This is complex. If she agreed to protected sex she agreed to one kind of situation. If he changed the arrangement midstream, that would seem similar to breech of contract. I think a lot of the negative comments are because you used the R word. I think she would have grounds in a sexual assualt case but not a rape case.

I know I came back to this really late but I am interested in your point of view if you would like to consider continuing this conversation. That said, I believe that marriage is a big decision mostly for the financial consequences. How is forcing people into a contract with huge financial ramifications against their will good for anyone?

From experience, I will say, get the hell out of the US. All the states have reciprosity with child support. If some crazy bitch who was a one night stand turns up pregnant, do not for any reason do the noble thing. You will be dealing with this bitch for at least 18 years.
