Why does she need to show her daughter strength? Its between mom and dad. As a female this makes me cringe.

Maybe I'm living in a bubble but in the area I live in I see both males and females cheating or deciding after 3 kids the want out. Difference with the cheating men is that they dont want to end it despite cheating. Females are quick to pull the trigger on being cheated on. People have lost all sense of loyalty and honor. The future is dreary. I feel like the lorax.

Im 40 and am raising my 2 who i would have given anything to give them a strong role model dad who taught them outdoors, sports, manners, respect all from a male angle.. I had to attempt to do that stuff myself to cover the stuff theirs didnt. Men today just let their kids rot on screens. curious to see how this plays out for the 20 and 30 year olds. When i was 20 we had more options of people. People weren't numb and destroyed by social media. Everyone had their own unique thing going on . I fe…

Sounds like narcissism on her end. Don't stoop to that level. If you make the other parent's life harder it just makes things worse for the kids.

I understand. Regardless, you gotta get a game plan going and improve your situation so the kiddos will feel better about all the changes.

My grandmother raised 8 kids and worked part time or with my grandfather's business. My mom did the same. Generations of moms have given up financial independence to raise kids. Its a scary thought. I also gave up making good money to be there for my kids but with no marriage. Kids need their parents. Its the biggest crisis in society.

Wanna know the biggest reason besides the midlife crisis situation or selfish narcissism? Its the moms working full time and also playing mommy full time and maid full time. I'd argue that's a big contributor to the divorce rate. 40 years ago most moms were just playing wife and mommy and working part time when kids got older. The burnout today is real

The kids would be miserable if their full time parent dated IMO. It doesnt fit with being the primary parent.

Im convinced that focusing on the kids post divorce until they're in their late teens is the best option. The blended family thing sucks ass. Its too hard on everyone. When they're older you'll have your time to date. It won't be to start a family again anyways this late in the game

People are different now. Less deep. Surface level. No attention span. No introspection.

There is a subset of women who still want strong men. Good luck finding a 20 or 30 yr old girl tho who feels that way. I say all the time. Where has the Marlboro man and testosterone and chest hair gone?

You can blame feminism. Im a female and I know the exact type you speak of. 30 to 40 going out drinking with friends. Gets divorce. Focuses on looks. Less time with kids. Its sad and when i see the partying and drinking facebook posts it breaks my heart because of their kids. If it makes it better there are a small handful of women out there who just want to love their families and do whatever they can for them. Men can be very bitter and think women are all the same. Theyre about as different a…

Sounds like a situation most moms deal with who did the SAHM gig so kids dont have to be raised by other people. They gave up their career to raise kids and are left high and dry with nothing to show.

If someone watches Love is Blind then that tells you right there you chose the wrong person. Who would waste their IQ points on that? There are regular people out there still who have productive or creative hobbies and generally enjoy caring for their families.

Men and women do this. Be honest and not just writing out of anger.

I know women who sacrifice everything for their families over themselves. That's why many moms are overweight from cortisol and stress which messes up their hormones. Everyone has this social media perspective of life that isn't true about females. There are both men and women cheating and being self indulgent and narcissistic. There are both men and women giving everything to their families and getting screwed. I hear about it all the time about both males and females when people discuss the ne…

Men do this too you know? A mom just told me about the same story of her husband having a 'spiritual awakening' and becoming a nutcase.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
