Consent laws are not intended to criminalize drunken sex or even shitfaced sex. When prosecuting someone for date rape, you have to prove that the victim was incapacitated or unable to mentally function. That's pretty tough to do, which is why prosecutors look for things like inability to use a phone or credit card and inability to walk unassisted. Just find something you enjoy. No one has to motivate me to squat or deadlift every week because I love that shit. I start getting cranky if I miss a few sessions. There are so many choices. HIIT, rock climbing, jiu jitsu, strongman, rugby, etc. Anyone can find a fitness regimen that doubles as a hobby.

A .99% reduction in UTIs and a 1.18% reduction in female-to-male HIV transmission aren't enough to call it a medical procedure. The ears are the third most common place to get skin cancer, but you couldn't cut of someone's ears and say it's a medical treatment.

The medical justifications for circumcision are all retarded. According to the AAP, one of the major benefits of circumcision is that it reduces the rate of UTIs from 1% to .1% during the first year of life. Can you imagine the shitstorm if someone said we should amputate baby girls' labia because it reduced UTIs by .99%? We use antibiotics for that shit anyway, not surgery. Just FYI, the Ugandan study you linked to is one of the ones I was talking about. Same problems with methodology as the other two. The meta-analysis and the other studies you linked to may be legit, but I'm pretty suspicious of any pro-circ studies coming out of Africa. Especially if they aren't even double-blind. I'd definitely be worried about experimenter bias in studies involving circumcision.

The WHO got that 60% HIV reduction figure from three African experiments that have been heavily criticized for their poor methodology. There were a number of critical flaws in the African HIV trials. For example, there was a two month period where the circumcised subjects couldn't have sex due to the procedure. This period was actually included in the results. It's hard to contract HIV when you aren't having sex.

Circumcision is not "one methodical snip." For one thing, the foreskin is fused to the glans at birth the same way the nails are fused to the nail beds. It has to be scraped and peeled off with a blunt probe before it can be removed. The procedure takes about 10 to 20 minutes, and I've read that babies often go into shock before it's over.

I think a lot of circumcised guys are unaware that circumcision removes or destroys the frenulum, which is the most sensitive and nerve-dense part of the penis. I was always told the foreskin was just a useless flap of skin.
