Nobody looks at ugly womem or men. Negative feedback loop means they spend most of their time away from activities so to avoid any attention. I can say that as average looking man, unless I'm doing some joint activity with a woman, they won't look twice at me.

Dating fatigue is why most of us don't enjoy it. Especially with the apps. It's like I'm telling the same stories about myself, writing the same lines over and over again. I'm also telling the same stories on dates. At a certain point you snap out of it. Sometimes eliminating the stress and boredom of dating is beneficial to your psyche.

Not in western countries. My ex was the last virgin I think I'll ever come across while dating . It's got to be >10% of women over 22. In my country the only virgins are either very religious or complete shut-ins. Most people lose their virginity at university. Even the South Asian women who come to study here aren't virgins. I have noticed an increase in women who've never been in relationships before among zoomers.

To me, your beliefs are following the standard conventions of modern relationships. What you've described leans heavily blue pill. I don't know what purple pill is meant to be anyway. I always thought it was the inbetween stage an 'average frustrated chump' goes through before becoming red pill. That or when a guy is red pill, gets into a relationship and falls back into blue pill thinking because he thinks his girl is special.

It's your age bracket. I had no problem getting dates in my early 20s with women when I was dating for the first time. There were more single women who were open to dating. Fast forward to my late 20s, after a 5 year relationship, and the options are drastically smaller. Women don't have much patience, are burned out on dating, or are too busy due to work. OLD is a bust. I can easily get dates but they never go anywhere or the woman turns out to be crazy/anxious attachment type.

Over a lifetime 3-5 is rather average. High body count is relative to location though. I'm thinking 20+ is high since most people don't have those kind of numbers without some serious partying or travelling.

If a woman is just interested she'll drop subtle hints, glances and enquire about your plans in an abstract way. If she's attracted/turned on she'll drop a good morning text, spam you with messages, get super excited and giggly when she sees you. It's like there's a switch.

I fooled around with a friend when I was drunk and had to explain that didn't want to pursue anything further the next day. That was very awkward. We very nearly had sex without a condom (she wasn't on birth control either). Luckily I was just sober enough not to go through with it.

I don't remember how many people I've kissed. Could be anywhere between 50-100. I have some very faded drunk memories around the age of 18-21. Nearly every time I went out I kissed girls in the club, sometimes multiple girls in a night. Only had one ONS from clubbing. Cockblocking friends are the devil personified.

In my experience, taller and shorter women are the ones with height requirements. Average height women (5'4-5'7) tend to care less. They aren't as conscious about it and haven't had comments like 'wow you're really short/tall'. Then of course it depends on who their friends are dating and their attitudes towards height.

You're about 20 years too late. You should go for a service which tells men what to text on OLD apps. It opens up a bro chat box who tells you what to say and escalate from there.

The service you described is literally what PUA bootcamps do. Most of their customers are autistic/socially inept men.

I know of several men living with their parents over the age of 30. Middle class families rarely kick children out. Some men won't bother getting a good job if the barrier to housing is too high. They are opting out because the reward of working and job security doesn't exist anymore. I notice more women go to university and live away from home. There's little incentive for young men to work if their parents will support them. Wages here are extremely low. House prices in the UK are insane. Many young people will be 40+ before they can own their own home. Take away the incentive to work and some men will opt out.

I'm attracted to petite women with brown hair and brown eyes. I put this down to me having lighter features (light brown hair, blue eyes). I think there's a genetic draw to even that out.

It depends on the situation. If I'm on dating apps I expect multiple rejections, ghosting and failed dating attempts. I can tell from women irl if they're attracted to me from body language and other behaviours. It's easier to figure out whether to approach or ask them out.
